Oscars 2023: Jimmy Kimmel jokes about Will Smith slap during monologue 

Will Smith deserves this. As much as I love Will Smith, assaulting a person for a joke is totally uncalled for, especially for such an innocuous joke.

Will Smith ruined what should have been the greatest night of his acting career. A year later we are still talking about his stupidity and how his wife cheated on him with his Son's friend. Let that be a lesson to everyone, the angry mind is a narrow mind. WHen you are angry you only think about what you wanna do to the other person, you never think about what can happen to you when its all done.

Not the biggest fan of Jimmy Kimmel but that was actually a great opening monologue.

The slap was one thing. Ruined Will's legacy forever. But the Oscar win after he did it was the thing that killed Hollywood for me.

After Will Smith slapped Chris, some people went on to comfort Will, such double standards. Will got standing ovation and hugs after he won. Kudos to Jimmy Kimmel for calling out those people 👏 😂

It is amazing how a reputation can be ruined so quickly. Honestly, I have realized that sitting back and just living a low-key life is the biggest blessing in this day and age of social media, politics, and sensitivity of the world that all continue to remind a person of their past sins (or mistakes). Whew! 😅

I'm glad he subtly called out Tyler Perry and Denzel for comforting Smith after the incident.

Will Smith might of won an Oscar but he also lost a lot of respect from a lot of people. I understand that his wife did not find Chris Rock's joke funny, however, Will Smith could have gone about it in a different way by asking Chris Rock for an apology which I'm sure Chris Rock would not have had a problem with that. But physically assaulting him for the whole world to see and during the Oscars and screaming at him from his chair with curse words, made Smith look like a complete thug.

What Will Smith did and what the audience did not do that day, this guy explained it with a great intelligence, and kept it going, meaning, he kept Will's and all the audience's heads inside that S, and kept on pulling in and out, for minutes. And more important than that, this audience keeps laughing. Very interesting, can be stuied as a sociology phd thesis.
