This was the third day of my visit to AirVenture at Oshkosh, WI and my wingman Alex Mello and I were up early and going all-in for another splendid day of aviation greatness. We wandered into the tents and exhibits. We browsed the vendors selling almost anything you can imagine, from airplane cleaning supplies to avionics, software, flight-planning services, tools, tee shirts and every kind of gadget you can imagine. We risked extreme sunburn watching the airshow until our necks hurt. The displays in Boeing Plaza were fabulous (thank you, U.S. Air Force) but the vintage airplane section was stunning. I caught up with CPA's very own Doug Tilghman at the Homebuilt Zone where he was volunteering, and in that area you see some amazing flying machines (and some slightly dubious ones as well). Doug and I also wandered over to the ultra-light grass runway and watched some great flying displays. I can't jam all these sights into a four-minute summary, but take it from me: this was one of the best Oshkosh events ever.
