I have had this bag for 3 years and I love it. Watching your video I finally realized that the hip strap can be removed! The long strap bouncing around all the time was the only(!) thing I did not like about it! Thanks so much! Recently I found out that airlines who do not allow any hand luggage (yes this exists!) will allow it as a "personal item" on board. So, I think it at least once saved me almost the same amount of money as this bag originally cost me! The only thing I did not like was that there is no worldwide repair guarantee. I have traveled the world with it and the mash material on the shoulder strap eventually tore and now I will need to buy the exact same bag again.

Just purchased one of these for running, biking, and hiking with the dog. I think the straps will be good to keep it from bouncing around while running. Looks like this will be the perfect pack for me. Not bulky but large enough to carry collapsible dog bowls, snacks, water, and all the other stuff we need.

I'm 72 with a cane. This will be my first backpack in my life. I need it for the plane as I can't handle a carryon and a cane. I like the drawstring and I'm looking forward to using it without all the extras. I am happy at all you can pack in it. I'll have my purse and the Osprey. thank you for the review. Aloha.

If the drawstring loop is getting caught on things like you mentioned, you can hook it into the fastening hook before the canvas loop to keep it from dangling down. Or feed it through the daisy chain on the back pocket to secure it.

Awesome review! Really thorough. I am both fascinated and weary of drawstring bags but this one is has the hook system that looks pretty secure. I’m looking for a travel pack and osprey has the ultralight dry stuff pack now too so it’s good to see their options. Thank you!

I got this in the Spring as a bag to carry stuff to the pool with my kids. I have to say it looks great but it's been my least favorite Osprey bag. I just found it to be very cumbersome to use. Wish I'd have seen the dry bag...

I used to love Osprey bags but I’m not feeling their pack designs anymore. They’ve started to make (imo) some odd design choices. They do have a lot of variety and options though so I commend them for that.

Why is it like this? This one is missing a bottle holder, and the other 13l daylite is missing a front pocket.

The review is very good, but the product is totally stupid. Seriously, people are getting paid to do a bad project like this? It can only be someone who has never used backpacks in his life. Unbelievable. 🙄
