Depends on your needs. I have been using the Gregory for my work and without the laptop compartment I favor the osprey. But on the rainy days I chose the Gregory . Tough choice
Great video! After many months, what are your opinion on: which one haver better back ventilation, shoulder ventilation and support? Also which one is more water resistant? I don't need laptop support and I am looking for the most light, comfortable and ventilated backpack, with a bit of water resistance.
Thanks for asking. The osprey has better back ventilation, the shoulder straps are better on the Gregory, support is touch they both have great weight distribution. Water resistance I think the Gregory is more water resistance. I find I use the Gregory as my work bag only carrying it for small walks and my osprey is when I am using it as day pack. I recently used the osprey all day and forgot it was there.
I noticed you had a notebook in the osprey that you forgot to take out when you were weighing the two in your hands. I wonder if that also made you feel Osprey was a little heavier. You also had some other tiny items inside the Osprey. Just my 2 cents. I do find the Gregory back to be more stiffer and cannot put my laptop in the back compartment as it’s too small. But the straps a longer which I like on the Gregory as I am a big guy 6’1” 240 pounds.
Hi. You might be right. I do think the osprey is a little heavier but for carrying my laptop I now use the Osprey. I love the straps on the Gregory they are longer and easier to handle but I dropped the bag with my laptop in it. Without a inside pocket the case cracked. I swap between them and after using them both for a while. I can’t decide which I like better. They both have strengths and weaknesses
I do find they get tangle if I don’t put them on right. The Gregory straps after using it a lot stays flat against me. I haven’t noticed neck pain. Thanks for your comment
@@ramon3077 Most companies use recycled materials, so I doubt he means that. I doubt Vietnam has DEI, so that's probably not it. Maybe some color choices look ghey? No camo, no CCW pockets? No American flag patterns? I see nothing woke about my Ospreys.
