After travelling in Mexico and on a family ski trip in Japan, Simon gives the rundown of the Osprey Poco Plus Child Carrier.
The carrier features a sturdy bar system, ensuring stability when loading the child and also helps parents organise the gear for the day. Simon explains how he is super happy with its stability even when packed with gear and while skiing.
The Osprey Poco Plus features a built-in sunshade, which is a quick set-up to protect your little one from the elements. Although unused during their snowy outing, Simon suggests this is a great feature for its convenience and rapid setup, especially beneficial when nap time approaches and tolerance fades. The front harness is sturdy for ultimate safety and the adjustable stirrup system allows the child to stand or adjust for comfort, which helps a sense of autonomy, particularly on descents.
Additionally, the carrier incorporates classic hiking elements like a solid waist harness and adjustable shoulder straps that are essential for weight distribution and support. Its design facilitates airflow, crucial for warmer climates, preventing overheating during extended hikes with added weight.
Simon says that this helps for longer, more comfortable hikes, especially when carrying around 15-20kg of combined weight between child and gear.
Simon recommends the Osprey Poco Plus for adventurous families and says that it is essential for his family.
