I Forgot to mention the Kandarin Teleport switch, this was a bit of an oversight and is indeed a good unlock if you don't want to do Sepulcher I think this moved Kandarin up 1 tier
I recently got lumbridge elite as my first elite diary, and gotta say: needing to only spend a few hours training Smithing to 84 (since you get the +4 boost from Kovac's grog) was well worth the convenience not even needing to think about dramen staves for transportation anymore
I actually found the bonecrusher very useful in one specific niche. If you turn it into the bonecrusher necklace by combining it with the dragonbone necklace, it acts as an amulet of fury, while resroring your prayer for every bone dropped, providing it is charged. Before barraging zombie monkies for 99 magic, I charged the bonecrusher necklace at the ectofuntus and it allowed to me to have literally infinite prayer for my magic grind. I know the monkies drop prayer pots anyway, but its nice not having to pick then up.
52:30 55:50 One note to add about the Ash Sanctifier and Bonecrusher is their synergy with the prayer restoration effects of Catacombs of Kourend and, to a lesser extent, the Dragonbone Necklace. For exp, absolutely a noob trap. But using them while bursting in catacombs will save you money on prayer pots over time, not to mention extending the length of your trips.
100% true, I personally just bring an extra prayer potion and don't notice too much difference. But I think you raise a good point for its use. I wish the requirements on the diary were a little lower given the rewards.
I see the exp differently. It's like doing barb fishing with the strength and agility xp, though not 10%. It's passive xp. You were gonna kill them anyway. And you were gonna leave the bones behind. If the one inventory slot will prevent you from doing a slayer task, then sure, don't bring it. But it is best in slot for prayer bonus, which is the bigger function
Also.. desert easy diary drops noted desert goat horns? They’re close to a bank but I find that to still be quite useful for gathering the secondary herblore ingredient.
@@rhuarkk2138 The rest of us usually buy chocolate /choc dust from recipe for disaster chest, grand tree or simply skip harralanders but that's a cool unique thing to do
for the chompy pet it should be noted that it can only be obtained after the elite diary is done. So the 500 kills from hard -> elite give no chance at pet
thanks for splitting it into easy medium hard and elite. other versions of this ive seen group it by area but thats useless if youre far off from Elite (or even hard) diary skill requisites
ornate rejuv pool in POH requires 82 con if u are using a stew and the crystal saw the elidnis statue restores hp, spec, run, pray, cures venom/poison, and gives you a +7 hp boost the ornate rejuv pool in poh restores hp, spec, run, pray, cures venom/poison the pool at ferox restores hp, run, pray, cures poison/disease, resets all stats to original and resets the timer on stat boost imo all have their use depending on what u are currently doing
4:26 I actually used that bank deposit feature a few times when doing bosses in that area, before I had a Lunar Isle portal in my POH. Though, I really only used it to deposit the lyre when heading to Vorkath or Dagganoth Kings, so I would still have a teleport back if I died at the boss. It's very niche, but has a few uses, just like most things in this game.
I think the falador farming patch only applies to the one by the cabbage patch tp, as when I was leveling farming I remembered being confused on why I was getting more xp from herbs there.
I find that the bone crusher is nice to have in the catacombs to replenish prayer also its nice for some tasks that I find the bones kind of clutter up the ground like at wyrms. I found that the Nardah teleport had some niche uses also to replenish hp and run when on a diffeent spell book, I remember using it sometimes when running zmi in my early rc days. It is interesting to see different perspectives on how people value the different rewards. I also went extremely hard on farming when I started so i found it humorous when you made it sound like the multiple farm teleports weren't necessary since I would do a minimum of 5 farm runs a day until I had reached 99.
You know me, love to see the new post! I'm about 3/4 done with the video. I like longer vids, but I think this video could've been kept to an hour with some adjustments! Keep it up my guy, this is seriously usefull stuff for new players and OG's.
That's really great feedback thanks, I did my best to cut back on what I could, but there was certainly more I could've trimmed or reframed/reworded. I just didn't want to cut too much and miss out on too much information which made it a tricky balance.
peer the seer deposit box is extremely useful for ironman to buy sardines for tower of life red spider eggs also: clues get protected over wildy sword (and all other diary gear), so if you want to range the zammy wizard instead of meleeing, it's nice to not worrying of your webcutting sword causing you to lose your clue (or even worse your spade) diary cape to jed is closer to bank chest than ge tele camulet tele: fastest way to sandstone / granite + one of fastest ways to get to bandit camp for clue steps troll stronghold patch: far from niche for herb runs with diary and stony basalt tele in your poh: disease free patch basically right on top of a tele fro your POH: easy cash for mains, really useful for irons. burg de roth has quite some clue steps piscatoris: clue steps wildy shortcuts: again clue steps
Lumbridge ring 1 has a prayer bonus and the tele to the cabbage patch for farm runs. Only ring i can think of that gives any stat before you get dagganoth rings, so its actually pretty decent for an early account.
49:14 , I think youre overblowing how high a 60 stat is. By the time youre attempting hard diaries you should probably be base 70s to begin with frankly. One of the first things i did on my account was get 70 agility. For the level one should be attempting these diaries i would not call 70s a hard req.
Explorer's ring had use on RS2 times. Clans used to fight at F2P wilderness, so it was only way to restore run energy there. It used to be F2P item. Atleast my clan made it mandatory to get that ring.
toggling the camelot teleport is actually rlly good. it makes the rooftop course the best chill agility method all the way to 99. hallowed is better obviously but seers u can do half asleep and the money/hr isnt that off hallowed for lower floors. maybe even higher for 1-3
Desert Elite diary is huge even with maxed PoH, used while slayer point boosting among other things u wanna do when in the endgame (solo corp or doing clues
The shrine for desert elite overheals and is always faster if you’ve got teles back to where you’re going. Solo corp for example. Crafting cape, games neck, and desert ammy is much quicker than your poh.
I've only been playing for 4 months and one of the major goals I've had for the last 2-3 months is to be able to burn the highest tier shades in the Shades of Mor'ton minigame. I did fishing trawler for the anglers gear, then Tempoross for the food. I cooked the food and went to Wintertodt for the 95 firemaking. Finally last week I got to burn my first Urium shades. Devastated to hear it's not worth it. It seems I've done a lot of things you say nobody does. Guess that's what I get for exploring and doing things my own way.
I'm sorry, I should have been more clear this was meant as a joke. In a game some people have actually played for 20 years, efficiency doesn't matter, fun does. I'm having a grand old time. I apologize for not adding a clarification at the end.
I'm honestly glad to hear that someone else realized how mediocre the ash sanctifier is compared to rewards, or even just the bonecrusher. Bonecrusher is handy if you make it into the necklace (decent prayer bonus, not bad for mid-tier accounts), but the sanctifier just takes up an extra inventory slot. On the other hand though, you'll end up getting the requirements for the diary at some point anyway, you don't have to go out of your way for it like with chompy bird hunting.
Great videos and tier list! I gotta disagree with the desert elite though. The nardah shrine is a far quicker way of restoring stats/spec for things like solo corp (compared to POH). It usually ends up saving 2-3 mins per kill which really adds up if you're doing lots of kc. The plus 7 hp is also nice for better chance of not getting comboed out at while specing down corp. Keep up the fab videos!
This was so good! I got the ash sanctifier early and the bonecrusher necklace. I do love the bonecrusher if I am honest. I don't have to pick up the bones and can be super lazy. But the sanctifiers requirement of death runes is really absurd.
They should make both easier to use IMO, I don't think we need the bonecrusher to need charges, its just tedious. If they made both free it would be such a nice QoL
Very nice guide pretty helpful! Cant say i agree with everything tho, bonecrusher necklace is such good pray boost and also restores prayer. Got me a chunk of xp aswell in the 99 range and mage grind at mm2 caves, wich i could fully afk due to the amulet. Also the explorers ring saved me a whole lotta staminas on the herb runs tbh
Hi, I just got the Ardoughe easy cape, why is it "Infinite Prayer"? New to membership and barely scratching surface of osrs, would love to know if this helps prayer training or something. Thanks!
Hey, so basically you can use the ardy cloak teleport to the monestary to quickly pray at the altar and get full prayer restored. its often difficult to find places that are this easy to access on a free infinite teleport in the early game
Varrock medium is the best diary in the game imo. I think i've used the GE teleport like 5000 times over my time playing the game. It's not S tier for ironmen probably, but as a main it's the best diary in the game 100%. Also you're really underestimating herb runs. One of the most consistent early game moneymakers.
Bonecrusher is hardly a noob trap if you use it smartly. You can get free charges daily claiming the slime buckets from Robin. Just those 13 turn ins gives you 65 ecto tokens per day, which is equal to 1625 charges. Very easy to maintain
Desert amulet is heavily undervalued, the loading time can make the house very inconvenient, and thus makes that statue a lot better for any case where you have a good non-house teleport option. Most importantly BiS at solo corp. Additionally, some skills you just boost which makes the requirements a lot more reasonable, especially if you assume around base 80s stats. Also bonecrusher and ash sanctifier are quite undervalued imo, as you generally dont want to spend too much on prayer training post 75-80, but you still get additional prayer restore from pots etc. so having a passive way of increasing prayer lvls post this, is quite useful.
MAKE A VERSION OF THIS BASED ON IRONMAN GAMEPLAY! I'm decently experienced, but I think that it would help many newer players out. I know most new players don't start as an ironman, but I run into many ironmen that only made it to 1200 total before deciding to do the full/mostly solo grind.
the nardah shrine overheals you and is quicker to get to vs the poh pool, and an alt can pick up dropped loot and veng you at the shrine when farming a boss like muspah or zulrah, so i consider it on par with the ornate pool since veng other is removed when leaving your poh.
I feel like you understated how good morytania hard diary is for ironmen, for regular accounts its pretty bad, but it is one of the best diaries you can complete for a mid game ironman.
As someone who does herb runs in the morning and maybe during lunch at work the lumbridge medium and ardy medium diary are vital. Early on when you have few patches and little agility it makes a active (because your moving) 6 minute herb run into a 4 minute herb run. Imo you shouldnt do herb runs without these so I think both of these are underated here. Really it unlocks herb runs for new accounts which are one of the best money making. methods.
I agree, I think that's something I overlooked as I myself don't particularly enjoy herb runs. But for people who do consistent herb runs and vibe with it, you're very correct
Bro how is frem hard not good. Any extra patches u get access to quickly speeds up your herblore grind. You get a tele right next to 2 upon completion which cant be disased. Herb runs are essential for herblore on irons?
Idk, I wouldn't sleep on the web slashing from the wildy sword. Specifically for the two webs when running from Larran's big chest to the mage arena bank
Great video! I will say that the wildy elite dark crabs catch increase is a goated afk fishing method for both xp and cash to be real; I don't think it rescues it above C tier at best though.
It is pretty good, but risking in the wilderness for only 20-30k GP more per hour compared to anglers which are also AFK. Idk if I would take the risk XD
@@ElysianOSRS fair but it's pretty low risk, (the requirements are steep). But it's very afk and double the XP/hr of Anglers. The fishing grind sucks but this is nice to throw into rotation
The good thing about the prayet restore from falador diary early on atleast is that you have a pryaer restore if you are unable to get prayer potions on an ironman
I would argue with you on a few points, mostly cuz that's the kind of person I am 😂 Though to be fair, it was a good enough video to watch the entire way through, so props for that Mostly helpful guide, though I'd like to touch on a few points, especially for mid level players. The lumbridge/draynor ring. +1 prayer as well, and free. Ish. Unless you're sinking money into the game, or have smashed out some NMZ, handy. The teleport helps for quests too. The hard morytania diary. Admittedly, on its own, the bone crusher is not great. Combined into the necklace, best in slot for prayer bonus (+12!), more than any other piece in the game. Plus the added bonus of burying bones and restoring prayer at the same time. With the relatively cheap 130 ecto tokens (3250 charges) per day, makes the fastest level grinding ranged/Mage methods at monkeys infinite and afk. 2nd best diary reward, though in combination with other items admittedly. Lastly the ardy diary. Pickpocketing being one of the faster methods of mid and even late levelling. That 10% boost around the map is amazing. And works for multiple money making methods. 3rd best reward. Varrock diary teleport to GE makes it THE best, and with low requirements. As long as you're not an ironman (and if you are, you've probably told me already), as early as you unlock this, you probably have 130 quests left that all require you to stop by the GE before you start. Get this. Now.
Personally I think the daily rewards like the varrok staves, the flax keeper, ogre arrows etc. Are all fine rewards from the hard tier and above diaries. It takes less than 5 minutes a day to collect all of those and if you did that for a year it's over 100M for basically no time or effort. Even doing just one or two of them adds up. If you play a lot then that's just super easy added cash flow going onto what you already make. Can it get grindy? Yeah, but this is Runescape. Its already the grindiest game in existence.
I just finished grinding for bonecrusher and ash sanctifier for the exp, i fell for the trap, xd. But at least i got the diaries done, and now i have a radas blessing
At 29:20 the brimhaven arena was bashed but since then it got buffed. It's not terrible now. Worth the graceful recolor and maybe clog the pirates hook then move on to prif level content
Your grinding arguments make literally no sense in this video and are wildly inconsistent in how you portray them. Honestly what even is this tier list? You rate fally hard high because it's helpful in the inferno (a late, late game piece of content that takes a higher grind than any stats required for any diaries at all), but you say ardy hard isn't worth the grind because people have to spend a handful of hours for 72 theiving. Your takes here are just so wildly inconsistent.
Explorers ring 1 has a 1 prayer bonus, and the fally shield 1 has a +3. I think those make it slightly more worth. And i will say, any grind up to 70 isnt actually that bad of a grind, especially of youre a main
Desert elite is fine for ironmen bcuz nardah tp is helpfull for the shop guy who makes ur herbs into unf pots for gold, saces a bit of a trip bcuz nardah is kinda awkward to reach
Kind of a pet-peeve of mine when OSRS content creators act shocked about Elite diary skill requirements as if the diaries are not...the _elite_ level achievements. Diaries should be evaluated in the context of their tier. I expect Easy diaries to have requirements and rewards that are calibrated toward a low-level player. Likewise, I expect Elite requirements and rewards to be targeting accounts with thousands of hours
Before watching the video my guesses on what would be S tier would be kandarin and western provinces. The bolt proc and elite void should easily see the most use out of all perks. Hard perks are somewhat fast to achieve but elites (even the faster ones) take so long to get that even if they're decent like kourends it just won't see much use with most players. Video idea! Do this same with CAs dif perk rewards! Which tier is most useful which is least?
all of them would be in s tier since they all provide huge benefits for each tier , just the increase in boss task kills makes even easy CA better then most easy and medium diary
@@ageofampire2 Yeah they do give a lot better stuff. My thinking was that you can rank them even if they're all good because there's always something that pulls ahead of the other, also things to consider like how hard is that perk to get. I don't think a lot of people have done all the CAs so input from someone who has tried all the perks could be insightful
@@GoodMrFe easy medium and hard help with the void set grind , i got to medium(nearly hard) just by normally training slayer , it also depends at what point you are ingame
I somewhat disagree with the bonecrusher being dumpster fodder. Yes, it requires the Dragonbone Necklace, but getting 1-4 prayer points back from any monster that drops bones (because let's be honest, you're probably not picking up anything under Dragon), can't be ignored. Especially powerful when bursting Dust Devils or MM2 Monkeys. And a little prayer XP on the side isn't worthless either.
I like my explorers ring 2. herb runs are a big deal for mid game and the energy boost is good if I am running around doing the tree/herb run and run out of energy
Saw this video in my sub box saw how long it was and was bout to skip past it, that’s until I saw it was posted by you, if that answers your question about long form content
Falador hard is amazing for iron men, it lets you do mole. I have spent more time in leagues on fala med then any other task, super tilted by the watermelon
The explorers ring low alch.. I know you lose a little bit of money, but when I’m on a bursting task and don’t want to tele out and run back to bank 100K worth of stuff when I can just low alch it for 60K and keep going, it’s great
for wilderness diary 1... im pretty sure guarenteeing to slash a web every single time will on average help you get away from pkers and save you FAR MORE often than having 1 extra food. also who tf is going to have a dragon skimmy when they are in the early game of doing wilderness level 1 diary? try a 30% slash rate over a 67% slash rate.
nah bonecrusher/ash sanctifier is good. yeah, it's not a ton of xp, but realistically, how often are you picking up every bone and saving it for later? it obviously can't replace dedicated prayer training, but that doesn't mean it's worthless. view that few 100k xp as xp not gone to waste. admittedly, grinding 96 fishing for full xp on passive prayer training isn't worth it in a vacuum, but if you're already grinding fishing for some reason and can make a spicy stew or boost in some other way, then mory legs 4 isn't really a bad QOL upgrade. what i mean to say is, if your central goal is to get the legs, then the grind isn't worth it in terms of rewards, but as a supplemental or incidental grind, it's worthwhile.
Oh so if I planned on grinding my skills up regardless of the diary req’s it is worth it? Since after all i’ll be getting the requirement regardless? Whoooo
@@michaelf184 as a rule, training a skill directly will always be better. but if you're doing slayer or something, and you don't want to pick up and bury or bank bones, and don't want to waste xp, then it's worth it
