yea the gotr thing is weird. like, I don't mind it but the scaling was never the issue. it only ever fails because the first few guardians are too weak and the barriers arent upgraded yet. it never fails once you got a few good upgrades
@@hampuswennberg2519 still gotta do guardians but my main goal is Ada's blessing 4 so I'm grinding to 95 slayer and 80 magic and a bunch of other high level skills I need.
the issue with just making the imcando hammer offhand is that then once again it wouldn't work with Amys saw. you want to be able to put it in the offhand when you want to use a staff or a harpoon or something like that, while having it in the main hand while using the saw in the offhand.
@@jurgnobs1308 I suppose these changes would need to be made in tandem, I wonder though if there's some places it's better in off hand and main hand in others in a way that's not simple to fix 🤔
Small team guardians of the rift needs the ability to lock the game because a late arrival usually makes that game unwinnable on the spot. The amount of guardian fragments needed increases but the team doesn't have enough time to get more. Locking manually was already available, this just makes it easier while still allowing people to join mass games mid fight.
@@osrsupdate There's usually a reason for updates that we don't immediately understand. I suppose I wish people said more 'I don't know' rather than 'I dont think this is needed'. I love it when people try to understand things from many design perspectives which is a reason I enjoy listening to this podcast!
@@jurgnobs1308 I think it makes sense to compare to other methods and if it makes sense for how challenging they are or if they provide other desirable rewards. Zmi is very simple and easy but similar xp to gotr. With daeyalt it's even less effort. The reason why I still play some gotr after outfit and colossal pouch is because I want the collectibles and sometimes enjoy the gameplay more. Gotr has great unlocks but I think the xp could be more than zmi because it's more effort. Right now it's not a very interesting choice when the easy method is also similar or better xp
@@selkokieli843 right. and that's the balance it's pretty decent at. gotr is good but there are a few annoying things like the 200 player limit they now want to fix
@@jurgnobs1308 I could see an increase in xp for gotr. It feels like a silly choice to keep doing gotr after unlocks when it's more effort for same or less rewards
@@selkokieli843 you get a whole lot more useful runes at gotr. zmi mostly gives you garbage. there is a reason far more people train rc now than ever did wirh zmi. people like it.
