Thank you for your video very informative. My dog is a front left leg amputee, 4 months post op ,he was doing not too bad but has now slowed down a little and stops when out walking. He is a big dog so I appreciate your advise on keeping dogs lean, he has lot about 3kg since his op ,he weighs 30 kilos at present and on a controlled diet .I'm hoping he makes further progress 🤞 as he has slowed down and I do worry about OA in his elbow I really hope he doesn't get that ,as the other leg that was amputated was due to spindle cell sarcoma cancer and he also had arthritis in the elbow it was the cancer that caused the OA pushing his elbow out. I love my dog ❤he is 8 years old Thank you once again. Miss Hira.

As a rehab vet told us, if a dog sits on a walk, they've gone too far. For best results consult with a certified canine rehab therapist for proper evaluation, treatment recommendations and an exercise program designed to specifically address your dog’s needs. Visit a CCRT or CCRP and the Tripawds Foundation can pay for your first visit! tri.pet/findrehab
