Great job at making the semi auto MG42 look full auto! I could tell from the recoil but you almost had me thinking you had a WWII version! Awesome vid Brent
Well made movie. Always had been interested in ww2 history, in my case it is more easy to access it directly- i have been living in region where- once was trapped german army group "Nord" later renamed "Kurland" from autumn 1944.- till may 1945., if you have maps you can find the old battlefields, hence the remains from fortifications. More exciting is the metal detecting on those areas- been doing it for a long time, every item found tells a story.
There is a short film series made by some European lads called "Kurland" from the German perspective. Kinda humanizing when you realize everyone had their role to play, and those boys thought it was for king and country. Not as evil as the books would tell us.
Top film. I heared tales like this from my grandpa. But a left hand shooter in the Waffen SS.....unthinkable. Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹 The home of Steyr, Gasser, Luger and Glock.
Thank you Brent, most enjoyable. That was well acted, more believable than a lot of movies. And I like how you positioned people to show how effective the camouflage pattern on the uniforms could be.
THAT WAS GREAT! what a huge amount of work must have went into that. especially loved the attention to detail in ammo bearers bring more cans up. 1st tier movies dont show those kind of little details. love the hot commie sniper too.
@@moistcakebytheocean3442 You mean "can you write a sentence correctly"... You'd think since you're such a little grammar Nazi bitch that you'd know the difference between a paragraph and a sentence.
Was it Mrs. 0331 at the beginning? Very good Brent ! Stay safe man ! It is going to be bad in US ( like it is in Italy now). Audio is done perfectly including “handgranate” in perfect moment 👍
This is amazing! Really enjoyed this - well done guys and gal :) How many times did Brent die? Did you all have fun rolling around in that trench? Savage bottle and shovel action! Bravo!
Best part about Brent's productions is he doesn't waste time getting to know the actors. Everyone is going to die anyway. Mrs. Brent enjoyed that scene a little too much...
By 44 most seasoned units (most on the eastern front where, especially if they got their hands on "Schlupfhemden"/camo & frontline units) disgarded of the k98 in favour to a something semi or full auto. Also to my understanding german machinegunners never carried k98 pouches. For your reenacting you might be interested in the different "Infanteriemesser" (infantry knife / combat knife). In addition to that there is a certain way a group was set up in lineformation. For a few pointers you might be interested in this (although this only shows how it "should be", experience says even todays german military doesn`t go directly by the book and not everything is written down): b-ok . cc Company officer's handbook of the German Army United States. War Dept. Military Intelligence Division I don`t link directly for legal reasons
Great video, guys! This was fun to watch. I liked seeing the various patterns being implemented well, and the sniper gal had this smirk like, "Dah, I have overwatch." lmao
Nice special effects!! Did Re-enacting for 40+ years, to old now. I sure do miss it. Course, I had to play the bad guy. Bought my first MP-40 for $1000. Mg-42 was $5000.
Даа вот сколька фильмы смотрью русские солдаты не умели воевать,совершали много глупостей и погибали без орденов....криком (ура) когда без этого можна ,выдовали себя глупыми смертниками и всё....
WOW, really well made, you really had a lot of authentic gear and clothing gathered up for this one, and even real "German shouting" in the background. I must say, that it is impressive, how well these old camo patterns perform, here, (noone in the splinter tarn, though, as far as I recall?) Also the plain, solid color uniforms are interesting to see, in this environment, put up against each other. I must say, that to me, the "effectiveness victory" goes to the "Russian brown", over the "German field grey" ones. I hope, that you had so much fun, all of you, that you might consider doing more of such stuff, maybe also a "summer version", (even if still a lot of green grass left here,) or something from the "Western front"? Nice day, to all, and looking forward to the next!!
looks like they all enacted SS, and Splinter was used in Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe, the one thing I could say against the camo is, that they almost exclusively used the pea dot pattern, while in reality most SS troops had to wear old stock oak leaf camo, or even plantane, the latest pattern wasn't very widespread. logistics were stretched to the limits and beyond in the last months of the war. you used what you had. All in all this was a great short movie.
@@couchcamperTM Yes, I thought of the same thing, afterwards, SS did not use splinter tarn, and the others did not use SS camo so? Thanks for the reply!! :o)
@@couchcamperTM false, units like the 17th ss pz div GVB,12th ss pz div Hj,9th ss pz div,1st & 2nd ss pz div got tons of dot-44 patterns, just by looking the ammount of pea dot 44 camouflages in wear by the soldiers of those units, altougth i agree that even patterns like smock palm-tree were still in service in 1944 ( a proof of this is grenadiers from both 12th panzer div Hj & 17th ss panzer div GVB wearing those during the battle of Normandy).
Friend is showing you his Gun collection, and hands you an in mint condition actual MG42 from WW2- saying, "yeah they tell me I probably can get a few bucks for it."
Brent I love it , I’ll call it a small movie you and your comrades made wow you made my day kid it’s as good as any thing I’ve seen on RU-vid. way to go my man I’m a history buff and I also draw and publishes ,history based graphic novels and I can say I know the amount of work you put in to this production was no small feet keep it up brother ! ronin from Boston MA ..... Thank you
I can't my friends to go to the range let alone convince them to attend One Sheppard with me. Yet here comes Brent with an entire damn platoon for reenactments. I need new friends.....
Ha, unfortunately if I were to do something like that it would either be demonetized or I'd have to "share" revenue generated off the video. Not that I'm doing this for money because you don't really make shit in comparison to the time and effort put into it. But its still nice to get a little something back for the investment.
Wow, thank you Brent, your videos have always been good but keep getting better and better. We appreciate the time and effort you guys put into these. Really awesome👌

Damn if you guys couldn't make some short films that would be bad ass. I know that's what these are, pretty much. But, I mean, with acting, and a plot, and action. You guys have came a long ass way in your craft. Awesome job.
my father (from germany) found a "kartentasche" my grandfather (german side) just like the one at 2:44 my grandfather (german side) was a "Kradfahrer Melder" ( something like a recon on a motorbike) and defended the "Brücke von Remagen" (bridge of remagen). My mum is from the USA (her dad was born in canada and my grandma came to the USA in the early 50s... my grandpas heritage is german and spanish) and my dad is from germany (100%). One of my grandpa's friends fought in Remagen on the american side. My german grandpa fought on the german side (i never met him, cuz he died 5 months before i was born). My father told me what he went through. And my grandpa's friend told me what he went through, he died last year. idk if any one cares ... just wanted to share this story cuz the "kartentasche" reminded me.
Brent that's awesome. It took a lot more time to film the scenes, edit it, and make it all come together for "just" 5:30 minutes of final video. well done.
Couldn't be more right man, people have no idea! We spent about 8 hours out there filming this and it took me about 3 days of editing to get this 5 minutes.
It’s a good thing the Germans didn’t have Primary Arms optics with ACSS reticles, otherwise the war would have ended differently, and this video would have turned into another one of them cheeky plugs for PA.
Весьма не плохо👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, только солдаты красной армии в атаке кричали "Ура", а непросто "ааа". А так это короткое видео уже как минимум не хуже современного российского кино о Великой Отечественной Войне😏
This is friggin' awesome! I used to reenact in a WWII German unit too. Where do you get all the HW?!!!! Do you round up all of the collectors in the state?!
No, between the three of us we came up with all this. Bruce and Vargo use to reenact German SS, I use to do Soviets and also have some uniforms to do German as well. The weapons came from all of us. I have a semi-auto MG42 (which is actually a Yugo M53) & DP. The SG43 and the ZB-26 are demils that I have.
Woah, woah, woah! Did not expect this. Mondo packed with what you need for the weekend. Hehe, let's roll, thanks Brent! And the WWII German camos again! Great to see how they work amazingly well in the autumn environment. You got a lot of people to come film with you, that's great and always great to see, though not so easy to organize.
For is pathetically simple as Russian camouflage smocks were for snipers in the terrain you were using it was absolutely perfect you won't be able to see her from a distance
Dude that is an awesome video I bet it was a lot of hard work thanks to you and everybody involved thanks do more please even modern battles I like this a lot thanks
A Panzerfaust wasn't an anti-personnel weapon. I mean, if you hit a guy DIRECTLY with the shot, he'll obviously down. But it was purely armor-piercing, meaning there was no shrapnel thrown about from the detonation to kill nearby infantrymen... it WASN'T a "poor-man's mortar", as this film depicts...that's what grenades were for.
My grandfather enjoyed his time in Russia, especially the 6 years after the war being a POW in Siberia. He liked it so much that he went to the war in Korea after his release. And later on he fought in Africa as a mercenary. I guess some people just love to suffer, and make others suffer. Ooh, and you better didn’t mention communism....that kinda triggered him. Even when he was almost ninety years old (and the USSR didn’t even exist anymore) he would go on a long, vicious rant against “those godless red animals”. Imagine his outrage when my sister’s new boyfriend walked in with a red Ché Guevara T-shirt...”in the good old days, idiots like you were taken care off thoroughly” and then he stared at the kid with so much hatred in his eyes 😂😂😂 he was a piece of work.
Magnificent work, bravo! Cool showing the leftie work the bolt, the use of a female sniper in the Red Army, and all the little things. Y'all should be consultants in Hollywood lol, they could use the help!
I am going to make and send you something for camouflage, a cloak.. You will like its capabilities outside the naked eye if it works. What is your most effective camouflage pattern of choice for year round in the area which you live? If you had to trust your life to one pattern that worked well enough for your area year round which would it be? The outer fabric will be 70 D nylon. Its free of charge except an honest review and sponsorship.
This is great stuff man! I like your little short films, you actually do a good job at placing your camera for some great shots. I'd certainly like to see what you could do if you teamed up with a good indie film company. You should give it a try :D
Generally, good film. But sorry, this sniper girl was awful. Airsoft sniper players have more skill how to camouflage and move. And it's nothing fancy at all.
Dang! who is the russian girl in the amoeba camo? This could be a story, German Waffen SS soldier falls for Russian sniper, they survive the war together
