It's been a while since I made an osu! tidbits video, but that's mostly because I'm running out of topics/ideas. Reply with weird and obscure osu! topics, and they may be used in future videos! As always, thanks for watching!
Playing std map in taiko is always a fun thing because you never know how the taiko converter will destroy the map to make it or impossible, or simply spamming red notes for 5 hours.
I can agree, the Taiko converter is really dumb. When one of my hands was injured I gave Taiko a shot and played only beatmaps converted from std. They are infinitely times easier than the actual taiko maps, you dont even need a second hand to play properly, since almost no map under 3 stars even has bursts.
Sometimes the weird layout in std if converting to ctb, its just like hyperdashes everywhere or even a map has only Y axis only (up and downs) can be catch converted into... Not touching the catcher at all.
@@kirby6548 im top 2,500 in taiko and play one handed. std converts are absolutely unplayable most of the time because std charts tend to mess with slider velocity and make notes that are only on the screen for a tenth of a second.
@@kirby6548 don't fully play converts tho you should really be playing taiko maps from about futsuu-muzu level onwards to help improve yourself source: me (im #750 global)
osu players before 2020 dont know that feeling of playing the bundled beatmaps. the originals. my love. tear rain. renatus. flaklypa. the light. that feeling was elite
Vroom vroom, thanks for the free promo! I've got no clue if any other slider+spinner map translates into taiko in such an unplayable way. However, honestly I love how broken this game is and how many bugs a standard map can cause in another modes. In all seriousness though, this whole set is a stuff of legends and shines bright in the Polish community, let me tell you that! Being the nichest of the nichest has its surprising perks. Also an obligatory off-topic comment by Krfawy: Rember to buy "Madame X" by Madonna & "Discipline" by Janet Jackson!
actually this map (top play+DT) was my top play, most of a polish players know this map and probably all polish people know the artist, Krzysztof was really popular and good singer, but very sadly he died about a year ago..
Little late, but one version of Granat has this problem as well on its easy diff, as well as a couple loved maps. Still, only one of the loved maps had a greater length, and that had a quarter of the sliders (Camellia - Nuclear Star (Momoko's Absolute))
Additionally, most of the taiko scores on the leaderboard are set with HT, since it allows more time for spinners to be mashed, which rewards more score.
As somebody who doesn’t play a ton of OSU and have basically been just binge watching your videos all day, the first beatmap that comes to mind when thinking of OSU is a beatmap of the popular “oh no our table” meme
The 0 circles thing reminds me of the top diff of one mapset of catchit by s3rl in which there are no sliders. also i totally didnt blurt out ego, schizoid, beat when you said first beatmap i could think of, i listen to too much demetori qwq
Somewhat related but I know a map that has its leaderboard the exact opposite of this map. Everyone has a full mod SS on it on osu!catch Map is "Ash Like Snow (TV size)" mapped by Myxomatosis Just watch a replay on the lowest diff on osu!catch to see what I mean I know this because I'm #2 in our country leaderboard and I'm still salty about it. (repost since yt deleted my previous comment with the beatmap link D:)
There's also an another osu standard map called "Yoko Shimomura - Itsu demo Happy" mapped by bluirre. The "hyper talk" diff in that map is exactly 0.00 stars in osu catch convert mode, and everyone has a 4 and 5 mod SS on that diff
