I live in Toronto and I think it looks like crap. Too many modern looking skyscrapers, then small strip malls with Timmys, Wendys and then dumps. a few Victorian/Euro architecture buildings but too American looking. I like the more euro looking cities with the more Victorian architecture buildings like Rome, Paris, Berlin, and now I see Ottawa. Also Old Montreal, Quebec City. Nice city. Thanks for sharing. Must visit it someday( Note I went to Carleton U in 1996 so forgot what it looks like and it probably changed a lot). The only reason for me not going up there is Trudeau. Once Pierre becomes PM i'd gladly visit it.
Thanks for your comment my friend!! You're right, if you are looking for a city with a more French and English style with a rich religious past, which is reflected in the buildings Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City are the ideal destination in Canada.
I’m an American who visited Toronto a few weeks ago. I respectfully disagree. The area around the University of Toronto is very nice. Toronto Island is also beautiful. The city is very laid back. The only problem is that half the people in the city smoke weed.
