Also the K is where it's at for the shorter barrel rifles. The gas blowback is significantly reduced going to the K can on SBRs as compared to the full size. And it is surprisingly quiet for a K can. For buffer weight you can go up to the H3 with a standard carbine spring. If you want to get fancy and go with an A5 set up go with the Sprinco Green and an A5H2 (assuming you don't have a gas port as wide as your best friend's Mom.)
Wait, the K verison is better on shorter barrel lengths? I thought it was the complete opposite, where K size cans are better utilized on 13.7” - 18”. Forgive me if i’m wrong & correct me as well. I’m getting into the can world.
K can has less back pressure but is a bit louder on shorter barrels. If you like getting gassed out by all means, run the full size. I have both. I've run both. The K can is smoother. Even the owner of OCL will tell you the K can was made for SBRs
I’ve been stuck on the Lahar 30 as my first NFA item for the past few weeks. I’m very happy to say you have convinced me to go this direction instead. So many of the points you addressed in this video were things I had questions about and weren’t going to be answered by lurking on Reddit. Great review. You just earned yourself a subscriber, sir!
Polo is a good choice unless you are planning on silencing 30 cal too. They also have a Polo in 30 cal that has the same rear bravo interface. I got a polo in jail right now but it is intended for 6mm ARC.
I have the full size and the K and a Polo 30 on the way. Rearden makes the most versatile set up IMHO. And it wont cost an arm and a leg if you need multiple mounts. It came highly recommended from OCL as well.
+1 for rearden. Tons of compatible muzzle devices, reasonably priced $80ish hub mount. Super lightweight and compact compared to more mainstream mount options. Im running a Polonium K with rearden atlas and a Forward Controls 6315 flash hider. Awesome setup.
Thanks for the review…mine just showed up this week….let freedom ring. Can’t wait to shoot with it. Also I went with the Dead Air KeyMo and 2 three prong Dead Air flash hiders so I can swap between my 16 and 11.5 setups.
Thank you for the review. Mount suggestion will be the Rearden Atlas. I have own every QD for supressors except the surefire ones( they leak and carbon seized pretty bad to the point you have to shoot off down range your can).
Yeah, the good thing is that you can use various muzzel devices from Rearden, liberty precision machine, Dino Precision, and Q. So once you have the Atlas mount from rearden, your options are vast.
@jameswnelson I run a bit heavier buffer. I have the Breek Arms Warhammer on a couple different rifles now. But yea...thread and go! Most people overcomplicate suppressors.
@RTTGunsGear I just got mine and it will go between my MK18 clone 10.3" and Piston driven 12.5" Wolf A1, both in 5.56. I have a Bootleg adjustable BCG on the MK18, no gas adjustments on the piston BUT both are H2 buffers. Can't wait to try her out!!!
@mdlassel I think it was Fenix. It really wasn't worth a damn, which is why it's not on that rifle anymore. The tape switch was junk. Delayed light, spongy, cheaply made.
I know I am late to the party but I like surefire muzzle devices and the only hub mount for them is B&t. I have one of their cans with the sf mount and it’s great
I have keymo system stuff and a buddy has rearden. I’m probably going to convert to rearden. Keymo has been great for me so far don’t get me wrong, but it’s more than double the weight of a rearden system AND it’s expensive as hell to outfit your barrels with
@@stormtropper88 Your ignorance speaks volumes. Turn around times are 3-4 weeks now and yes absolutely the S5 owns the OCL….. In size , tone , and style. Sorry little fella cope harder.
@@FKAROUNDANDFINDOUT. Recommending the sierra5 in 2024 or any dead air product speaks volumes to how cuckolded you are to a company that has had the biggest fall from grace in the suppressor industry ever because of their poor handling and poor qc
My favorite ultra quick connect would be buying this at Ace Hardware and immediately taking it home to thread onto my gun with NO unconstitutuonal paperwork or theft tax. 😂
So while in jail I’ve been going over qd’s. And I don’t want to add length to my 12.5 build but I do want to shoot both ways. Best attachment:Q/plan B/rearden. Best WORKING muzzle device: FCD 6315rf. It is a short (1.7”) a2 flash hider with outer threads (q/plan b) and as Garand Thumb tested…the best flash suppression of any muzzle device. Coolest muzzle device: Quietbore f.u. Which is a 3 prong (fuckya!) with outter threads. Best adapter: Ecco machine for q/plan b: only adds the 1/4” outter flange….but you’ll need a spanner wrench to install Also can use rearden atlas. But it adds a touch more length (about 1/2”). Spanner wrench for Ecco= OTC 4791 $28.65 Amazon.
@@RTTGunsGear look into Ecco machine! Their plan b adaptor is wrench flat-less! Need a spanner wrench to install but shortens setup substantially compared to Rearden atlas!
@@jasongaudreau2075 is it still compatible with the Atlas hub mount? I have a bunch of money now wrapped up in muzzle devices for my rifles for the hub mount.
@@RTTGunsGearyessir it is!!! Plan b/q/Rearden atlas muzzle device compatible! I personally have the FCD 6315rf “a2 birdcage” with plan b mount. And I also have a “Quietbore” F.U. 3 prong plan b! I dunno if you used either of these 2 MD’s but ya, if you got plan b/rearden muzzle devices, the Ecco Machine adapter is same as rearden atlas! If you want the best performance as far as flash and sound suppression without a can…nothing has beat the ole A2 birdcage! And the FCD 6315rf muzzle device is exactly that! An A2 WITH rearden atlas threading. And for looks, the 3 prong FU is the coolest looking without the can.
@@RTTGunsGear pretty spot on, had no major problems with mine. it’s super gassy but it’s cause i’m on a 10.5 inch barrel, im trying to get a new buffer because i also have a binary trigger and without the suppressor it will shoot binary but with the suppressor it won’t shoot binary. great suppressor over though. i’m glad they’re slept on because i wanna get a 7.62 can while they’re cheap and durable. bought mine for like 540 before the scamp and i have a dead air keymo mount too.
I am however, still stuck between the polo and the polo k! I have a 12.5” mid-length gas setup. No adjustable gas block and the K has less back pressure….but the polo has the best performance. And the difference is only 1” & $10….we are talking Los Vegas hooker alley way dilemmas here!!!
@@RTTGunsGear on sale? I’d grab it!!! My ffl uses silencershop kiosk. And polo & k are on back order. Can’t get ppwork going on a stamp til one arrives with numbers on it. Frustrating.
I have the DeadAirSilencers Xeno qd system. Only qd system I have used, and so far I’ve had no issues. Though I hear a lot people talk about Rearden…. For what it is worth.
@@KeithFleming-qs2kh I abandoned the DT thought just because if I messed up somehow and started crossing threads or my barrel threads got a ding in them, then it's a new barrel rather than just replacing a muzzle device.
If it was a 10.5, I'd say yes. But the H2 in my 16" runs really well. And being so close in length to 14.5, I really couldn't say. The good news is that buffers are relatively inexpensive and if it doesn't work out, you'll surely be able to find someone who needs an H2.
