Well, he was the king. He was the Emperor of Austria, Apostolic King of Hungary, King of Bohemia, of Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Galicia and Lodomeria and King of Jerusalem.
Von Schnüpp-Tüchel Titular Emperor of Austria, Apostolic King of Hungary, etc. He had a claim to the throne and was a good man. Show him that respect, even in death, at least
He should have been the emperor, unfortunate Österreich did not realize how much of an asset he really was. I believe he could have changed moved Europe in a very positive direction. As I understand it, Churchill was very much in favor of his ascending the throne and reestablishing the Empire, but Stalin blocked it.
Churchill once said „a crowned weimar republic would have led to an age of prosperity and peace in europe“ before ww2 when talking about germany - he knew it was a powderkeg and that patriotism needs a king in order to not become nationalism - after all churchill didnt like democracy at all he was a massive monarchist - how different the world would be if he actually achieved a hegemony of the austrian, german and british crown as european defenders instead of what we have today....
to them he was their king. he was the last Crown Prince of Austria. but to them he will always remain their faithful king a man of peace and prosperity
@@ciala4830 I mean the habsburg kings and princes didn't do nothing wrong, they are not corrupt kings. Austria is also very conservative and Austrians stay neutral, for sure theres minors that doesn't like it for being communists
@@aceisto2268 i know. Obviously they are not perfect, but in comparison to others, the were really the best. It's unfortunate that the empire broke down due to the incomprehension between populations
@@dziadziuszwehrmachtu3480 oh. We have those in the UK, but our ones are fewer between and secretive. Everyone is aware of them but if they were brought to brighter light they'd be torn apart by any Labour parliament.
I believe most of them are re-enactors. Most of those uniforms haven't been used in over 100 years. I noticed some uniforms date back to the Napoleonic era. 🙄 Based on their uniforms and marching, it looks like the first two groups are actual military.
He was a big supporter of the EU and was the parliament member for Germany for a few years. He was also president of the International Paneuropean Movement. That's why.
