WFP barrels are very heavy when full - at least 25kilos so you must be really careful how you lift them so if you are going to continue with a trolley or backpack system to clean your windows with pure water, then I have some tips for you that might just save your back. I suffered from a really bad back a couple of years ago but strangely, it happened whilst making the bed! Lifting barrels can be very dangerous and they can seem a real chore lifting them up and down all day. There are however a few tips that I can give you to make the whole thing a bit easier like only filling the barrels up 2/3 instead of to the top. Ok, you might need some more barrels this way but I can tell you that it makes it so much easier.

Used to work in a Vauxhall Corsa with the back seats ripped out. Lifting those barrels into a boot was absolutely brutal, often would damage my elbow, shoulder or wrist. Now I use backpack, trolley or van system depending on whats best for each job. Some commercial work I end up using all 3 and traditional on one site. Just try and make everything as easy as possible for myself. Not affordable for everyone, but I'd say well worth the investment

Hi Chris great video great tips I do the same but I dont suck on the hose Chris my tip get your hose pop your finger on the end fill it with water then put the end in the van barrel first then the other end in the backpack the water will flow through and create the suction for you and continue to fill. I had to learn this trick after emptying my tropical fish tank nd swallowing fish water or on 2 occasions small guppy fish 🙈.

used this method for awhile but always fill barrels right up, damaged some nerves in my wrist one day when I stupidly tried to lift a full barrel with one hand. I quickly changed over to 210l tank and hose reel and have been using a 12v diesel transfer pump ( ebay ) since then to fill my back pack

Are those barrels anti glug? I inadvertently noticed how much easier anti glug barrels are to use than some 25l barrels.

No not anti glug but highly recommend anti glug ones. There is a way to pour ordinary ones so they dont glug as much. See "Pouring 25ltr Barrels".

Hello Chris been watching your channel for a time now and enjoy your content. I now what u mean about a 20 litre + drumbs doing yr back in. A simple but over looked idea is to buy 10 litre drums they dont take up any more room and easy to lift. Cheers M

I'm now going to tell Chris the easy way if you are using a trolley like what he built years ago you can pump water straight out of the car when doing the front of houses and only lift to take them out of the car to put on trolley to do the backs of houses

Yes and he's doing well with a big van system and going for some big contracts. See "Windows Cleaned Today".
