So happy for his progression. My son was diagnosed with Autism and delayed learning. He missed all of these milestones regarding his speech. He lost his voice for two years. My Jackson is now almost 13 years and is thriving. 🤗
My daughter as well. Love my two so much, too!! Now 17 & 19!! My daughter is perfectly okay with herself just the way she is!! Love her self assuredness!!
@Dawn Brunk have you ever watched Finding Coopers Voice? It is an amazing journey and real, raw feelings. He has come from absolute zero speech, never leaving the house from complete melt downs, being told to institutionalize him, etc… he is the opposite of what the “specialists” had informed them about their son.
My son ( now 23) had problems with pragmatic speech due to his autism . Because he hit the main milestone within the target ages ( albeit at the latter end) it took until he was 6 to be diagnosed. You wouldn't think he was autistic now he's an adult. His older brother walked and talked by 11 months old ( and hasn't shut up since). You could have a proper conversation with my oldest by the time he was 18 months.
Did anyone notice at the end when they were trying to get Jack to say "I, Love, You" Jack kept saying "jack" after they said "I". I think he was identifying himself,cause there was a pause after "I" , as in in his mind, "I am Jack" I=Jack. Smart kiddo!!
Omg he is TOO stinking cute!! I miss when my kids were so little and sweet and innocent! My oldest just turned 18 and my youngest will be 17 in June! Kids are the best blessing in the entire world and I cannot imagine my life if I wasn't a mother
@@babyface45 well mine are 37, 35, 32, 31, and 30!! I remember when mine where little like Jack like it was yesterday! That’s why I tell my children to make sure they cherish every minute with my 13 grandkids because it flies by so fast and you don’t want to miss a thing!!

Jack’s early stage development doesn’t surprise me at all, given how early on they communicated, spoke, and interacted with him from day 1. He’s learning through dad and mom and it’s so beautiful to watch! Great job Derik and Sarah!

I took care of a sweet boy from birth til 3yrs old that reminds me of Jack!!! His dad loved the ocean ..we went deep sea fishing ..swimming ..etc ALL the time. Loved that smart boy...Still think of him often. I'm 69 now. He's in late/middle 40's. Would do it all again in a NY minit. You go Jack. I know Sail R. is still sailing.Along with his Jack and Gillian. God Bless all.

Who goes on a hike in sandals??? 😂 Fun times. Jack is doing well, being surrounded by other people helps a lot with development and and reading! Reading is amazing for toddlers. They catch on to the words and how they are pronounced. Eventually will be able to read. Also talk about the story. Make sure kids can comprehend the book not just read it. The younger the better. You guys are doing something right! 🥰

Please have Jack work on crawling skills even though he is smart and is already walking. For future reading development skills, it is crucial that he crawls. I know it sounds bizarre but there is a direct correlation between reading development and processing through each developmental stage from crawling to pulling up to standing to walking to running. Each stage directly correlates to reading development, so please play games with him and get him crawling. You will not regret it.

Just a note, my oldest sister never crawled either. When she was in the 6th grade, she was struggling with problems at school so after some Dr appointments, they sent out a physical therapist to teach her how to crawl. After several days of falling on her nose or face she finally got the hang of it and had to do it so many minutes daily for 2 months. Then she was great with no more comprehensive problems at school. While he is still little, maybe have crawling races with him for a couple of months. It wouldn't hurt to check with a neurologist and get his opinion. I love you guys and all of your posts.

Your child is amazing, way beyond hi age!!! I've have yet to see you guys reading to him, our child was reading and showing comprehension of what he had read at 21 months. With an ability to hold a conversation with anyone, be it that he was brutally honest in such conversations. Regardless you are amazing parents, keep it up!!!

My first was ahead in everything, my last was delayed physically, the doctor said nothing was wrong with her, she just had 4 older siblings catering to her alllll the time so there was no need to do anything herself lol! She’s very ahead speech wise! She just turned 16 months and talking sooooo much!!! 2-3 word sentences!! Again I’m sure having 2 parents and 4 siblings taking to you constantly helps!! Kids are just so precious!!!

Awwww I love Jack. That’s the difference of parents at home spending their days with their kids. They learn a lot faster if you’re always talking, interacting and teaching them, it’s the one on one interaction. My two nieces were 4 months apart. My sister was home all the time and spent it with her and interacting so by the time she was 11 months old, they had flash cards for kids. Like A for Apple etc. she would flip thru them and say them all. I was amazed. Especially like X for Xylophone lol. She would sit and go thru pages of kids books and although she didn’t know the words, she would explain the story some page by page lol. Because my sister read them to her a lot. It was adorable. My other niece who both parents worked and was in day care playing with other kids and not much one on one didn’t say much other than momma daddy bubba for bottle etc. It’s nice to be home but not all can do that. 💕
He is so smart because of all the interaction he has with both of you. You don't sit him in front of a television or stick him in a playpen and leave it up to him to learn. So many have commented on how the two of you were to young to get married and start a family. Well, here is the proof that age has nothing to do with it. It is all about if you are at a level of maturity to handle it and when you really want to be parents and take on all the responsibility. If all couples were as loving, caring, interactive, and responsible as the two of you, then the children of this world would be in great hands. I am a grandma of 3 beautiful grandchildren, aging from 21 to 1.5 years in age. I wish their mom and dad's had been as great as the two of you. Love you channel and your shorts.. I can't wait for baby 2 to come along. Praying for you both.

My son and I got taken out by a wave at Bellows Beach when we were riding them when he was 3 and he was DONE with the PONNNDDDDD! He would not go in water again for a long time! Poor Jack! I bet he’ll get over his fear soon!

My son walked at 9 months just like his mama. But he didn't really talk until he was 4. Mainly due to being without oxygen for so long after birth. Struggled with kindergarten because of the speech delay but after therapy he excelled like crazy. He has won countless awards in every grade from 1st through 8th. Can't believe he starts highschool in September. 🥺 Enjoy and cherish every single moment of Jack and your new one on the way. I know that goes without saying but damn it goes by crazy fast. I now look at my 15yr old 6ft man child with a mustache and all I see is a 5 year old boy standing in front of me. (He's 8 in the profile picture)🤣.
You are so right im the mom of a 26year Old 6.4tall Young man i Can t believe How time fly. I see him at all Ages at the same time andoften miss his little arms and kisses ect but i feel such joy and gratitude with every new step he master now being a business it consultant graduated with strait topgrades already getting promotedvafter a year in the worlds largest consultantfirm.
