A suggestion regarding product packages. I've noticed of late that when it comes to investing in the Bosch 18V system that there's only 2 effective ways of investing in the setup, firstly buying tools with chargers, batteries and cases, the other is body only tools with / without cases. With this, there's no real ability for a customer through any Bosch partner to make a custom tool package. Say you wanted to buy your ideal / dream setup, the current problem we face is getting hold of stock, the main issue in that is being pushed in to buying tools with cases when perhaps we don't want the cases, yes, there's cardboard box versions, but most suppliers don't have stocks. What if we could have, like Makita does with some dealers, a Build your Bosch setup, discounted price on a setup where you choose your battery system, charger and the tools you want with their respective accessories, either in a set of cases or bags. That would really encourage customers to build a system that fits their needs. Had this been me a little while ago, I would have been as happy as a pig in muck if I could have tailored my setup needs. With the launch of the new GSS18V multi head sander, which I'm looking forward to as I hated the original cordless palm sander due to it's balance and single speed, it hurt my hands so much that when the GEX18V-125 came out, I was so relieved. So, why not produce a package containing the GEX18V-125, the new GSS18V you're releasing, accessories for both units included, with or without charger and 4AH procore batteries. This would provide someone with the ideal sanding and finishing system. Could we investigate the idea of a geared rotary sander, like the GET50-125 or GET75-150 in a brushless / biturbo spec. The reason for this suggestion is that on sites where you need to surface prep or finish sand, you need a sander with a geared head for moments either where polishing or when flattening stock. I've used mains geared head machines for several applications and loved them, the first main application is flattening slabs / beams, 24g / 32g etc really makes a difference for the first stage, then 60g upwards to get the surface to a smoother finish, then going to glass like finishes without oil or sealer treatments in some aspects by burnishing using the geared head rather than random orbit, especially with a 1200g abrasive and then going random orbit at 1500g upwards to 2000g. If we could have a geared head dual action sander in a cordless form factor capable of sanding and polishing, it would eliminate the need to ask for a cordless dedicated polisher.

Thank you Mates! I‘m from Germany. You guys do a very good Job presenting Bosch-Tools!!! Not doubt! Very interesting and informing! And so sympathetic and competently!! I wish your German colleagues could do their streams like that. They mostly seem a bit clumsy and stressed. Keep on going! Love it!

Thank you. We only know how to be ourselves :) and that is a bunch of people that try to enjoy our time online chatting about the brand. Sometimes we miss speak or a few things don't go quite right ( as it is LIVE) but we try to be genuine. Obviously we really do support the Bosch brand and are passionate about things we do well but also understand where we need to do better. As long as you all keep enjoying and supporting the LIVE Streams we will keep making them!

@@BoschProfessionalUK Keep up the amazing work. It's you guys who are the driving force between developers, researchers, designers, supply chain and us users that keeps the flame burning bright. I've found over the years that there are some manufacturers who just produce tools, they don't get involved with the customers head on, they produce the odd video and that's it, they don't do as you're doing with us and those companies lose my interest and involvement rapidly. What makes Bosch Professional unique for me is the commitment to communicating as best you can with your end users. Your webinars / blogs make promoting your tools better. For me, the only challenge I face is lack of description of tools, that's why I prefer the hands on approach, tool in my hand to demo / review / assess. Purchasing equipment is a challenge online, doesn't matter what research you do, for me, I have to physically have it in my hand to ensure it's right for me. 9 times out of 10 with Bosch tools it's worked out great purchasing goods without review / hands on evaluation, but having had over 20 years with Bosch professional tools as a blind joiner, you're the only major tooling brand for power tools and accessories I'll ever recommend. You've got me out of some scrapes over the years and been a brand I'll always love, trust and have faith in. Keep up the amazing work. Please could you see my reply to one of the top comments I posted, I gave contact details you'll have to translate to the format to use for Lawrence to reach me to discuss what we'd glossed over a touch.

It's currently July 2024, 1 month shy of 2 years since this video was released. Still waiting for an 18v router in the US. I do have the 12v trim router though. Great tool.

One product I'm surprised hasn't been launched is an upgraded GHO18V, ideally brushless and a bit more professional. The current GHO18V can tackle a few things, but when you purchase it either with charger, batteries or just with the case, the accessories you need to get benefit from it, such as the dust bag, the parallel fence and rebate fence, you have to purchase them separately through suppliers. not exactly what should be a good setup. So, Could we please see a new 18V brushless or even biturbo planer with a twin spiral cutter block. For those who aren't sure about the spiral knife, the beauty of it compared to a straight knife is the finish it gives and control over the chip creation and ejection. If a twin knife spiral cutter head were to be produced, cutting efficiency would be greatly increased even when rebating and surface / edge planing at depths over 3mm. Having a cordless professional planer for joinery and surface preparation is critical. Makita's most recent 40v model has some impressive specifications, but, I'm a loyal Bosch Pro user and I've no desire for anything other. I'll openly say this and admit it. I am a blind cabinet maker and joiner, my work is by feel, my methods are tactile and also are linked with assistive technologies such as a speaking iphone / Mac, digital gauges which submit data to the speaking measurement setup, an ORCAM MyEye for reading print documentation to me, etc, the rest is marking out with scribing knives, tactile rules, etc but I can achieve what I want to with Bosch tools by my side. How can I get in touch with Laurence through Bosch?
@BoschProfessionalUK
@BoschProfessionalUK 2 года назад
Yes, it is true the GHO 18V-Li is as old as the 18V Li-ion system. As we mentioned it's performance can be achieved ( and a bit more ) using the 12 Planer as we discussed. So we agree it would be nice to see an upgrade. Brushless for sure. If and when we get any information we will be more than happy to share. In regards to Lawrence. I suggest private messaging us some contact details on one of our social channels and we can sort something out.

@@BoschProfessionalUK Cheers for the info on that. It would be a huge help to have a more powerful 82mm 18v planer ideally brushless. Surfacing materials is a large part of my working process but I don't have stationary equipment except the cordless table saw and mitre saw from you, so all my work is hand based. I used to have the GHO18V and loved it although I had to spend extra on extras which should have been part of the setup. Regarding Lawrence, I'm not on social media, just this, I've tried reaching out through bosch support emails to ask marketing to get hold of me, without any luck, so I've no other method. I've just emailed a contact of mine through Bosch to ask if that person could somehow relay a message, et's see. if not, please could one of you ask Lawrence to e mail me at lewis dot e dot alexander 2020 at gmail dot com to discuss what I'd asked. What's the status on the new GSA18V-28 recip saw, UK page shows this as coming soon. if you get chance, could you show this off or meition it in part 2 please? I have the compact recip and recip saws to me are a huge help, so the brushless version would upgrade / replace this model I have now.

At present, from what I understand of it, Bosch are looking at an expanded metal production system either brushless or biturbo. I don't know what's being planned, but I have suggested by email a few metal products including a biturbo TCT bench chop saw for shop and field use, as well as a few other things. All I can say is keep your eyes pealed, things are moving forward but it does take time. Product design isn't just a flash in the pan, it takes months, even years to get a product designed, prototyped, reviewed, product samples for review, then out on the shelves. I have every confidence with Bosch Professional. Just to make it clear, I'm not an official endorsee or bosch rep / partner, just a pro customer who's used Bosch gear for well over 20 years and continue to. Regarding nail / staple guns, as you've seen, the GNH18V64M was recently released, I can testify to it's performance and love it to bits, thank heavens, no gas, no headaches, no annoying smell and running costs are so much cheaper. The plan as I understand it is that Bosch are looking further in to the fastening systems for nails, the requests for a first fix nailer, etc are definitely getting stronger, even from me as someone in need of a 1st fix cordless in my setup. Keep your fingers crossed, there's a lot going on, so, let's encourage and support Bosch and the teams who innovate, develop and inspire us each day.

@@lewisalexander I have been using Bosch for 15 years and very please with their tools, quality, durability, performance as you rightly said. I have their BiTurbo GSB-18v-150C, that is brute power. BiTurbo Table Saw, Mitre Saw, Circular Saw and already placed order for a lot more of their cordless tools. I cannot wait to get that nailer you mentioned, looks a sweet tool.

Hey, Quite a list of product here We have and continue to launch more and more new Cordless tools each launch cycle and are filling in the gaps in our 18V portfolio. With ProCORE18V and BITURBO opening up the possibilities for us to develop tools we were not confident the traditional 18V system would power adequately. There are many products on the development road map that we cannot share information on yet for hopefully understandable reasons. What we try to do with these live streams is give you a preview on the tools we know for sure are coming. Happy to say I've seen some pipe fitment tools being developed for example... But its too sooner to say more. .... As well as a great looking range of different nailers to add to the new 2nd fix nailer. Keep your eyes peeled. When we know you'll know

Excellent presentation. I've been a Bosch user for the last 4 years and being based in North America excludes me from a few of your offerings, hopefully we get some of these. I'm specially interested in the 165mm Brushless circular saw and the 18V brushless jigsaws; nothing but brushed offerings here although I saw a Brushless GST-18V-50 D handle brushless jigsaw as coming soon. Pretty sure he's referring to the gks 18v 68gc. I love mine but the base plate is kinda mahoosive. Also when is the gks 18v 57 mk2 with guide base coming out. No sign of it anywhere yet?
@BoschProfessionalUK
@BoschProfessionalUK Год назад
Ah yes, the base plate size is likely due to the need to distribute the mass of the BITURBO motor across a larger surface area. However the base plate is removable in order to replace the part, however we wouldn't recommend replacing the base plate to anything other than the one provided with the machine. See the drawing of the product here: www.boschtoolservice.com/gb/en/boschprof/spareparts/cordless-circular-saw-gks-18v-68-gc-3601FB5100 As for the GKS 18V-57 2 with guide rail compatibility, you'll just have to keep an eye on our social channels or our 'New Tools' livestreams at the start of January, May and September. 👍
