Thanks Again For Having Us! A lot of hard work but a lot more fun! Also the farmhouse is amazing! Highly recommend anyone staying there, just to meet Daisy at the very least!
Cleetus is changing the game in racing events and matt is changing the game in party events hopefully they will be the forerunners for an amazing future
Even mark zuckerberg enjoys smoking deez meats. They shoulda had him plan that thing that dude planned on that island it went so bad everyone was waiting in line to pee crying because they couldnt go home it was like an island during ww2, you say it was borderline torture 5 porta potties for 10,000 people
Absolutely. She is equal parts mom, safety officer, cat herder, and interior designer. She's an absolute saint for tolerating these overgrown teenagers.
This, like those tiny wire christmas LED strings that run on solar panels. They're tiny enough that they're not visible unless you're really close, powerful enough to light up a yard on ... about 100 "bulbs" and they're all solar powered. I've had mine in the back yard for years now, can't be bothered to take them out cause they're good night lights. The only caveat to them, sh!tty batteries. Luckily they're just 3 AAA batteries, which can be swapped easily.
What an awesome day it was! Thanks for having all of the Demolitia out! The food was fantastic, drinks were awesome, and that Clay Hollis band was incredible! Can’t wait for more epic events at The Desperado!!!!!
I didn’t want this video to end! Way to go Ranch Crew! I hope it was a 1000% success, w/No Accidents! You could probably do this every week! Say Hi to the Family. Some of us Oldies miss them & are always wishing them well. Totally understand your boundaries. Love your excitement about this event!
It’s was great! My little girls had a blast playing in the river and enjoying the ice cream! Next time, work your magic and cool it down to 80😂 This event would be great in late spring or the fall too! Enjoyed it! Literally all the guests were courteous and kind. I got to stop by the Bunker for some merch (shout out to the young man working, he was so nice) visit black rifle cc, saw Apache Rifle works, and seeing the resort with my own eyes was surreal!!!!
This whole thing looks like it was a blast. Mikey made the awesome large cornhole game boards (Clint made the first score!), Daisy is a cutie pie, Jenna is showing Matt she doesn't have weak arms (Go Jenna!), and the field is filled with meats and good times. I see these events selling out every single time Matt hosts them in the future. He really undersells and over delivers.
Been keeping up with the ranch series since it started, crazy seeing everything come together! Going to be cool looking back on the growing pains once its finished and you've perfected the art of coordinating events.
If you need an event planner, I'm a Disabled Veteran and have nothing better to do with my time then see someone like you successfully make this Ranch the way you want it, and I'm more than willing to donate my time to you to help out. Please feel free to reach out to me, I have lots of Veteran contacts that would be willing to join and help out as well!
Great event! Loved the bbq - those ribs were outstanding. Minor feedback on the planning - you clearly didn't expect that many people to show up at the start, so prepare for that next time ;) Also you need more trashcans next time, especially for a food event.
Can't wait to go someday. I have ordered water by the pallet but I get from the bottler. It is cheaper and they will put your label on it. You can have even logos or just ranch logos.
Thanks to all the demo people for an awesome event. I got to meet everyone, including the diesel brothers when they brought the cuda!!! I can’t believe how friendly and generous they all were with their time. Nice talking to ya’ll.
Spray the sides of the ice trailer with water to cool it down faster.my uncle had same problem in Yuma one year when he was working a festival.he had to park it under a tent and spray it down cause the outside was very hot to touch.
Direct sunlight can be murder on any insulated units - if it is 110F (43C) in the shade could be to ~200F (93C) in the direct sun, massive difference in energy terms..
For the Freedom House sign, You should cut out a round wood background about 2" diameter bigger then the metal sign and paint in white as a background to make the sign stand out more.
Chili and Chill...Maybe you will have some camping areas done by then as well as fill up the AirB's so some people can stay another day after the event and relax.
Who else wishes they could be there tomorrow 😫 I’m an ocean away so no chance sadly, but hope Matt and crew and everyone attending, has a wonderful meaty time!
Man I should've went... That looks like it was a big WIN for the progress of the resort! Congrats Matt and EVERYONE who is adding to the Lore that is The Desperado Resort!
My birthday was August 3rd, I turned 16. Hoping when I get older if your still hosting events like this I can come out to one! Keep up the great work Matt!!
30:39 You just learned a massive secret about building a business that can maintain quality and customer service. You have to create a company that everyone feels a part of and is therefore invested in. You could even take advantage of your employees by doing this if you were a bad person. I've had it happen to me when I was younger. I made many sacrifices and worked like crazy for a company that took advantage of me because I felt connected to the company and wanted it to succeed. But treat your employees well of course. That will take you farther than taking advantage of them. That's a reason why Chick-fil-A is so successful, and why their structure works so well.
Awesome event but man it was HOT! The river was great to cool off. One suggestion, maybe online waivers instead of in person signing if that’s possible to help the flow in.
My exact thought! More people to scan tickets, and multiple food lines to speed up the waits! The heat was really the only bad thing! And that’s out of anyone’s control!
@@TxCassandraOoOo Why is everyone talking about the heat? August in South Texas is always hot but this year has more rain so better vegetation and a bit cooler. Plenty of 100+ degree temps in the past at this time of year. For an outdoor event, it’s better to be dry than pouring down rain.
Awesome job on coordinating your first/biggest event. Two things you may want to look into. Getting some misting fans to make a cool zone so people can cool down and buying some real innertubes for tubing the river. The survival rate for them is far beyond the kind you buy in the local store.
Another well anticipated and enjoyed video! Matt Carikker, you're awesome! Jenna, Mikey, Dad Carriker and all of you! I really enjoy following along, best wishes for continued successes!
Love the show, everything is bigger in texas.. consider having one golf cart set up for medical. just in case if you have not all ready set something up. local fire and resuce here does events for donations or a small fee. Best of luck to every one tomorrow..
New build for Matt at the festival site, solar panel covered area with slab, walk in cold room, walk in freezer room and prep/patio area, maybe use a small shipping container for the solar battery array & extra storage. 💪
You need to make sure that you are getting good airflow in a TCU. Otherwise, it doesn't matter if the trailer is in the sun, or if the trailer is well insulated, etc.
Hey Matt , you could use some short led strips( flexible ,sticky on the back of those signs on those rocks for the houses you just put up) with a small solar panel ...should be nice and easy...
The limestone rock is really coo, it looks like skulls writhing in the rock. Looks like everyone pulled together and this thing will go off swimmingly. Congrats!
About the "Freedom House" sign, wash the rock so it shows the off white it is, then paint the flag in the center of the sign, the star block in blue and the metal stripes in red. Then that sign would really stand out against the rock it's hung on. Just my two cents and I know you've already hung it and moved on but just maybe my idea is worth a revisit. The farmhouse is amazing I don't just want to visit and stay there, I want to own it. From abandoned and deteriorating to awesome and fun. Well done Matt and crew we all knew you had it in you to turn this run down old resort into something special , it just gets better and better. Take care and God Bless...
Matt old Texas BBQ were open pits. Remember there was no grills or moveable smokers back in the 1800s. Original smokers were built from Adobe and could cook a half of steer. That would be honestly awesome to see you build one for the main resort kitchen.
Had a GREAT TIME!!!!!! The BBQ provided by Al Frugoni was absolutely amazing, hands down the best I've ever eaten. The ice-cold beer provided by Ogle Brewery was excellent. The river was absolutely refreshing, sat in it all day!!!! Meat Fest was an absolute success if you ask me!!!! Can't wait until Meat Fest II !!!!!!
BYW, the supermarket donated all the food and we just had to take it through the checkout so that they could keep track of it. We also got all the food from our two local McDonalds! We were the only place on the mountain that had power and our eight walk-in refrigerators and freezers were packed!
Matt, From your famous friends in Beverly Hills, California.Amazing, as always. Have U seen the 4 1 hour-long videos that this other channel posted of the entire event that already happened ? This other dude only has about 2 million subscribers. But I feel bad that he got all the content out before Matt did. The event looked amazing on the other channel. Great job, Matt And team. Your famous friends from Beverly Hills, California.
recommend putting some reflectors on those rocks to draw attention to them and the signs for night time. i would also recommend you get some thick plastic washers to put between the signs and the rock to help keep them from rusting.
Born and raised San antonio moved to dallas 5 years ago. Been watching the channel since make shift slug days and this is an event i wish i could have made it too
I would just put that freedom sign close to the house on a garden Pole.Or something it's meant to see through. That's how it will really shine and then do something else on the boulder out front.
Matt, great events! We had fun. We had to leave early cuz it was too damn hot though, but I've been to 4 of 😮your events and there was always an update video a day or two before with crucial information. Well this one came out two days after with some information that would have been a big help and other than that great event. Just please make sure this update video is the day before at least not two days after. Had a good time though Matt. Thanks!
I sure wish I would have known there was ribs. Never saw any but apparently there was ribs. Damn it. I love ribs. Oh well I guess I'll get ribs at meat fest number two. But do meat fest too in April LOL
Good luck brother so excited to see you actually having events out there the people that are there helping you are not the only ones rooting for you shoot I've been watching you for a long time I actually found you because of vet ranch then started watching demolition ranch and off the ranch still here brother not going nowhere have a great time man 😎👍✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@VaporheadATCalso, I watch RU-vid at 1.5 speed. After watching the whole video, didn’t realize this video was ONLY about the set up and not the event itself…..
We have a refrigerated trailer that we use for hunting trips. It used to ice up the evaporator and then not cool efficiently so we installed a heat element on the evaporator so it would run a defrost cycle when the compressor shut off. End of problem
Glad to see the resort turning into your vision one event at a time. I can see this being a destination spot for so many communities outside of the 2A that got the ball rolling for you and your channels. One you put in an airfield and get Cleetus and other collabs involved, big potential in the coming years. You could host mountain biking, cross country or ultra runs and various other kind of racing easily.
It looks good. Your Farmhouse sign is missing an arrow! The signs would also work better if backed by a white board. Your portapotties ought to be split into 3 different locations.
