Our Birthing Experience, Getting Induced + Epidural Story Time

Had an epidural 3 times. Best 3 decisions of my life!

The epidural story was just hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 and I just gotta add also that Roice’s story telling skills are epic 😂😂😂

Love this!! I completely agree that it’s a personal choice on how you choose to give birth. I chose to do a natural birth at a birthing center. I am a nurse and don’t want to be a patient lol. But seriously, my natural experience was amazing. Yes it was painful but it wasn’t a bad experience by any means. I had a doula along with my midwife and they really made a difference. I love that we as women have choices! No matter how you choose to give birth, we as women are rock stars for birthing these babies!

I forgot the pain right after too lol had baby girl on the 13th of March. Contractions were very bearable but honeyyyyyy when my water broke, that’s when stuff got real for me lol I made it to the hospital at 630 and gave birth an hour later. I didn’t even have time to get my epidural. We’re new mommy’s Bianca!💖💖🥰 congratulations!!!

Love you 3! I have 4 grown children and 4 granddaughters, so I’m not a novice at childbirth, but I love your story so much! You’re a very cute couple and looking forward to seeing you 2 interacting when Jalen is awake. ❤️❤️❤️

I had a natural labor and birth only because I was scared of an epidural. (When I was 4 I had meningitis doctors use the same needle to pull the fluid for testing at least back then. I had back problems and remember screaming and crying because of the pain) I also have really really bad cramping pain during my period with a natural birth contractions didn't hurt till 8 than I began to shake and couldn't talk for myself anymore (my husband told me stop shaking before they think I'm on drugs) but at my baby shower I had guests write me notes on index cards and diapers (some biblical, inspirational, fun, encouraging etc. Small children made pictures.) So once the pain was out of control my mom and husband would read the notes I cried and laughed and felt so much love it gave me all the energy and courage I needed to put out my little guy. My grandparents, parents, husband and brother were in the room while I pushed out my son. At the hospital I gave birth to as long as it's natural you get to have as many people as you want in the room. The diapers that had notes were used during the middle of the night I took pics of everyone and it was made me laugh or smile while in pain up at 2am, 4am and 6am nursing, changing a diaper or playing with baby. Each experience is different beautiful I love hearing your story and seeing you guys little family. I wish you guys all the best in life and welcome to parenthood capture all the memories you can the 1st year goes by so fast.

It's perfect because he's a gamer and I'm a wavy curly (but omg the things that curlsmith gel does to my pineapple... It's glorious). Nothing is ever perfect, but if we get to have an experience like yours one day (a long time from now), it will be a greater gift than we could ever ask God to give us!

Beautiful story!!!!! I still had my unmedicated home birth with my first but I remember a point where I said to myself "I dont have to feel this pain!" and we prepped to go to the hospital . Didn't get it because I was 9cm when my midwife arrived and it was safest to stay at home. The pain disappeared actually once it was show time so that was nice. Regardless, if I'm induced with my second I will get an epidural. Induction is a whole other situation!!! Good for you to what you wanted and good for Royce for doing what you say!

I love hearing the full story, I had my first baby last March and I had a natural birth. I decided to not do epidural because I wanted to know I could and wanted to experience the whole thing. I was having contractions so strong my husband said I looked like I was trying to escape myself to get away from the pain lol but and I don't even remember the pain of pushing her out now, it really was like after I had her, all the trauma of labor and delivery disappeared. I am glad I went through it cuz I feel like if I ever had to go through it for some reason without medical help, then I could. It's beautiful to hear how supportive ur husband was during the labor and delivery. I could only have one person in the room with me because of covid so I of course chose my husband, and he was very encouraging as well.

I’m 35 wks with my third and I could not agree MORE with the epidural! I will definitely be getting one as well!

It's great that allow so many people can to be a part of the experience. I remember when the men used to have to wait outside the room and then get the news after the event was over. Plus, you were blessed because so many people now can't enjoy the birthing experience with family because of COVID.

Y’all are some of my favorite youtubers I love y’all energy together. I’m glad you were able to get an epidural when you wanted and had no complications. They really are magic when they work right. I had one with both of my girls but unfortunately the second time it caused spinal fluid to leak out and made such a horrible spinal migraine they I couldn’t hold my baby or sit up straight for almost a week. It was terrible. I didn’t get one with my son and even though it hurt sooooo bad I don’t regret it. The pain I got from the epidural messing up was way beyond any sort of contraction I ever had. And I was induced with all 3 kids with max pitocin. Usually it all works out but there is a reason you sign a form before they give you one. 😬 But either way all mamas are warriors giving life to our kids. ❤️

I had a natural birth but I did ask for the epidural. They checked me to see where I was and it turned out that I was 9 1/2 cm! So needless to say no time for an epidural for me. I got induced as well and my whole process took from 11am to 12:15am. It was such a wonderfully amazing experience!

❤️❤️❤️ I was inducted past my date and ended having an emergency c section. After the epidural I was ready to rest and the nurse all ran in places oxygen. The baby’s heart beat keep going down and there for the c section was needed. My second one I went into labor at 38 weeks and still had to have a c section since I didn’t dilate at all 0🤷🏽‍♀️

Everything just sou ded like it went smoothly and that's good especially since it was your first. So cute how Royce is so involved and helpful.

I also was induced, got an epidural, even when I said I wasn't. Glad i did because I ended with an emergency scary c section and because of the epidural I was able to hear my son's first cry😭💜 otherwise I would have been put under anesthesia. I had to take 3 of those pills and they put it directly in my hoohaa cuz they said it would work faster. And once it hit, IT HIT! They had to slow my contractions down too

I understand your disappointment at not having the experience you envisioned. With my first child I was induced on Wednesday morning, and delivered vaginally on Friday morning. With my second child, I went into labor naturally, and my water broke at home in the middle of the night on a Sunday. With this child I labored for 9 hours. She was presenting head down but face up, and there wasn't enough room for her to rotate to a face down position. So, I ended up having a C-section. Moral of the story..... expect the unexpected when having a baby.

I had three csection because I couldn’t do it naturally and I’m very happy I had a csection. Cause In Jamaica if u don’t go to a private hospital u can’t get an epidural and the contractions are so painful

I have 3 children. First child was natural, second child I had to have an epidural because my water had been broken for to long and my last child I might as well have had natural because 20 minutes after the epidural he was here.

Isn't the reason why people choose bot to get the epidural is because people who have it show to have back pains later on? One of my frnds got it for her 2and child and she's experiencing it. I have a weak back already so idk what to do when I do get pregnant and have a baby.
