Was vegan for 3 years… it really did a number on me. I did all the things… Medical Medium, Dr Morse, even studied under Morse in person. My adrenals shot, dark circles under eyes, no energy - I’m back to eating animal products. I’ve learned a lot so I’m not going to say it was all bad but now I’m trying to recover my health back. Going vegan really messed up my gut and now im sensitive to everything when before I never had issues. I think I over dosed on plants with lectins, oxalates, and phytic acid which tore up my gut lining and lead to my system getting poisoned. It wasn’t detox symptoms- it was getting sick symptoms that I kept ignoring. Live and learn 🙏🏼

i can relate to this SO SO much. i was vegan for 5 years, i was in deep, it was my identity. i tried every different kind of version of the diet, i kept trying to fix my health issues. veganism helped me in some ways, but after about 2 years, my health started declining but i refused to accept that it was the veganism. i kept trying and trying, and at some point- i had an embarrassing moment happen that made me truly question my diet. i was talking with 5 friends and i told them a story, and they awkwardly just go '... right, we were all there.' this story happened 2 weeks ago. i had forgotten who i was with 2 weeks previously. i felt so embarrassed at how bad my memory was. so i started thinking about how i used to have an amazing memory as a teen, why did it decline so horribly? how?? i had just concluded that i had a shitty memory, i had extreme brain fog because of my autoimmune disorder. i just sorta accepted it, that i grew older and lost my fantastic memory as a teen. but then it sorta hit me ... it started declining at 19, right as i began to go plant based. i went full vegan finally at 22. i struggled so much with this, but i decided i'd test my diet- i was going to do the most ex-vegan thing ever and eat an egg and see how i feel. at the time, i was so foggy, no memory, no energy. i would try an egg and see how i feel, just to prove that it's not my diet, right?! i waited until i was alone at home, i ate an egg, and when i woke up the next day, it was a night and day difference. i had NO brain fog, i was totally clear headed; i was FULL of energy, i could think. and then i started crying a lot. i was terrified to tell people i was no longer vegan so i decided that i owed no one a big announcement (i would talk about veganism sometimes but it was not a big thing on my socials, i wasn't any sort of influencer), and it took a few days until my family approached me asking if i'd like some beef dinner. i said yes. they weren't surprised (mother just said 'we need to eat everything!' to which i agreed upon) which was odd to me, but i later found out they had seen the egg shell, asked who made an egg, and realised it wasn't them lmao. so it had to have been me. i also only mentioned this to close friends in due time, but again, i have not made any big announcement. (although now i sorta want to haha.) i realised i was constantly nauseous before and adding in a low sugar goat yoghurt cured it. this has been so game changing for me, since it was like i was pretending i was okay when i was so so sick, and now that i'm eating a variety of foods instead of just veg and carbs, i can see just how sick i was. i'm so much happier not being vegan, and i understand that for others, it works beautifully. but for me, it made me more and more sick. i am now so happy that i can just look at food and go 'that looks good, i'd like some' instead of 'omg is it vegan? is it this? that?' etc. it's such a mental weight being lifted off, i love it. ALSO I LOVE EGGS AND SALMON!!! i wasn't a fish person before veganism, and honestly my mother made salmon and tilapia so often that i hated both, but when i came back to eating meat, salmon was something i tried and fell in love with.

This is one of the most informative going from vegan to not vegan videos I've ever seen. You were a vegan for many years, even all of your children, one of them since birth. You talk about everything! And every question that has come into my mind you have answered it. I love the beginning where you address the vegans, and you tell them not to comment on your videos. There is nothing that you haven't tried, you don't need to talk about your diet or what you're not doing Etc I see that alot In many people's videos. You always see someone in the comments asking about their diet, asking what they did wrong or what they didn't do. Thank you for the information. Vegans claim that non vegans hurt the planet and animals, but in fact, every side hurts animals in one way or another.

On top of having two kids and a lot of life situations that stressed you out I don’t hear any medical advice and there are you mentioning where are you went to the doctor several times did any tests to figure out what was going on besides, I ate some meat, and I felt better. The issue I have with people who don't eat meat who follow the "do no harm" rule is that they totally ignore the fact that life in general is full of trade offs. Marriage. Single life. Kids. No kids. Cat verse dog. No pets. Traveling. Living in X or Y city. Living in the suburbs or rural area. Attending university or not. Majoring in something more practical or not. If you truly want to "do no harm" then you literally have to either be dead or simply not exist. Just merely existing humans consume resources. Animals exist and they consume resources. There needs to be a balance - veganism, and its secular arguments, just doesn't factor in on balance. It's practically a diet made on man made morality and ethics.

Whole-plant foods have more than enough protein to meet our daily requirements, and eating too much protein is dangerous -- and what about the cholesterol, saturated fat, trans fat, inflammation-causing animal protein and bacterial endotoxins, bioaccumulation of pollutive chemicals? If you really felt you needed an abundance of protein, why not eat more tofu, or "fake meats" that include isolated proteins? Did you consider reaching out to a plant-based doctor for help?
@extropiantranshuman

how come you didn't eat stuff like rice protein? You can't get bloated from it - it's just protein, no fiber - and 80% too. To me, I can't eat eggs and salmon, because I get really sick from them, either throwing it up or getting diarrhea. If you eat the foods that don't make you bloat, then I don't see how you'd have issues.

Thank you!! My husband and I went through something similar - and we are not even vegan. My husband had been vegetarian for 10 years and in the beginning it was great for about two years, but then his health started declining more and more. He didn’t even take any supplements, because he hates it. He was fading and in the end couldn’t lose any weight. The body insisted on keeping all fats , even though he worked out for a year daily. I’ve never been really vegetarian, but I adapted to him in the past years so my meat consumption was nearly zero and sometimes I’ve not eaten meat or fish for many months. My health did not decline as much as my husbands, but it did too. Especially my gut made me major problems. Bloating, pain etc. Last week he had a download that he has to go back to fish and meat immediately. When I started to eat meat again past week, I felt the effect riggt away. My brain felt so clear and open, energetic and kind of complete. A feeling I haven’t had for a very long time. I am so grateful that my husband had this download and he listened to it! He is already coming back to life!!

I tried the fruitarian thing, the keto vegan thing, and so forth. Got a vertical juicer and tried a juice cleanse. Bought a Zojirushi rice maker and began to eat brown rice instead of white, and so forth. Eventually, my a1c capped out at 9.1 and they wanted me to start taking medicine. @@takeoffyourblinkers It seems you cannot read or bother to do more research than basic terminology. Vegetarian diets, include plant based diets. Also vegan is not a diet, it is a lifestyle. My friend's entire family is 100% plant based, they have children, have been plant based when they were in the womb, when they were born and are healthy. Non vegans be like vegans never go see a doctor and are constantly in denail about their health issues. Most vegans if anything because of all the fear mongering linked to being vegan, probably see a doctor, get their levels checked etc more than most. Slow deterioration on any diet is ridiculous. Usually when someone is eating something that say raises their blood pressure, cholesterol etc it will show in early blood tests, rather it is determined that is the reasoning for it or not is another story. If you lack nutritients (which is not just a non vegan thing...many people who even eat a balanced diet are lacking and some never realize it because they never go to the doctor) it will show up on blood tests. Rather or not someone has had a ill experience on plant based or living vegan(however most either follow a poor diet, are not well planned or refuse to supplement etc. Never saw a nutritionist in their life rather they were vegan or non vegan.) however in the RARE circumstances a well planned plant based diet was not healthy for you is not a reason to come on youtube and say you were dooped, it failed you so it must fail everybody else. I have nothing wrong with Green Witch Living sharing her video about being no longer vegan, what I do have an issue with is replyign to comments agreeing, egging it on. The same way vegans damage non veganism sometimes. Both parties are guilty of this. I do not tell non vegans they are destined to get heart diseases etc. If plant based works for you GREAT, if not and you tried absolutely everything, sadly rather vegans like it or not it is what it is and your health is important. If corp orating little meat/egg in your diet makes you feel better great but don't advertise it like it is some miracle cure for everyone.

Girl, you are amazing! I am listening to you and my heart squeezes, that much I feel your experience. I was vegan for 3.5 years but always supplemented with omegas 3 fish oil. So it's hard to say I was a complete vegan. I also did regular fastings and cleanses ad after 3 days of water fast a realized that I really want eggs and salmon. I have a community of about 5000 people on Instagram who I teach to be a healthy vegan, as a nutritionist. And I believed in this diet also. It was super hard to say that I eat innocent beings, they literally freaked out. I blocked so many negative aggressive people. But I feel so good now! No freaking insulin resistance, no constant bloating from a bunch of beans, I get full with just a piece of salmon or chicken and a salad. I wake up with pink skin and full of energy to go for a 6 am run. I feel like 15 again. Of course, considering the fact that I don't eat sugar, flour, dairy, and other trash.. But still, animal products (clean and organic) made my life better. I suffered from self guilt for participating in killing animals. ANd it's still hard. But I am a part of this planet and have to respect the need of this body that was given to me. You are an amazing, brave woman! Thank you for sharing this video with us, love you!

- it doesn't sound like you were truly vegan, as you could've done algae DHA. It's also in Ripple milk. Fish oil is unhealthy and bad for the environment and guess where it comes from? Algae! Just eat the source. Instead of eating fish, algae's the way to go. - water fasts aren't healthy. I wouldn't recommend it, as there's no need to do it if you're already a vegan - which is really clean. It's really sad to preach something to many people on instagram when you do something really unhealthy. - also why are you eating beans if they make you sick? Why not peas? I'm not here to hate - if you want to not be vegan, that's fine. I'm not going to make you feel bad about it - just to give perspective. It's ok to be wrong, but try to learn from it instead of associating it with your own identity and self, as then you take a hit to your own ego. Once you separate the two, then it's easier to learn. I'm glad you found something that works for you, but I really hope you try to understand where you went wrong and how to do better next time.

I just want to thank you for making this video. I have been vegetarian for 9 years. (Vegan here and there for some span of time) For the past couple months i have been craving fish. My boyfriend will be eating it and im like why doest that look and smell soo good. Why do I want to eat it? Lately with my health ive been feeling more bloated, im not seeing improvement at the gym anymore. I eat a lot of eggs being a vegetarian (i know some do not but i do) and you just made me realize the reason I feel soo good when I eat eggs and its because its the only thing that gives me sustainable energy. Two days ago i ate my first salmon and real meat product in 9 years (if you dont count eggs). I felt full for a long period of time and had no digestive issues. Today i ate salmon again for lunch. The taste got to me a but more today as i was thinking more (this is an animal) but i feel good! I think the mindset is going to be the hardest part to get over and i never considered going back to eating full on meat again but here I am... I just appreciate this video so much!

In my 18 years of dietary changes, I found that the book, "Eat Right 4 Your Bloodtype" helped me navigate what foods to eliminate, and even add in. I do have to stay away from gluten, corn and dairy. Kinesiology tests and Biofeedback were really good tools in identifying what foods did not do well for my body, as well as for each of my family members. Thanks for your video, I too along with my family was vegan for 6 years, just recently ended it 2 weeks ago, I was in denial the whole time thinking to myself it is no way a vegan diet can harm you, maybe I'm doing something wrong, first thing I noticed that made me question veganism was my mood and outlook on life, I had a shorter fuse and tended to be over emotional, I started developing anxiety and got to a point to where I started fearing things if that makes sense, couldn't seem to handle things that I could handle before going vegan, any day-to-day situation seemed to just overwhelm me more than ever, it even got to a point to where I was totally depressed and could barely move off the couch, it basically felt like life was out to get me, I started to lose motivation and started rapidly gaining weight, I didn't even feel like a man anymore, my kids were sick every other month whenever they would leave the house or go around their non-vegan friends, their stomachs were hurting and they had headaches all the time, I could go on all day but don't want to bloat the comment section, anyway my family and I never felt better, in my opinion I still think fruits and vegetables are amazing for the body but should only be used as medicinal/ supplemental purposes along with a well-balanced diet, anyway, I just thought I'd share my brief story, blessings to you all.

Thank you for this honest video. There are more of these kind of videos than you might realise. I love how you don't turn it into a confessional where you cry and feel guilty about your need to reincorporate animal products. Some RU-vid influencers have been very fawning and apologetic (maybe due to wanting to keep their followers which is sadly understandable in this current celebrity/influencer economy). Your genetics are your genetics and you can't fight that. What is important is the way that we work towards higher animal welfare standards and that we heal the soil, which is the most important resource that we are losing on the planet. Only via healthy soil and the right blend of animal and plant agriculture done in a regenerative way will we have a chance of mitigating and slowing the effects of what is already runaway climate change.

If you do a deep dive into what big agro does to the environment which is what the vegan/import diet COMMANDS you will see that it is wholly DESTRUCTIVE to ecosystems across the world & TOTALLY unsustainable. The Green movement is absolutely the opposite of sustainable. If you think logically when they have people BRAINWASHED into thinking life sustaining CO2 is a deadly toxin on a carbon based planet & that humans are also carbon based beings & the light bulb comes on that the "carbon footprints" they want to majorly reduce is humanity, that WE ARE those carbon 👣 & that NONE of the ones pushing veganism (globalists, the UN) LIVE the lives they inflict on others & you'll realize just how incidious the Green New Deal/veganism IS. Watch some Tony Heller videos to get the other side of the story - the truth about the 100 years of communist propaganda that these incidious attackers of the West have been pushing to convince us that WE are the reason the "world is on fire" using fearmongering & cherry picked info & highly manipulated graphs & data. They've BEEN wrong repeatedly for DECADES yet people still get guilted by shock videos of factory farming & horrible stuff put out by vegan pushers because they know full well we are compassionate people & those things will shock us into cowering & bending & being guilty for things we AREN'T doing - all while being more & more taxed for Green projects that just never seem to REPLACE God given fossil fuels & animal foods. Do yourself a favor. Break free of the Green guilt.

Maybe you never want to go back to veganism - I personally don't care. What I do care is that you don't turn away from it completely just because of a lack of understanding - as that's truly sad to me - it's limiting of options.

vegan oils are toxic and shouldn't be eaten, but that doesn't make the vegan diet in itself bad - just avoid oil. You have to realize that meat fats are unhealthy too - they all are in a way. Oil goes rancid pretty quickly if it's not processed, so it's really best to eat the source for peak freshness. Then you can avoid hexane too. However, it's ok to eat a little oil here and there. I do that and am fine.

Well obviously you should be eating natural plant oils (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, walnut oil) and not refined ones, but the entire fat is even better. I wasn't able to work, even think..., memory is so bad, learning new things almost impossible, i got irritaed for every little thing, sleeping was hard, i had no strength at all. Only a few days of red meat and eggs (organic, grass fed-outdoor, from my country, when i eat i also do a little ritual) and I already spot the difference and my joins aren't aching anymore and only in 3 days I went from 4 pills for neuropathy to one (!!!) and after so many years i don't have chronic pain for 3 days straight... really hope I can get rid of them in some time. Only 3 days and after almost 3 decades it is the first time I don't feel bloated and like my stomach has a rock in it...I also feel I am gaining some strength back - it is too early to say much more but it is definetely the way to go for me to try this new path experiencing so much good out of this, however the transition is really hard I cry all the time but i know it will pass so that soon i will be able to accept things differently with less hurt. Ecosystems in which numerous types of life forms - plant, animal, fungal, bacterial, etc., function together harmoniously and in balance. At the same time, I believe we should try to preserve the natural ecosystems which have been functioning this way for much longer. I hope and pray more of us not only wake up to this truth, but that we also do the work to build up these healthier systems.

Also meat eaters still need these so you can't really avoid it. The thing is which makes less damage. The great majority of grains we grow goes to animals we eat, people need way less than cows. Also pasture grown is not sustainable for the planet, we do not have the space for the current consumption of animal products. I will check the sources you mention og course

I’ve just become vegan again. I’ve researched and learned as much as I can. This is my third time trying. This time I’m Whole Foods plant based. I feel so much better than the first two times. This time I’m not going to use any processed foods, but some occasional oils and butters, no soy or gluten because I was super sick and exhausted. This time I have began with plant based whole foods that don’t create mucus because illnesses thrive in a mucus filled environment. Most of the time no animal products (ok, maybe fish sometimes), no bread, no dairy no processed food, no gluten, no soy (it’s the devil for me and I’ll be super sick). I was super sick eating meat worse than eating plants. I couldn’t walk without pain, I was super depressed, my allergies were out if control. I had brain fog, I couldn’t think. I was exhausted all the time. I was constipated constantly. After 1 week so many of my problems set away. I researched meat and couldn’t believe what’s in them. I found out that meat is pumped with medication and chemicals that they have not tested if it is safe for humans. Most of them cause cancer. Cattle farmers would live to try to discredit vegan diets because it would reduce their profits. But naturally the way food has been grown has existed since the beginning of time with manure. I believe that processed food is harmful to the planet. But I would rather be vegan than eat animals full of chemicals. Yes I agree that being vegan or vegetarian can make a person sick especially if done incorrectly and without adding some fats or protein because you will feel exhausted. But I found it depends on what we eat. I have a coworker who is plant based and eats processed food, is sick and doesn’t understand why. I have a friend who eats eggs sometimes and see the difference in her versus other vegetarians. This is my third time trying, but this time I’m 52 years old jumping out of bed feeling like a 20 year old. Some plants or the lack of fats will make a person sick or keep a person sick. I think I got it right this time. I will eat fish from time to time. I will eat oils sometimes too. Im listening to my body. I do understand what she is saying. You will feel good after having some of that food but I believe her and her family lacked some of what it needed. However, I will never again stop being vegan.

I hope this time it works well for you. Our family is thriving more than we ever have and all of my gluten, dairy and soy sensitivities of 10 years are gone. I had to heal my gut...which I did on the GAPS protocol which requires a lot of meat stock, cultured raw dairy and healthy animals fats etc. It's been a year and a half since we left veganism and all of my joint pain, brain fog, inflammation and other health ailments are gone. My children have filled out and are cognitively much better. Their dark circles gone. I'd suggest looking into the chemicals of plants. Carnivore MD goes into this a lot. Courtney Hunt, MD is a great resource as well. Everything in this world is tainted now because we live in a toxic world, but plants more than ever are absorbing everything that is in our soil, water and air and you are the filtration system. When you eat beef, they are the filtration system. Not saying veganism won't work for you, but it certainly wasn't good for our family.

@@indielanefarm I’m starting to question everything. I’m so happy for you and your family. I was barely mobile before becoming vegetarian. I was in pain everyday and all day. People who were carnivores say they feel better being vegan/vegetarian. People who were vegan/vegetarian are saying they feel better being a carnivore. I decided since this post to just be a Flexitarian. But if the soil is tainted and the animals are fed the vegetables that grow in the tainted soil, I can’t see how we can win either way. Something is really going on.

Came from the comments on a channel I follow called Bobby's Perspective, someone mentioned your channel there, and we've all been there. Was only 5 years vegan here, but there's lots of people in your boat. It's not easy, even a year later I once in a while think "oh God I'm eating an animal" but it truly is the way to go for health. Even ethically you kill less animals per year eating meat than you do eating plant based. I'm only a few minutes into the video, so I may edit this comment before the end. How do you figure you eat less animals? Cows, chickens, pigs are fed grains or grasses that are grown and harvested. Unless somehow farmed animals break the first law of thermodynamics, they have to be fed several pounds of grain or be on pasture with takes more land that growing crops for food.

But people who create stories about their health failing because they want to eat meat again are so right 💀. If you knew anything about nutrition you knew what you said is based on absolutely nothing. You either have ethics or you don’t creating this fantasy that you need to eat meat to make you feel better is nothing more than a fantasy. Your body need pigs as much as dogs that is not..

I’ve been WFPB for years...over 12 years on and off. A few years ago I was having fatigue and other issues and found out finally from a doctor that my ferritin was low...so I started eating some animal foods at that time instead of taking iron supplements...then went back to plantbased a few months later because I felt like it was the best way to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s, strokes etc as I get older...but recently again haven’t felt well, so I started eating a little chicken and eggs. My dilemma is I’m struggling with preventing diseases and illnesses eating animal foods. I e listened and respected the plantbased doctors for so long, I feel so confused!!! I don’t want high cholesterol, etc. How doyou become okay with eating animals foods and dealing with future health? Any advice?

She has eaten vegan with a lot of raw foods and those Purim powders and other green powders as food for many many years years. She takes herbs that are too strong for her on recommendations for cleansing by well meaning but poorly informed people, and has genuine orthorexia. Her cholesterol is high because her body is dysfunctional from eating too many nuts and seed oils, and starving herself, so an imbalance was formed. This particular case really sealed my understanding of this. There has been huge, incomprehensible brainwashing around this subject.

I agree that when I was not fully committed to being vegan and still dabbling in meat and dairy products and not focusing on nutrition, I also felt tired, bloated and overall not healthy. However when I fully committed to a vegan diet and focused on making sure I was having my vitamin D supplements, B12 supplements, and DHA algae supplements as well as getting plenty of plants fats (avocados and coconut cream are my faves:)) I’ve never felt better. Please don’t let a poorly researched vegan diet experience stop anyone from giving a plant-based diet a try. It is an amazing thing to bring peace to your plate.

I feel like you have to do what works for you. I always had ethical issues being an omnivore. I never liked the concept of eating meat, poultry or fish. My entire life, I had gut health issues to the point that I developed panic attacks at 21 years old out of fear of not being able to find a bathroom if I needed one. I am now 58 years old and have developed a variety of health issues related to being inactive and obese. To some extent, my emotional issues ruled my life and it all stemmed from never having reliable gut health. After being diagnosed recently with multiple early heart issues, I decided to address the issues with major lifestyle changes. I now walk everywhere for local errands and my diet is now vegan, low carb, low fat, low sugar and low sodium. I also always kept Kosher, which I still do and surprisingly, it's not as easy as I thought it would be because vegan dietary standards are not as strict as Kosher are. I was also put on a medication that was making my gut health worse so I discontinued it. I have adjusted to my vegan diet and my favorite thing about it is that I can eat as much as I want and I don't gain weight. I do feel physically better and I look forward to my exercise now rather than dreading it. Being vegan, so far, works for me. That might not always be the case but if it's not, I won't beat myself up about it. We just have to do the best we can.

I complete agree that you just have to do what’s best for you. I feel tremendously better on a vegan diet with my adrenal fatigue issues disappearing. My face inflammation is consistently gone. I do supplement with Vitamin A, which is something I had to do as a meat eater as well. Much of these discussions can relate to our genes (which I’m fascinated with and could talk about for hours!) My genetic predisposition confirms that a vegan diet works best for me (one example being my arachidonic acid levels build up much more quickly than most people, so my body becomes inflamed easily eating animal products). I realize my body is not like everyone else’s. I do feel passionate about the factory farming and environmental issues, but I see it as a bonus and feel lucky that my body does well with whole food veganism.

Ive heard of so many people that thrive on a vegan diet short term but long term, they start getting sick. I think it’s because the vegan diet is good for resetting your body but should only be done for that reason.
