Our favorite ❄snow❄ pushing machine | Kubota R630 Wheel Loader 

That exact machine is amazing for clearing out lots when paired with a 12 to 15 foot Arctic Sectional snow pusher.

One of the best videos I've seen on Kubota wheel loaders to date. You did a great job explaining the advantages and features of this machine. I just ordered a 2023 R640 with 10' Boss pusher box and I'm excited to see how it works.

I think a snow blade like a metal pless would be best for clearing a parking lot. You don't have to mess with all the adjustments that come with a bucket like this. You just go up and down and shift it left and right. I do love those smaller wheel loaders!!

Once you get used to the forward/reverse being on the joystick you'll love it. Your left hand never leaves the spinner knob and the right hand never leaves the joystick very efficient!

Love watching these video's with snow. Makes me a little jealous. Not something I get living in North Queensland Australia, it's currently summer and temp's are sitting around 32-34 C (approx 90 F) and 70-90% humidity every day, and only getting down to around 26-28 C (80F) at night. We need to travel around 24 Hours straight via car to get to anywhere that gets snow in winter. Love the video's, keep them up I have been following for a couple of years now and have got a lot of good, useful information from them. Thanks Neil and crew for all your efforts in producing them.

Really great piece of gear we used them in heavy duty commercial applications mining milling smelting great for clean up and great cab in heavy dust controls feel like a extension on you great video Neil I wish y'all were closer to me 👍👌

We’re starting to switch over to the mini wheel loaders its a bit of a learning curve for operators in confined spaces just cause they turn different compared to skidsteers but other then that have nothing bad to say about them love the lower maintenance

I definitely like the visibility of this vs a skid. But a tractor would have similar visibility and quite a bit cheaper I imagine?

Nice machine and always liked using a loader for pushing back the snow banks left by the wimpy little pickup plows. So Neal since you made the video a month back on buying tractors and attachments in 2021 have you learned anything more about this years supply. It was sad to see your empty BX storage area.

Sweet machine for sure. I still prefer to use a proper plow(with spring trip) mounted to my machine(that YOU sold me, Neil) for plowing snow. One thing you don’t want to encounter using a loader for snow removal is a raised manhole or storm drain. A loader bucket doesn’t “trip” like a snow plow does, and thus something’s likely to give. Aside from being launched over the steering wheel, you’re also looking at broken motor mounts. Seen it happen.

Man,. I wish I had one of those 50 some odd years ago, when I was plowing snow.

I run this loader in a nursery bulk material loading setting and I think the stability is pretty good however I find the loader to be slow. For kubota I find it odd usually kubota hydraulics are very good. I wish they made a machine that was bigger. We are unfortunately going to use a different brand because the r630 is becoming to small for our needs.

Does it have bucket ride control as an option?

I hate hate hate the horizontal forward reverse button compared to a vertical pattern like most loaders, I never could find a diff lock on the one I used either. Scooping a full yard of wet loam can be reeeeaaaaal bouncy even with using a smaller catpillar 1 yard bucket. Half door is a cool concept but poorly pulled off with the latch setup they have. Zippy little machine with a comically tight turn radius. Pallet and a half of pavers and you can do circles on 3 wheels... would love to own if on a farm or large yard just not the best for constant loading of trucks. Also very difficult to see when switching attachments. All that being said the little bit smaller kubota 520 wheel loader w/ backhoe would be my choice and a game changer for small landscape companies who plow and do removal in suburban/ city environment and can drive the machine a few miles as opposed to towing. The 520 would give you the lift capacity needed for bigger projects and would be a lot more nimble than a comparable tlb

Can you mount and power a blower to this unit? Snow is typically too deep to push with a blade

Nice machine. But for the price of a R630 I could pay someone to clean my driveway for the next 100 winters and still have money left over. :-)

I didn’t know Kubota made a wheel loader. How much for the one you’re running?

Do you know if the R640 will power a brush hog that requires 15GPM of flow without having to make the machine go fast (mph)? Is there a way to keep the machine stationary while reving it up to get the GPM's up while I drop the brush hog on saplings, etc? Or is the only way to get the GPM's up is to go fast in the machine which obviously isn't going to work for me.

my m7060 with 7 foot wide lucknow snow blower does a pretty good job here in Western NY, I'd like to get a plow for the front though. Nice machine Neil, what does something like that weigh?
