🍄 Vanlife Japan Ch 51: It’s-a me, Kiwi! (And Bear 😅)
See inside the Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and new Super Nintendo World areas, explore downtown Hollywood, and meet Spider-Man in Manhattan as we give you a tour of the amusement park and rides.
The New Super Mario Bros area of the theme park opened to the public in 2021, and this is our first time visiting (and with almost no crowds, too!). Identical themed areas are under construction in Universal Studios Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore, so this video shows a little of what to expect during your first visit to Super Mario Land Japan! Come and join us as we celebrate our birthdays in style with a little theme park date vlog!

It was fun to see you both get genuinely excited at certain things, so many little details that connected with fond memories of these worlds coming to life for each of you. The apartment Terry and I first lived in was very near Disneyland, so we always purchased Season Passes and exploited the rare simi-rainy days in Southern California to dash out between downpours to basically have the part to ourselves until the next front came through. We were often able to walk directly on major rides with no line, and the CMs would allow us to go again if nobody was waiting to get into a car. Your video evoked some fond memories of our early days together. We had so much fun taking full advantage of our pre-kid era. Happpy belated birthdays to you both! 🐨🤗

I want to go here so badly for the Harry Potter and full on dress up, mario land looks so good. Also I love your Yoshi impersonation… also always avoid peach, damn peach. Also just gives me flashbacks of the arcade and home

Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea series was the original book about a school of Wizardry - I highly recommend the series especially the first and second book

I have got a yoshi power up band so I would love to go there again soon with one of my Japanese mates too. We both would love to try out Monster hunter XR walk . cheers

I bet the experience is much cooler with the bands! I think we missed out on quite a lot because we didn’t have them 🥲. We also tried to get into the Monster Hunter bit but couldn’t 😩

I'm not into theme parks but this is one of the main theme parks I really want to go to. Definitely on my bucket list for when I'm finally able to visit Japan with my husband. It looks so cool and I love how realistic everything looks. Especially Mario Land. I think all of those interactive blocks didn't work for you guys cuz you need to buy a wristband that connects to an app on your phone. It lets you collect coins and things and there's a certain area of the park you can only get to and use with the wristband. I believe it's quite pricey though.

I quite like that the main focus isn’t on the rides themselves and more on the scenery. It was fun to just walk around! But we definitely weren’t prepared to pay any extra for wristbands.. it’s a shame that the interactive experience was so limited for people without them 😢

The food is surprisingly decent and it’s not all big rollercoasters either! It’s pricey but a lot of fun 😁

Wow a theme park with hardly any queues. This is only a dream where I am from. Its either completely closed because of covid or full of people with minimum 20 minutes waiting time for rides

We were incredibly lucky, especially considering the Nintendo World only opened last year! I imagine things will be very different when borders open again.

こんにちは！結構思っていたより人出は有りましたね！お二人とも、童心にかえって楽しんでおられて観てる私も楽しくなりました。こういう時節なのも有りますが、子供たちが大人になって親元離れてしまうとそういうﾃｰﾏﾊﾟｰｸ自体に行かなくなりますよね、でも、たまには大人がEnjoyしても良いと思います❗ ｽﾄﾚｽ解消ですね〜(笑)😀🤗👌👍

How realistic is the pub and foods in Harry Potter world compared to real world Britain?

The soup was a bit of a letdown, but the beef stew was delicious and pretty accurate in flavour! The chicken was more like something you might find in a pub than an actual roast chicken, but we were both really pleasantly surprised that both meals were worth the money! The pub seemed pretty genuine too ☺️

It's a tad bit more complex: To summarize, as of July 2018, NBCUniversal (NBCU), a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation (CMCSA) purchased Dreamworks Animation (DWA) for USD$3.8 billion. Through the deal with Warner Bros., a subsidiary of Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX), NBCU will retain commercial TV rights for all eight of the Harry Potter films, as well as both on-air and digital rights to properties of the Wizarding World offshoot. The deal will be in effect from July 2018 through April 2025. Or, something like that.

Universal studio film franchises seem to have taken a back seat to Marvel and DC in recent years. Glad to see Jurassic park showing signs of life recently but their Mummy and Dracula movies of the 2000s truly sucked

why do u have to wear mask still in japan and outside aswell.hasnt japan come to term with covid yep

Different countries have different ways of coping. There’s no rule or law that says people need to wear them here, but Japan has historically worn masks to prevent sickness and for things like hay fever, so it’s not so unusual to wear them unlike in the West. Some private venues ask customers to wear them, but I think it’s mostly as a personal precaution otherwise. We both feel safer wearing them and wear them to protect others around us too, especially as we travel from place to place!
