My wife will have reached 10K steps a day every day for six years in a row on June 6th. Three of those years were while we lived in Paris. That city should be on everyone’s bucket list.

Hey or Grüezii :) In Switzerland you can basically drink from any fountain. If it is not drinking water, it must be so marked with a small sign. Love from Zurich

Lucerne is was one of my favorite places to visit! The museum, the church, the lake, the alps. Ugh! So happy that you guys got to explore it.

It's late info but in switzerland they tell you, if the water is not intended for drinking/not safe (like in trains!). Public fountains usually do have drinking-quality. In theory even the lakes often do have drinking-quality.

In Switzerland you can drink water from any fountain, as long as it isn't explicitly written that it is not drinking water.

For drinking fountains, if it says NOTHING, you can drink it ! If you can't, it's gonna be written on it somewhere. So At 3:00, you can drink it for sure, with no problem at all. ;)

Water fountains: In general in switzerland it is save to drink water from all the fountains. (And also very delicious to be honest). If it is not save, there has to be a plaque mounted which states that the water is not drinking water.

I love how you're living your dreams, but I can't tell you how much I miss the PV videos! We go to PV every November and February and could live there the rest of the time vicariously through you! By the way, when you get to Glacier National Park item on your bucket list, look us up! We live in beautiful Kalispell, Montana just steps away from the park!

Greg and Hillary, The way the lughr hits the water is just beautiful; looks like an impressionistic painting. It's beatiful. Dosen't Tina Turner live around there? Your too young perhaps to know who she is. It's the place to shop for Manolo Blahnik Shoes! Actually, I don't know anything much about Switzerland but it is gorgeous! Thank you for taking us along. I had some kind of a step counter at one time, I was probably in my 60s, and I got 20 steps just taking my pantyhose down to go potty. When I was in my mid 70s I was trying to get in some steps and a woman in her 80s passed me and said she had just mowed her lawn and didn’t get her 10,000 steps so she was going on a 3 mile walk. I’ve never been able to get 10,000 steps, although I did ride my bicycle 3600 miles across the USA when I was 58 and have done as much as 120+ miles in one day many times.

I have never been to Switzerland but if you eventually make it to Andalucia, Spain, consider this: THE most beautiful sight my old eyes have ever seen was when I saw the sights of the city of Ronda. You should go there.

We did Zurich a couple years ago and all I remember is that it’s friggin expensive! It was beautiful, but overpriced. Watching your video of Lucerne, I just told my wife we need to go back and see Lucerne, maybe hit Lugano and cross into Italy.

Hi H&G!!! Actually you guys have been quite lucky; the last few days we have had quite nice weather here in Switzerland, even today the weather forecast was afternoon showers where I live (Baden, near Zurich), but we had just a passing thunderstorm and was nice again. it is not as warm yet. The warmest months here are July and August, sometimes the temp even reach 35 C (95f), but it’s rare, tho. Are u guys coming back to Zurich? Please let me know, I’d love to meet you!!!!

Hi H & G!!!! Actually you have very lucky with the weather here in Switzerland the last few days it has been sunny and pleasant, even today, the weather forecast for Baden where I live, near Zurich was showers in the afternoon, but we only had a passing thunderstorm, and the rest of the day was nice. Here in CH, usually the warmest months are July and August; sometimes the temp reaches 35C ( about 95f), but as you can imagine that seldom happens. Are you guys coming back to Zurich? Let me know. I’d love to meet you in person. Cheers !!

BTW; happy cinco de Mayo!! A loaded Margarita is in good order. If In Zurich, visit the Cartelll( that’s the joint’s name , no kidding!) Mexican Restaurant in Sihlporte 3 Zurich. I believe the owner is Mexican; the food and drinks are quite good and authentic, plus the location is quite nice; next to a waterway and in the City’s heart. Salud y que aprovechen!!

That is not the culture in Switzerland our cities reflect our culture. We are really calm and we like silence it may not be the funniest way to live but we are very happy. I would change our culture for nothing in the world

Technically, most cities in Europe are medieval, and even ancient. Zurich is 2000 years old! But man, if you guys like medieval cities…. Geez, there are so so so so many! Keep traveling in Europe!

I´ve been watching your last videos and I´ve watched you being amazed at the level of order, cleanliness and sophistication of the Swiss society and I couldnt help thinking about how the US used to be seen the same way decades ago by many other countries, today sadly we se how the US is turning into a 3rd world country, slowly but surely. We have taken our eyes off the ball, the really important things that really matter and we have embraced wokeism and progressivism. Unlike the US, Switzerland is still a much more conservative society by many standards.

Some of the best and most favorite places I've ever been are "3rd world" countries with beautiful people, beautiful culture, and awesome food!
