Paris, Moscow, New Yourk, everywhere is the same. Rammstein has done what their grandfathers could not do. Probably because they come with Love- their grandfathers did not. Have a look at Rammleid from Madison Square Garden to see Americans singing in German.

To be fair, a small part of France does speak German. But yeah, most were probably French speaking natives. But with the EU it is fairly easy for individuals to travel freely to other countries.

"Du has(s)t mich" is a german word game that could be translated at the same time to "You have / hate me". This is rounded up perfectly by the 2nd part of the chorus: "Willst Du bis der Tod Euch scheidet treu sein - Nein" -> "Will you be faithful till death do you part - No!"

It is a play on words. Du hast is ‘you have’ and du hasst is ‘you hate’. If you like this song try ‘Ich Will’ which is one of my favorites along with ‘Sonne’

The Scene, their Cloth etc. fits totally into this "Industrial Metal Theme", first time I saw them live, I got this vibe from the first 2 Alien movies. If you get to the Front Row in a Rammstein Concert you get a "I survived From Row Rammstein" Sticker. Fun tact, Till (the Singer), was on a shortlist to the 1980 OIympic's in Moscow.

Dude I saw them live right when this came out in like 1998. He was shooting flaming arrows from a giant bow and blowing shit up all over the place. It was a helluva show.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the head singer, Till Lindemann, is a licensed pyrotechnician and Flake, on keyboards, is a master with a Tesla coil which you see being used during the performance.

They have much MUCH more then German fans they are worldwide well known band I think they are since 1990s around..... Plus they can sing songs in every country they want especially in Europe and everyone will known words...... And as said concert was in Paris..... and French people to known whole lyrics of German band they really love them (you already picked up basics) And as we know from history Germans and French did not had most friendliest history during WW2

Rammstein Du Hast was popular because its the only song by them that was played especially on Spotify. The show was filmed in Paris I think there were 17k people there. Btw not sure if u guys know that Rammstein are from Berlin Germany.

This reaction made me look back at old videos of seeing Rammstein in concert. Being there was amazing!!! And I got video of the fireworks and the crowd going crazy. Still makes my heart so happy❤️❤️❤️ It was in Dallas, TX. Rammstein doesn’t tour a lot in the US ☹️

I was at that Dallas show, too- VERY close, like 4th row!!! It was INCREDIBLE!!! I drove from SA where I live. Have been fortunate enough to see them 4x here, the last being the recent 9/17/22 show,.covid-postponed for 2 yrs!!! It was PHENOMENAL!!! I felt bad for Dall and Hou fans that they didn't go to either this year but happy for ANYONE who got to see them this year or will next year 😃

The lyrics are a play on words. It can mean a couple of things. ‘You.’ ‘You have’ or ‘you hate.’ ‘Du hast’ is you have, and ‘du hasst’ is you hate. ‘You have me’ or ‘you hate me’ (du hast mich vs du hasst mich). Then it’s ‘you have asked me, and I said nothing.’ They put their verb from the past participle at the end, so they’re actually saying “you have me asked” (du hast mich gefragt und ich hab’ nichts gesagt.” The rest is pretty simple, except for a long time the female voice I didn’t realize was saying “ja” - yes. I just thought she was singing “Ah”. It makes more sense when I learned she was saying “yes” before he says “no” - nein. But my German is rusty and my hearing is bad at my age.

Correct!!! I was SO happy to even hear a "reactioneer" mention Ich Tu Dir Weh! It is such a bad ass song (like Waidmann's Heil 😉),.but so many are!!! It never fails, though...All first-timers (or most) have to somehow become "christened" w Du Hast. Don't get me wrong- great song, but I'm just a *wee* bit tired of it seemingly being the only or primary Ramm song that Americans recommend. I DO understand why this happens. I just think Du Hast listeners REALLY need to hear Ich Will, Engel, Ich Tu Der Wir, Angst, Deutschland. Just so many!!! #Rammsteinforever❤

The fire part, the pyrotechnics in this video, is most likely real. I was at their Quebec City show, 20 yards from the stage, and I could feel the scorching heat on my face every time the flames burst out.

I am half AustrianThe main lyric is "Do, you hate, you hate me" not "have" later when the sentence changes the Haste means "have" Will you have me (Marriage) tell Death. :)

Your translation is incorrect, this video was filmed in Paris not Germany. These are French people speaking in German! Like almost during WW2. The Keyboard player is on a Treadmill and the drummer is wearing Chainmail. Rammstein is known for its Pyros! Lead singer, Til Lindenmann is also a licensed Pyrotech Expert. Noticed that they are covered in gel. Gel protects the band from being burned. Reason for Til being licensed Pyrotech, there was an incident with some in the audience were burned from failed pyros in 1996. Til works with a crew of technicians make sure all pyros are safely designed. Fans of their shows can feel the heat from their pyros.

Rammstein has been around since 1992, Till Lindermann is a certified pyrotechnic which is why he puts it in all of his concerts. They have been selling out since 92!
