I think it’s worth turning off pet aging for a few days. Just long enough to finish off, because you put in the work! Then you can turn it back on, it will be fabulous having an elder Velvet around the Ranch teaching the foals to behave!
@deligracy I 100% agree, you’ve worked so hard. Or even because of the glitching idk if you could age him down I’m create a sim without losing skills? Then get your last medal and use an age up treat to have him be an elder again?
Please continue with this family! I'd love a season 2 of them but I also feel like Alpine has been forgotten so I wouldn't mind seeing more of them in the next season! I know it's a lot more filming and editing time but I LOVE the longer parts as well! I'd be happy to see that continue ❤
From the looks of it the only way to age down a horse is through CAS. Honestly I think it would be fine if ageing was turned off just until Velvet was able to compete and achieve Gold in the Championship. He deserves to retire a Champion! For a bit of story maybe Persephone was able to convert vitality nectar into vitality horse food to halt his aging for a little bit, or maybe Velvet got into the garden and chomped on a death flower. It feels like an oversight for the game to have age down treats for other pets and not horses, so I think it’s okay to make up your own version of it! Also big yes to a season 2 I’m really enjoying your horse ranch content!
Hi Deli, I would love to see the Taylor-Kyleson Family continue they're story. Whether that continues with the twins or Clover and Alpine. I do like the idea of the family staying together!
I think you should do a LP with Clover, Alpine & the cousins. I feel Clover & Alpine have been a little forgotten. Maybe clover realizes ranch life isn’t for her & can move back with Alpine & the cousins.
elizabeth is such a beautiful horse!! and i still cant believe how perfect velvet was from the beginning! its still the prettiest horse i've seen anyone play with
Just have to say, that last painting totally looks like a Sim riding a horse to me (very abstract obviously, haha!), so fitting! :) I'm fine with whatever you want to play, Deli, whatever will be fun for you to continue the story!
i would love to see more of clover and alpine and in general just more of this LP, maybe like a clover and alpine spinoff, getting out of their famous sisters' shadow haha and having families of their own!
Maybe you could encourage the ranch hand to follow their dream job? I think you should pause animal aging so you can get all the achievements with Velvet btw. She's such a pretty horse! I really think Clover is putting out main character energy. I think she should be the next focus and maybe her sisters can stay over occasionally. Would be cool to finally give all the women a nice cowgirl makeover. Hats and boots!❤
I'd love for Clover to move in with her cousins and take her horse along... maybe she was inspired by the ranch life but wants a family, so she opted for a smaller scale farm 😊
Great part! Loved it being this long! Thank You for all the hard work you put in to entertain us and, at times, mentally help us by letting us forget things for awhile. ❤
Canadian bacon also known as back bacon, comes from a different part of the animal than normal bacon. It looks and tastes more like ham than normal bacon. In Ontario back bacon is usually coated in cornmeal before being sliced, this is called peameal bacon.
Currently in the midst of lambing season at the moment, and yes they tend to isolate themselves from others and go under trees (sometimes with they wouldn't, makes it hard when we need to intervene)
This is random but you looked great in your vacation photos on insa! I would like to see Alpine’s life now, since we seen the three girls. The cousins happened so late I feel like us as viewers don't have a connection with them as much but it's nice to see them in the world, as is the three girls. It would be cool now to see the complete opposite, alpine in the city it would be perfect since you are building the city anyway,
How Now Brown Cow! I say that too! Had to look it up, couldn’t remember why :) “it’s a phrase used in elocution teaching to demonstrate rounded vowel sounds.” I guess we learned it as kids in school, looks like there’s a children’s book! 😅
If interested in the origin of the phrase, I Googled it for a previous comment I saw. It’s so different than what I imagined: Background: 'Brown cow' is an 18th century description for a barrel of beer. The saying probably originated as a way of calling for another round of drinks. An early example can be found in Scottish author Allan Ramsay's play The Gentle Shepherd (1725):
I’m going to have to make a list for my current family. It’s my first play through of a multi-generational family! (I get too sad about my kids growing up and sims dying lol) but there’s jsut too many things I want all the sims to do!
I definitely vote for a "season 2"! As for National Velvet, one of my fav' movies as a child; storyline follows Elizabeth Taylor playing a young girl who is obsessed with horses and dreams of having one. She befriends a horse called "(The) Pie" and a young boy, who shows astonishment at the jumping talent of the horse. Together they train the horse up to enter the Grand National. She has to pretend to be a boy, as its illegal for women to enter and race. Nothing tragic happens, per se, but she passes out after crossing the finish line and is disqualified after being discovered to being the opposite gender to what she was posing as. There's also a sequel called International Velvet, which follows Velvet's ... Niece, I think? Who befriends one of Pie's descendants, and competes in the Olympics.
Also known as peameal bacon or back bacon. It’s a bit different than traditional ham in taste and texture (: Technically it’s a cured and unsmoked lean boneless pork loin rolled in cornmeal. Canadians don’t actually call it Canadian bacon though. I think that’s an outside of Canada thing!
Again I’m so in love with your build. You inspire me so much. Your builds look so lived in, I love that! Also love the calming gameplay. ☺️ Thank you for this long episode.
So worth staying up till 12am QLD time just so I can get my fill of Delli happiness Love you Delli, you and James just make the sims a whole different experience for me you are awesome ✨❤️✨ Ps staid up so I could tell you how much you’ve helped me and most likely every other subscriber you have❤️ Thank you for being you Delli 🥰
Hi Deli! I would love either a sequel with a storyline that either continues this storyline, incorporates elements from it or even departs from it in favor of another story you’d like to tell. Of course, with Persephonē being my daughter’s name, I wouldn’t mind them staying involved into elderhood & passing. However, focus could shift to Clover & Alpine and any family they each would have with other Sims. I’m glad your “foul” got the Championship trait. Velvet is a stunning horse in his markings, too. Was kinda hoping offspring could be more varied than just mostly taking after the mommy horses. Btw, very happy Persephonē completed her aspiration in Nectar making. If you wanted (I don’t really know if gameplay is effected or not), you could give vitality nectar to Jasmine to bring her back (even briefly), to officially hand down the keepsake box. If it doesn’t impact anything, though, I don’t mind them letting her pass as was her time, naturally. Not sure what further aspirations Persephonē & Rose (once she’s also done with hers) would logically turn to next, but I’m sure you’ll think of something sensible (or crazy) to keep them busy. Have gotten so invested in this fam! 🥰
I think it would be super cute if you put the awards that each horse wins from the competitions and put them inside their stall or outside their stall to show each of their achievements that they have won like a little brag board for each horse 🥰 Love your videos!
in game settings you can turn animal aging off so you can do the compition over if you dont succeed. ive done that with my game becaues i dont like seeing my anmals die.
I would love to see more of the family. Mostly clover though because I feel like she’s kinda been in the background for a lot of it. It would be so cool to see where her story goes 💌
What I don't like about the small farmanimals is that they are both babies and adults at the same time... First you feed it with a bottle like a baby, and then you milk it...? That seems wierd to me, though I understand it's easier for the sims team to make them only one life state.
I loved this episode so much!! As for the future of the let’s play, now that Persephone has achieved her aspiration it would be really nice to see her settle down and maybe even have a baby, and maybe even for Clover to meet someone. Just an idea - but I’m excited to see how this let’s play goes in the future 💜💜 Much love!
Hey deli.....just wanna say I've loved this LP so so much ❤ the Ranch is beautiful.....I'd honestly like to see either Clover flourish in her own place have a little family of her own follow in her mom's footsteps painting or Alpine and the cousins story of him raising them ? 🤷♀️ 😊
if your wondering how to age up animals/sims down is you click on your keyboard control shift c then it will open the cheats menu and then you will type cas.fulleditmode then after when you have done that you shift click on a sim then you can change their trat’es and age and other stuff hope this helps
Also, Canadian bacon is cut from the loin, that’s why it’s round and leaner. Regular bacon comes from the belly and it’s fattier. There’s no maple syrup on Canadian bacon pizza lol 😂 unless the bacon is maple favour I guess…
Canadian bacon is a special kind of bacon. It doesn't come in strips and it is extremely thin. There is usually more meat on it than on regular bacon. A CB pizza is just Canadian bacon on a cheese pizza.
i think that once they complete their aspirations, you should make an entire new LP. I'd love to see a fresh new LP filled with family gameplay and DRAMA!! but believe what ever comes next, itll be amazing
1. If you get a golden hen/rooster I hope you give it a fez for DrGluon. 2. You are not wrong about dogs, studies show they can help ease anxiety and depression, they can also sense it. That’s why I believe our neighbours dog has become an escape artist and will find me if I am in our garden. He is a tiny cutie :)
They would have needed to add in functionality for that & I haven’t seen any indication that vets & things for cats & dogs were integrated with both Cottage Living animals or horses. It’s kinda sad bcuz there are definitely vets for Livestock as well as house pets. I haven’t tried it either, but I sadly don’t think it could work.
@@loraelstad8941 ya, I just thought it could work because it says pet age down treat and horses are pets and cows and chickens are considered farm animals, but I am 99% sure you right
You can participate in competitions even after Velvet's aged up! I had the same thing happen to me, took so long to bring all my horse's skills to lvl 10 he aged up, but the game let me participate regardless. Also, the ultimate horse championship is only on saturdays
Deli , we miss your LP! You mentioned in one of these LPS that maybe we should do sims 3 game play? YEEES! Funny as soon as horse ranch came out I switched back to sims 3 again for game play and enjoy it so much ! It would be cool to watch you do sims 3 videos.
you can extend the life by changing the normal age to longer temp, until you reach the desired outcome or Hold down the shift key and click on a household member. Select 'Modify in CAS' This will take you to the unlocked CAS menu where you can select the horse's age.
From Googling the origin of the brown cow phrase: Background: 'Brown cow' is an 18th century description for a barrel of beer. The saying probably originated as a way of calling for another round of drinks. An early example can be found in Scottish author Allan Ramsay's play The Gentle Shepherd (1725):
That’s funny how you want to get rid of your ranch hand 😂 I had one and decided to put him in create a sim to give him some winter weather and give him a family and a horse of his own. When I did that it took him out of being the ranch hand and he’s never been back. The game didn’t even place his family in this world. I had to go hunt for him. The game put him and his horse and family in the smallest place and no place for a horse. I moved them back to this world and fixed up a house for them. It was the same lot you were first in😂
as a Canadian Canadian pizza is NOT bacon with maple syrup lol. we call it Hawaiian pizza. its bacon and pineapple. ( I have had bacon with maple syrup, and it's good, but on pizza??)
My fiancé conveniently walked in on “I’m not going to kill the ranch hand just yet” and he’s like what are you watching?! His face when I said …a Sims video… 👀😂
Maybe with the ranch hand, fire them and then hire a new one immediately before the leave the lot. I had a ranch hand with mean trait who kept knocking over the bin so I fired them and hired a new one immediately and got a different ranch hand. Since then, they've changed naturally 4-5 times.
I felt the need to look up the origin of the phrase and it’s not at all what I thought. 😆 Per Google: Background: 'Brown cow' is an 18th century description for a barrel of beer. The saying probably originated as a way of calling for another round of drinks. An early example can be found in Scottish author Allan Ramsay's play The Gentle Shepherd (1725):
