You’re in my Mérida!! 😱😍 The thick walls of the colonial houses aren’t made out of concrete, but mampostería, the local traditional stone and mortar. You can see it in unfinished wall like outside along the pool, and many old buildings across the city. The finishing - especially in waterproof walls and floors, shower, pools - is often the traditional chukum, kind of a stucco that’s been used since the maya have moved to the area. There’s so much history in Mexico, down to its walls and tiles! 🤔🤗😍 🇲🇽

Personally, I like all the variety y'all offer on your channel! I never know what is next. Will they show up in a foreign country enlightening me on the local food and sights? Will they be traveling in their RV? Will they be renovating another RV? I am envious of your lives. You always bring something different to the table. Keep on doing that! Roof access is super common in Mexico. My grandmother had one and I remember visiting in summer and being amazed up there. They used to laundry up there and hang it. A lot of times water tanks are kept up there too. It’s a great use of space especially since roofs are flat in Mexico. Enjoy Merida! Hope you explore more of central Mexico! I recommend Guanajuato. ❤️🇲🇽

That staircase is positively dangerous with no handrail, so is that balcony, the balustrade is far too low and should have vertical rails not horizontal and no balustrade on the roof at all. Obviously no building regulations there for rental and Air BnB properties. I like the decoration though, that plunge pool is great for the instant wake up in the mornings.

Love the vibe going on. The pool temperature on the other hand had that same issue when my wife and I went down to Miami we stated in a house amd the pool was so cold but we couldn't resist going in which we did but dang was cold was laughing since I remember what it felt like as well.

Oooh that looks like fun, you know you are actually supposed to go "horizontal" in hammocks, the opposite way you think of - I didn't know until we went to buy one and the guy demonstrated it! Such a beautiful location!

@@Theendlessadventure we bought a hammock in Merida and used it to camp in fancy hotel gardens throughout the peninsula. Very cheap and with use of the pool and pool house with bathroom! Indeed you sleep in it diagonally giving you a horizontal position. I even had one family size in my home for a while and we slept in it together.

What a beautiful, little shotgun villa! They've done such a nice job with the furnishings and decor. How fun would it be to find a few Merida tiles to use as coasters in Clementine? Dollar stores have adhesive cork you could add to the backs. The row of colorful buildings, and the random rooftop access, remind me of Puerto Rico; and the Picasso Casa courtyard reminds me of your BnB in Bali. Nice digs 👌

What a beautiful place! I love Merida tiles, they're my fave. Funny you mentioned the Delightful Travellers, I couldn't remember how I found them - it must have been when you connected with them in the past. I'm so glad you're all traveling again! (I'm leaving tomorrow for my own 6-month post-retirement trip around the world!)

Gorgeous villa, and those tiles 😍!!! It reminds me of some unassuming little Victorian cottages here in Melbourne. They've been renovated to open up to a much larger space, but you wouldn't know it looking at them from the street! That pool looks so inviting I just want to be there right now with cocktails! 🍹🍸

Maybe the water is so cold because it's surrounded by greenery and concrete? It looks like the sun doesn't shine onto the water fully. Either way, that place is amazing! Merida is a beautiful city and the food is right up, or down, my alley!

Go to my home town, “Queretaro, in Mexico”, you will love the city, san miguel de allende, tequis (the route of cheese and wine), i recomend to go! I will start my motor home proyect soon, i learned alot of how to do it watching your videos!!

I think the pool doesn't get a chance to warm up cause it has those towering walls on its side blocking the sun out. Unless the sun is directly over top, it's gonna stay cold.

I’d be so excited if you guys would restore/renovate/remodel/restyle an argosy.. I’m seriously considering the same for a classic airstream motorhome. Clem is a wonderful lady but you need transportation options when traveling, Groceries/Sights it all is a bit easier in a small car or dirt bike. Check out ‘Ladi and Margaret’ they stow electric dirt bikes in their Van’s garage and it’s totally badass. I’m going for a garage/semi round seating/bed lift in the rear.
