@@Theendlessadventure Checkout Harvest Host, Boondockers Welcome for overnight stays. Many Walmarts don't allow overnight stays any longer. Also Cracker Barrels let RVs stay overnight.

This is so exciting! You worked so hard on the build, I’m so glad it was a successful test trip. I love the “oh, I didn’t see you there” moments to us/the camera as it makes me think of Mister Rogers. 😉 Regarding the mattress, if you tried it on a box spring or slat frame, it may seem more firm because it’s on a platform. Bummer. Mattresses are SO difficult to choose.

I almost died when I saw you holding that grey tank hose! Never do that without gloves even though it's not a Black Tank you just don't know what you're dumping, otherwise you did pretty great! Now the real fun and adventure can begin!

Yep. I saw raw meat being cooked. That means that you had to clean up and wash some of those germs into the gray tank.

You may want a bunk bed style bar or the train bed style straps that clip up like seat belts (which you could some actual seat belts from a junkyard to make them) on the side of your bed to keep you from accidentally rolling out!Add locks or switch to locking pop out handles for your cabinet doors. Magnets 🧲 hold them shut from swaying but won't hold them shut if something inside falls against them while your driving. Add a tablespoon or two of olive oil in your pee tank if you want to keep down odors, it floats on top of the water (pee) and traps the smell. 💥Important! If you are having a lot of play in your steering and having to adjust back and forth to keep going straight you need to get your steering box looked at! The gears/splines could be worn and have too large of a gap between them and/or have worn bearings and you could lose steering going down the road. Also check the flexible joints going from the steering column to the steering box as they could be worn and be an easy cheap fix! Great job on Clemintine, you should be proud of the old gal!

When something has its own wifi, usually means it's a hotspot that's connecting to a public network (I.E. Starbucks, your phones data, nearby cell tower, etc etc). So when in the woods without much connection it will not be very reliable. I suggest investing in a proper wifi set up, and also solar :D

You need an L shaped connector to keep your grey tank hooked into on-site sewer and it’s helpful to have some risers for your hose to keep it above the level of the sewer hook up. Also we keep a box of rubber gloves to do that. Non hookup sites are a lot cheaper if you are ok with just dumping at a dump station. Favorite apps are Campendium and I-exit for our rv. Good luck! It looks great!

I have been watching from the beginning of this renovation this is so great to finally see it finished and you enjoying your first night in it. My husband and i renovated a 1969 Travel trailer and it was so satisfying the first time we took it out knowing we did the work ourselves.

To keep the heat in from the cabin on a night and block anyone looking In from the front of the vehicle one of those thermal foil reflective screens would be great to reflect the heat to the rear. Just roll It up during the day..

Just noticed Clemitine has "wind wings"! That is so cool!! Also, you can purchase or diy pads for your pots and pans to keep them from being starched in transit. Research a pressure regulator for your city water hook up. It protects your RV plumbing

If you don’t already have it get some Happy Camper for your gray tank. It will help with the Oder. Also look into a track for your gray tank hose. It will help make sure what’s left in the hose doesn’t end up on you!!! Nothing but dawn down the sink! It will help break up any grease. Welcome to the camping family!!!!!!!!!

It really has been a long time coming. 😅 We actually first tried to buy an RV back in 2012 before we even thought about starting the channel! It took almost 10 years to get here, but it's finally all happening! So surreal. We couldn't be happier!

Love that you're on your way to RV life - so exciting after all the work you put into Clementine! One note for the dumping - always wear gloves! Assume there is other people's waste on and around the dumping tube! Also lots of accessories you can get to keep the tube angled down and having nice attachments. Good luck with the tweaks and additional packing! You'll always find something you forgot!

Great job with your rebuild. Your camper looks cozy. I wonder if you need a Wifi router in order for the phone and the projector to talk to each other. Of course, if you have one and its running, perhaps the projector is junk. Good luck with getting it resolved.

Congrats! There is a fitting you can add to the end of your sewer hose that will fit hands free in the sewer hookup. It's a short little elbow and clear so you can check water flow.

So for the dumping the grey tank with the hose you need the elbow for the hose. The hose connects to an elbow that screws into the sewer connect at the rv sites. Then you don’t have to hold it or have an accident that we won’t talk about. You guys did good for being rv newbs.

It was so nice to see you two enjoy the fruits of all that labour and the result is awesome. As a camper of many years: Make yourself an insulated curtain to the cockpit. It is not insulated and will therefore be quite cold in winter. Also, get yourself melanin dishes: They do not break and they weight less. Keep it up, you have made yourself a beautiful RV.

Love how it has worked out. Just add a one inch very soft cheap mattress topper to your too firm mattress….you will sink into it so you will not feel like you have lost space.

Grab a windshield cover from Camping World to cover your cab so people can’t see you through the front at night. If you can get a CO monitor that is mounted low between your bathroom and closet-CO sinks, not rises so your combo won’t likely alert you when you need it to. Have fun!!

Great work on the RV conversion! I bet you get a lot of shocked reactions from people entering the van for the first time! You just don't expect to see a modern chic studio apartment tucked inside of of '70's camper van! The large screen home projector theater is a brilliant idea! I just think the screen needs a little work to remove the ripples in it (perhaps add weights to the bottom). Fix the screen and projector problems and you will have an unparalleled camping experience. I think that this is the first time that I have seen Eric behind the wheel. I've only seen Allison driving.

Great job with the modernisation. One thing I noticed is there is nothing stopping you rolling out of bed and hitting the floor. Some of the sleeper trains have a net to stop you falling out of the top bunk. A friend modernising his canal boat had blackout curtains with magnetic strips keeping them on, however if Clementine is aluminium then that idea fails!

Great idea! They could get what people use for toddlers when you convert a crib to a bed 🛌...I remember one of those mesh things that had metal frame that slid under the mattress. They could make something or buy something and adapt it for their bed and space. Ah...memories of a cramped sleeping car from France to Italy carrying native French strangers who spoke no English including one pervy 60-something man who kept hitting on a just turned 17 year old me and was a bit creepy. I had the middle bunk with another above and it had metal bars along with a seat belt. The old man practically tucked me in and buckled the seat belt.

Congratulations on your first trip. I always use a going camping/shopping check list and a list to assure we are doing all the things to do before you leave the campground. There are several such lists on the internet.

Looks awesome! And yeah, the waste dump wasn't done optimally. Looks like you have an extension hose there, the "sewer" end should have an elbow and a fitting that either screws in or friction fits (like a big cork). Oh, and memory foam mattress topper!

Wow! If plates are the only thing you forgot, you're doing pretty good. Go to your app store and download a rv checklist that you can edit for your own needs. Use it religiously. Eric you need to put together a tool kit so you can maintain things on the road. When things break or stop working, it will always happen on a holiday or Sunday. Also maintain a stockpile of extra fuses, light bulbs (leds), fan belts, oil, antifreeze, fuel and oil filters, unique to your motorhome. Especially fuses. Just put a wifi ranger network and weboost in mine this summer. Should have done it sooner. Get a windshield cover for the outside, that way you can use the front space and no one can see in.

Don't forget to use a pressure regulator when hooking up to a water source! The water pressure from a residential tap can mess up your plumbing!
