DS truly had one of the best libraries of any Nintendo system ever. Great collection, you two! 12:17 NOT A LAYTON FAN?! I'm gonna change that!!!

I love the DS! When I was in the Army and deployed to Afghanistan, like 30-40 of us all bought the DS with Mario Kart and played it for hours when we had down time.

Those sealed and signed Pokémon games are extremely valuable.

I can't quite explain why but I really love these types of videos. It's nice to look back on the libraries and remember all the fun times I had with the games I've played and hearing things about the ones I haven't. Plus, it's like browsing a museum of box art :D

I can’t believe you we’re surprised that DS still worked. Nintendo products last forever. My N64 has taken a hard beating over the years and it still works great.

It's honestly incredible how big your collection is and yet im still like you're missing so many other banger games like TWEWY and all the ace attorneys and 999. goes to show how the DS has one of the greatest catalogues ever

I remember asking for personal trainer cooking in middle school and it started my love for learning how to cook/bake! my mom would let me choose a different recipe each week to make for family dinner and I loved learning about different recipes around the world

My favorite DS game is Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Peak of the franchise, really love the characters.

Tetris DS is worth a lot because: 1) its one of the best versions of Tetris released and 2) it had a somewhat limited print run (~2 million copies on a system that sold 150m units) which was a result of Nintendo losing the license for Tetris (if I remember correctly).

Cough cough, somehow I’m able to dive in and play Golden Sun Dark Dawn for my first time and I’m having so fun with this game. I missed out on this gem back in the days. We love the back stories that you guys have for each game. Keep it up!

AHHH FINALLY! Someone talks about Glory of Heracles! Such a hidden gem of an rpg, definitely worth a try if you are looking for a great story with gods

I remember the GameStop event with Yuji Hori for Dragon Quest VI! I tried to win the free trip for the signing on Nintendo's Twitter via a trivia contest, but was too slow to answer. So I ended up last minute driving up to that event and camped out there overnight. I was first in line for that signing. Since at the time Yuji Hori never really came out to the US, I wanted to show that he has a fanbase of Dragon Quest fans out in the US. So I made a cutout Slime poster and had everyone in line sign it and give it to Yuji Hori as a thank you from everyone in line.

I am the "someone who likes it out there" for Spirit Tracks. I am that man. *braces for impact*

Genuinely I think Nintendo need to return to a dual screen system. Either that or have a side order of this. Perhaps a streaming device, with some low onboard power for these retro titles? It's MADNESS to forgo all these great titles in the name of progress while simultaneously aggressively apposing any emulation. Nuts. (Kit didnt seem too impressed with The Great Layton series! ... Kit not into using his brain? )

If you didn't know, Picross 3D Round 2 and Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers got physical releases in Europe and (I Think) Japan on 3DS. Not sure exactly why, but if I had to guess it was because the games were released near the end of the system's life. Also speaking of Europe / Japan exclusives, Jam with The Band is amazing on DS, SUPER underrated, you need to play it.

Pretty sweet collection! You guys are missing my gateway DS game, however: Trauma Center: Under the Knife! Absolutely phenomenal visual novel/ surgery sim arcade puzzle game, and it launched a whole franchise on Nintendo in the late 00s and 2010s. As long as you're not too squeamish, I definitely recommend you give it a look.

That makes me feel good that both of you felt Castlevania:OoE is a challenging game. I never finished it but will try to finish the game someday.

This one was full of great hits! I loved seeing all the sealed games!!! I would love to see y’all’s Gameboy/GBA collection next!! I’d have to say my favorite DS title (outside of Pokémon) was probably Animal Crossing Wild World. Me and my mom cohabited town and we had so much fun taking turns playing every day. It was just part of the routine.

I think I would watch any collection video from you guys! Lol. Depending on how much you have maybe a combined Wii & Wii U video, or if you have too much then do it in separate videos. Outside of game collections, I would love to see any promotional materials you guys have collected over the years! Event badges, buttons, posters, whatever you have really I’m sure it would all be cool to see

I found my 3ds XL after moving three times over the course of 10+ years and it turned on and had full battery too! It was insane I love these handhelds so much

What a lovely video and collection!! The Wii/DS days are where my tastes as a gamer got defined so I look back on that era super fondly! My favorite DS games to this day are two cult classics: - Radiant Historia by Atlus. Developed by P-Studio after working on Personas 3 and 4, Radiant Historia is a fantasy RPG that evokes Chrono Trigger very directly by making time travel and branching choices a key feature of the story. The story is wonderful, with amazing music by the queen herself Yoko Shimomura, and the gameplay is top tier turn-based RPG, with a very fun mix of FFX's turn order and a unique 3x3 grid layout that let you pull off fun combos on enemies. Later got a 3DS rerelease: Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology. - 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (commonly referred to as just 999) by Chunsoft (now Spike Chunsoft). An adventure/puzzle game that places you on a sinking ship (no in-game time limit though to worry about though!) with 8 other people in a brutal Saw-like game, where your choices decide who lives and who dies. Can you make everyone get out alive? Featuring the best scenario and character writing I've ever seen to this day, this kicks off the Zero Escape series and I believe is its strongest entry. Available in a bundle with its first sequel as Zero Escape: The Nonary Games on PS4, Steam, and I believe now Xbox.

I recently resurrected my green DSi XL from the cellar and it still turned on. I think I had the same expression Krysta had 😂. And I recently bought Spirit Tracks and the other one. I really like the touch controls... but maybe it's because I played Tinkerbell to death and am very used to them. I really had fun. Do you also have a Game Boy collection?

A game I really enjoyed on DS was Mario Hoops 3 on 3 because you could do Final Fantasy characters vs Mario characters in a sports game.
