The gearbox + belt drives are amazing! It is what I like the most about my Priority 600. Ryan is a big reason I purchased one. I would have gone with the 600x but did not want to wait 6 months for the bike (supply chain delays).
In the times of the super short format, tiktok, reels, tweets... you release a 54 minutes video. And I enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks! Great music, appreciate the extra effort in the production. Was great to meet Laura! I send you hugs from Spain.
Yup. It's nice to watch long stretches of video and pause from time to time and continue again. You'll know there's something good to watch when you come back.
In my humble opinion , this is the best video you have published, so far….very well edited, commented, and with great music as background….snorkelling with whale sharks is amazing, all the wild life you have encountered in the desert environment was great of you to record it and share it. Look forward to seeing more of your inspired cinematography…..
I swore I wasn't going to get stuck into an hour video but the mix of trail footage, and practical info kept me tuned in to the end. Also enjoyed the couple aspect with the new girlfriend. Thanks for the effort to produce this.
Fantastic video, we really enjoyed it. Glad you took a relaxed approach to the ride and enjoyed some extra activities. The whales coming up to the boat were quite the sight.
12:35 take your camp stove and cup. Put a little water in the cup and heat it for just long enough to use as an iron. Critical problem solving goes a long way on bikepacking trips. Great video, great commentary!
One of the best bike tour videos I've seen. Young lady you are a trooper, it's apparent you two love what your doing. Inspired?.... I'm 67 years old and I'm thinking 2024....by Ebike!... good job on this production.
I couldn't help but notice Laura's bike, the Priority 600X. I love mine. Would you do an in depth video of accessories and upgrades you did to it and your impression of how it performed on this ride? Pros and cons, things you would do differently in regards to the 600X? This looks like a ride to die for. Tenacious tape and others like it from Gorilla and others......would these be a better option for air mattress repair? Overall, this video presentation was in the least, stunning, breathtaking! For now, living it vicariously, it is on my bucket list. Will definitely be watching again. Thanks for sharing!
Im trying to convince myself to bite the bullet and get a 600x. Never been bike packing but want to try. Im tired of the road cycling . Wish I could see and try a 600x for 5 mins just to get the feel. You wouldn't happen to be in AZ would you?
Alee, it was great to run into you and Laura on your Baja Divide trip just north of Ejido Erendira. I was the guy running out of water and trying to find a lost pannier bag. Thanks again for the water. Great to see the video of your full trip.
I am lost for words. Stunning trip, stunning landscape. I really do have the urge to cycle the Baja, I really do after watching this very informative video, thanks for taking me on your journey, so to speak.
What an incredible adventure, you did such a wonderful job of capturing it! Glad to see my name in the Patreon credits for the first time, hope it helps!
I have been living off my bicycle now for about 3 years or so. Your videos have helped me enjoy a better bike. But I would like to thank you, because your videos always remind me what a blessed privilege I am experiencing. Thank you & many more safe adventures.
I agree with everything that's been said, this video deserves 100x more views, the editing, the storytelling, music everything is so well made. Really makes me want to quit my job and just go on that kind of rides for a few months...
I'm an overeducated 83 y,o, LA resident who has been "virtual bike packing" about 2 years. What you did was beyond me 50 years ago. Your videos are inspiring.
Thanks for the video. Your video is the first time I've heard about the Divide. You did a wonderful job of documenting your ride and editing the video. Again, thanks for all of our hard work.
How do you like your 600x? Im trying to convince myself to get one. I have a road bike but looking to try BikePacking. Wish there was a way to see and try one for 5 mins. You don't live in AZ do you?
Fantastic video. This woman is amazing to bicycle the challenging Baja bicycle trail with this Kiwi; I think that a steady infusion of Haka gives New Zealanders their super strength and endurance. Epic scenery, great camping, challenging bicycle terrain.
It's incredible how much the landscape changes along your journey all the way from Patagonia. And what strikes me is how different it is from what I'm used to here in Europe.
I loved watching this video. Too many videos about long distance rides focus on superhuman endurance, on 'conquering' natural terrain. or can seem fraught with risks. Laura and Alee just projected enjoyment (all bar that five k of roadside landfill). The three days of riding and fourth day off scheduling was just made so such sense, it was candid and de-mystifying. Well done to both, and I am sure all your viewers will wish you many similarly happy trips together, as I do.
Excellent video, Alee and Laura! Looks like a phenomenal trip, and glad to see the Pinion gearbox did really well! For patching camping pads, I place a 1/2" permanent glue dot over the leak after fully drying it and reinflating the pad, and then place a 2x2" duct tape patch over the glue dot. This has worked well for me with most camping pads, and is easy and lightweight to carry while traveling. A couple feet of duct tape wraps nicely around the Sawyer Squeeze filter so you don't have to bring a whole roll, and the glue dots are sold as a roll in craft stores. Cheers!
You have a serious gift for crafting videos. Just wow. Also i've seen a landfill like that somewhere in northern peru, just incredible. Good on ya mate
WOW GUYS, As an Aussie based in the Philippines and an avid biker - that was the BEST bike trek video on the Baha Divide I've ever seen. How awesome ❤️. So much great tips and advice for us much less experienced bikers. I truely envy you both. Meaning Salamat (Tagalog) / Thank you. Cheers Jon from the Philippines
I'm sitting on a sunny Sunday morning having breakfast accompanied by my dog. The world is beginning to waken where I am. Watching this video was a joyful experience. Congratulations. 🙂
I always find something useful in your videos be it a tip or heads up on what to expect. Items used on such dry land was a bonus (especially the Evernew bag for sawyer - i hate the sawyer bladder lol) most of all... the vibe of your videos made me jump on the decision to start touring domestically in Malaysia since 2020. Now with few friends tagging along my journeys. Inspirational as always! kudos
A beautiful filmed, well edited and perfectly narrated adventure! So glad to see this kind of video artwork from you again. Missed it a bit. Thank you for sharing with us!
Thanks for a great watch. Thinking of avoiding the Winter here in Ireland and Mexico is on the list. Really enjoyed that and your little tips throughout are helpful, especially for me the bit at the end about the most sandy parts. Looked like a great adventure, with a wonderful mix and landscapes and them deep blues at times :O. all the best :)
In my opinion this is your best video yet. It worked great having the two of you together taking video, and the chemistry was excellent. Glad to see that you found a good drone, it really enhanced the connection. Also pleased with your choice of music. So many people play bizarre heavy metal or just strange incongruous music in their videos, your selections really set the right pace and mood. Of course, the route is spectacular! Well done!
Great video! How about showing more of the cultural activities such as where you stayed in towns and grocery shopping or any restaurants that you visited? These are some of the more memorable experiences I have had during touring.
I mean this as a compliment and respect for both you and Iohan Gueorguiev; but your video here and narration, and the scenery reminds me of his videos. I have seen most of yours and most all of his - some maybe 3 times - and you're doing a great job here. Best wishes and keep 'em coming. Regards
This was beautifully shot. The music choice, and overlay of diegetic sounds that you put in. And the tips were so well intertwined. Seriously reminded me why I’m subscribed to your channel. Amazing.
Thank you for the memories! I rode this with three friends in Jan/Feb 2022 and your video was a great representation of the beauty of Baja. So relaxing to revisit this ride (especially while I'm on a rest day during my next bike tour...in Tuscany! Quite different...). Excellent video. Thanks.
What a trip !! I lived in La Paz BCS MX...I have done Baja many times in 4x4 with sufboards and climbing gear..quite an acheivement on loaded Mtn. Bikes..Salud !!
I've followed along on your Instagram posts and I enjoyed watching this great adventure. Laura seems to have a great attitude and is a wonderful outgoing adventure partner. Using your water filter was a bit odd though. Hahaha! Another well done adventure. Thanks for sharing your time with us ✌
