When I married my wife, she was 20 and I was 25. We are married for 14 years now and together for 16 years altogether. We love each other so much and we are extremely happy. We also started in a flat with no furniture or anything and we have accomplished so much together. We have businesses and we have 2 amazing son's. My wife is also my best friend and my world. My little family is my life.

I'm sorry but it is sooo worth mentioning how he asked for her hand in marriage MONTHSSS before (he had a job offer) ANDDDD BEFORE they became from friends to something more. This is beautiful because (no shade) our world is lacking in this much premeditative thought. He didn't feel confident to propose until he had a job and locked down the blessing of a loving parent. This is such a great love story. I have been married for 50 years and my wife and I have been together for 54 years. We met when we were 15 years old. Her brother was my best friend and that is how I started dating her. Our families knew each other when I was five years old. We too grew up together since we were little kids. I hope you enjoy 50+ years together too. I love the story.

I got married at 19 and it worked for me at that time and I was married for 10 years. After watching this it made me remember my life with him and how we both valued our culture and families. This is such a beautiful love story and I didn’t expect you two to have known each other from childhood! One thing I want to say from a perspective of a single woman in exactly Sheena’s age but being born and raised in Europe: it is really precious to have your parents/ relatives involved in the process of searching for a life partner. I see it as a caring act and I wish my family could have helped with that, but that’s just not the way it’s done here. What happens in Europe is that not only we grow up not knowing who we are, but then also trying to figure out life on our own, also in the relationship field. Last autumn was our 30th anniversary and we’re still going strong. Sheena I was deeply moved when you told how Trid’s Mom immediately placed bangles on your arm, that was beautiful.
Great episode ❤. My favourite parts of this are: 1) José Melwani snubbing Mr Trid's Dad Melwani. I expected José to come back and turn up in another part of the story! 2) The prom picture. Trid looks very good there and Sheena so young and happy 3) Trid found the idea of being long-distance weighing on him. So he proposed, he didn't just try to get a job back home or some half- hearted idea like that. That's love and commitment. 4) Sheena fell first and refused to date anyone else. That's also love and commitment! All this and of course, with Trid's mums reaction, it could be a whole Bollywood movie.
Have watched this more than a couple times. It is so sweet and often I feel I was lead to your videos from a spiritual source - my perspective of course. Favorite parts: the relative connection, Sheena's future mother-in-law's acceptance through the sharing of bangles, seeing the sunrise together, that look into each other's eyes shown in the dance video and TRID's proposal (yes I have pants with coin pockets). What a beautiful, love story. You kind of made me tear up a little bit at the end talking about how beautiful and pure was your love when you were at your lowest state financially in your new apartment with no furniture. I realize this is no where nearly on the same level as their story but my mom was pregnant with me the same time my mother in law was pregnant with my husband and they both lived in so cal, in beach cities that were close. I always like to think they past each other while pregnant, said hi, or maybe briefly spoke while waiting in a waiting room, or something like that. I know it's dumb but I like to think we entered this world together and will leave together ❤

my hub and i met when he had just turned 18 i was 17, I moved and started at a new highschool mid second semester so was very awkward for me. i had crush on him but I didn't think he was interested so I dated the other guy that hung around us for lunch and stuff. thankfully that didn't work out, nor the following relationships or dating escapades lol. me at 19 him at 20 we reconected and were best friends till we became more then we just made each other our everything. we had a talk about it and committed ourselves to each other and now it been over 30 years together, I dont know our anniversary date either lol when I happens fluidly its hard to pin point so we say fall end of September some time hahaha. we watched this vid together, and adore watching your shorts and things, laughing talking and enjoying them together. thank you for sharing your lives and humour and yourselves with us all

The fact that you were both such amazing friends before and since!! My husband, John, and I were also young (I was 21 and he was 20 when we married.) Our older daughter exclaimed that we would kill her if she had done that! 😂🤣But it was right for us, and our love has only grown as we did. 43 years later, we are more in love than ever before ... with 2 beautiful daughters, 2 amazing sons-in-love, and grandkids to come!
