Hi Lina! So something I’ve learned from personal experience when I have similar situations is this: it’s important to remember that God is revealing that and showing you, not them. It’s great to get feedback from people in your life but at the same time there is something as ungodly council that comes from people who mean well. I’ve had a couple pastors lead me wrong before. I still trust in pastors over all but we must also be discerning for our own lives.

@@CesarandCheriseforJesus I appreciate that! Yes, it's people that I know mean well but sometimes God's plans don't look like something that makes sense so to them it may seem strange. And I learned to follow the peace, when I would listen to people I just couldn't find rest in my soul, and when I believed would God told me peace would come:)

I’ve been pondering, since listening to this, why did the purity ring that looked like an engagement ring, not turn Cesar away? Did God speak to him about it, or because God said that Cherise is his wife, he didn’t think about it? You guys mentioned that he noticed it and commented about it as “nice ring” but you didn’t say it’s a purity ring so how did that play out?

@@Jesscalmvision Hi Jess! I’ll let Cesar also answer but I wanted to give an answer too. I had the desire have this ring and knew that it would possibly confuse men (the wrong ones) but for the right man it wouldn’t. I don’t know how else to explain it but I had faith that if I followed my desire God would honor it and make it to where it would not stop me from meeting my first husband. Cesar and I got to know each other in the Bible study and at church so it was during that time he discovered I was single. Not sure how it came up but he knew I was single and I knew he was too. I’ll let him expand ☺️

@@Jesscalmvision yup like Cherise said I found out after we had been friends from Bible study that the ring was her Jesus ring as she called it lol. I began noticing Cherise during that time and started to develop feelings for her after that time. Don’t let fear steer you the wrong way to think that you scare off the right man. What God has for you is for you and if you are true to what you feel He has put in your heart to do He will then lead the right man to you and you won’t scare him off

@@CesarandCheriseforJesus thank you both for explaining a bit more. That is very encouraging. The ring that I wanted when talking to Jesus about purity rings is exactly like an engagement ring and there is a lot of meaning behind the cut, the style, the metal etc… all of it reflects things God has done in my heart this last year. I’m a “baby Christian” as I gave him my heart and life on Dec 28, 2020. But the growth available to me as I continue to surrender everything is unreal. I NEVER thought I’d even have a willingness to wait to have sex, the desire to wait, much less the commitment to do so, and now wanting a man who is waiting. My whole life is a testament to God’s goodness, grace, and mercy.
