I simply need for you to know my love and appreciation for the Cog Hill family. Oh how I look forward to your videos. Always tender or exciting news. Jason your editing skills (music) are phenomenal . You are definitely a Renaissance Man. The Cog Hill family is always in my prayers.❤️🙏🏼❤️
@@CogHillFarm And he is right, luv you guys to bits 😍, and to everyone who keeps talking aboutthe cows, stop talking, they know what they are doing, be safe
Jason to bridge the tomato harvest, before pulling up the vines pull the small sprouts that are growing on the tomato plants and root them. These will produce tomatoes quicker than the seeds. Just seen that on the no dig channel. It allows you to keep the genetics from hybrids going. Love all y’all are doing. Keep up one the master plan is complete it will be wonderful.
Thanks Jason for the plan layout. It will be great an each will have everything in one place. Did want to ask will you be moving the chickens also.or move them as you need to green grass..
Animals have an innate instinct about meal time. It takes only a few consistent days; also they see or hear the other animals coming to eat. Additionally, Jason & Brooke talked about assigning specific eating stations in specific animal's stalls, where they will be locked in their stalls Brooke has been to Stead Farm Sanctuary, when they visited, piçjed up Moe, visited again. Because they will be using the food area traiñg techniques. Jason trained Lorraine the pig & Jessie the mini donkey both in Only 2 days.
Is that too much area for the Bucks? > So long. They don't need that much space, do they? (Maybe, a couple of breeding areas... would be helpful) The Boys /Bucks will be....Soooo close to the Entrance to your property > The First thing you will See and Smell... Haha > pulling into the property. What about...some Flowering Shrubs / More Flowers 🌻 up close to the road / drive-way. (The row of trees is a great idea) Yes the Paddocks are Huge! > Some of that land could be used for so many other things. > Planting Crops / Berries / Apple Orchard....?
I can’t wait to see the transition with the animals. It will make Cog Hill look complete. I particularly like Mary Carl having her own little mini-kingdom. You certainly show your love to her and your animals in this master plan. God bless!
I love Mary Carl’s secret garden! One of my favorite children’s books as well ❤ y’all’s vision is awesome! Cannot wait to see it all come together ❤ I’m rooting for Moody and Mildred!!
"And if it doesn't work out, it's not the end of the world. We'll just put everybody back together like they are now". Such comforting words from Jason, the Mr Rogers of Cog Hill.
Good morning, love that Mary Carl has a favorite place outside. Jason you said it right she deserves to be a kid and enjoy her area outside! Many blessings to you and your family!🐓🐖🐄
Jason, I’m afraid you’re in major denial. Marycarl is not a kid anymore - she’s a teenager! I think you’re still remembering her when she was much younger. 😳
@nancyhelpinstill1834 we all like to think of our kids being little forever bcuz they were such happy times. But even a teenager needs her own little place on the farm. I know I did over 50 years ago.
WooHoo 🎉 I love it when a Cog Hill Farm video pops up. ❤️ Thank you Jason for the tour of the new pasture layout. I didn't think your animals could be more lucky but man-oh-man they have a huge suprise ahead. 👏🥰 We love your family farm and never miss a video or a Live Stream. Take care 🤗🌷💐🌻
Good morning Cog Hill and all of the Cog Squad. Thank you Jason for the layout of the paddocks. Y’all have really thought it out so well. It’s exciting to picture the animals already in those paddocks. Y’all be good.
Every kid needs a tree. I’m so glad you’re keeping MaryCarl’s tree available to her. I still think back to my time spent In Trees 60 yrs ago. Best fun ever.
Great idea about moving the bees. Especially with those terrific flower patches over there. You two are SO smart about placing your animals. Thanks for the video. I enjoy it with my breakfast. I do see you have lots of room for more animals!!
If you plant them very deeply, removing all but the top few leaves, in deep plastic pots. Before it gets too cold, move the planted pots to the high tower greenhouse; on the sunny side, far enough away from the outer wall to prevent cold damage. There are YT How-To videos on wintering over tomatoes. The are perennials, & with good seasonal care, will produce for years, whether you let them go dormant or continue to grow.
The female goats don't have any trees in their pasture. Nor did you Say any thing about trees or shade. When talking about the boy goats you talked about planting trees. Did I miss something. I know you are very busy. That you didn't say what you were planning ? I sorry to bring this up. You talked about trees and shade in every other pasture. Love your family God bless
@@georgiapetty8140 Girl Goat fence is along the back of their already Tree lines and at some point want to move them in with Nugget around the pond.. Yes the main part is open but they still have their Old buildings they can put in the pasture... The Male Goats don't have any trees but can come up in the Barn shed. and he says planting trees.. So I am sure they will get it All figured out.. Glad back Barn will have No Animals. .Next to the Moo Mansion
Perhaps an idea would be to take some arial shots of the ground, print them out & draw out where you want to put the fencing. It would greatly clarify for the viewers your plan & can be used for records on the initial setup. Your drive certainly clarified the size of these paddocks. How wonderful for you all! How exciting! TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
Merciful saints y'all what an undertaking you've got ahead fencing!! Wowza! You guys are the hardest working folks I've seen in a long time! MaryCarl is such a sweetie and will treasure forever her space!! The animals are blessed to be living on your farm!! God bless!!🙏💕🙏
What a transformation of this property from when you first layed eyes on it. Beautiful pasture designs and so happy you are saving MaryCarls special spot for her! Be careful and pace yourselves in putting up the fencing, I hope it all goes smoothly with the post machine! Thanks for taking us on the journey!🤗💖💖💖
A lot of thought has gone into this plan. It does sound perfect. I know this is big. Please take care of yourself. It's hard to believe you and Brooke can do this. This is a big project. Happy Day.
When fencing in clay soil: 1 Fence in winter. 2 Use the tractor post hole digger and dig all holes as far as you can get. 3 Throw a bucket of water in each hole and come back next week. 4 Repeat until all holes are deep enough. This method gets quicker once you get a few inches into the clay. Throw half a bucket of water into the hole before you start refilling and compacting.
You are so right what an UNDERTAKING and a HUMUNGOUS JOB! But you can do it. Just look at what you did before and up till now. You are a TEAM and WHAT A TEAM!!! I love watching your videos and when I have not seen anything for a day or so, I am worried. Just know ghat many people are living vicariously through you. You have a great many well wishers. L
This is going to be awesome you guys. Lots of room to roam for them all. Love that you are keeping Meri Karl special area. Goodluck with the pole driver. Sure hope it whips it all out fast. 34:21 💚
Wow, that is a HUGE undertaking in building the fences for the different pastures. God willing that tool you're waiting on will help in driving those posts in. All the animals will have such a huge area to move around in. I can't wait to see it all. I know it will be fantastic because you both are building it. God bless you and yours, love from Yuma, Arizona.
Love your videos. Have you ever thought about posting an illustration of your laying chickens and the corresponding colors of the eggs they lay on your farm stand? That might be fun and interesting to your buyers and maybe pics of all your animal friends. Thank you for sharing your farm life with us!
You guys have no idea the peace and sense of calmness your videos provide. When life is crazy and hectic, my thought is to sit a few minutes and catch up with Cog Hill. May God continue to bless y'all real good, so happy for all the exciting things happening for you guys!
Your animals will be happier than any other farm animals in the entire country because of your gorgeous land and your plans for that land. You treat each of your animals with dignity, respect and lots of love! Your land is beautiful and I’m excited to witness the transformation!
Fence it to make it a "secret garden." Maybe include some lights in the tree. Could be solar powered. It could even have a family picnic area or have a gazebo.
I think you should go with your idea of putting Mildred and Moody together. They are not typical cattle. If it doesn’t work you can always put them back into their own pasture. You have done such an amazing job with your farm. Your goal has always been to keep everyone healthy and healthy, both animal and human. That is why your farm is so successful. God bless all of you. 🥰👏
Good morning Cog Hill. It is good to see how you two planned out the pastures while incorporating what is best for all animals and people involved. It looks like you have considered everything. It is going to be fun watching the progress of this massive project.
I can't wait until you do the drone overview from the beginning of Cog40 to where you think the big things are done..haha. I can dream of you doing this.. haha❤❤
So much planning and consideration for all the babies! Of course so typical of Brooke and Jason! And fencing off MaryCarl's little bit of paradise - no doubt that will happen. Although she is a teenager MaryCarl will always be your baby. Taking care of so many babies is definitely a labor of love. Obviously Brooke and Jason have an abundance of love for everyone.
Appreciate so much the detail you put into this video ❤ Amazing But having said that I could also watch an hour video of just you petting the animals. If it’s Cog Hill, I know it’s going to be good. Not just quality, but with no drama, no chaos. Love it 💚
Maybe a name change is in order…….Cog Hill RANCH…..lololol. Your plan certainly takes advantage of your acreage and all of its attributes. I don’t know if it’s the camera, but it looks absolutely MASSIVE AND MAGNIFICENT! I’m not concerned about your plans. You love and adore all of your babies so much (feathered and fur alike) that I know whatever you decide it’s in the best interest of everyone. I’m excited to see a comparison of the new paddocks verses now. Everyone is gonna be dancing! Y’all have a truly joyful and blessed day!
Your precious family are such wonderful stewards of all those babies. 🙏🏽💓 Your videos make it all look easy but I know there is so much hard work and methodical planning that produces the amazing results. I cannot tell you how much I look forward to every video. Jason and Brooke . . . your pure hearts and joyful spirits are inspiring. Thank you for taking us along on the journey with you. I adore this Cog Hill Family and Farm. Blessings. 🙏🏽💓💐
You put a lot of thought into this. A lot of hard work but I can’t wait to see it finished and the animals in their new homes. Glad you are giving Marycarl her space. Awesome family.
Loved the tour. You made everything so much clearer. So the boy goats and girl goats at most will be able to see each other on opposite sides of the driveway to the barn but get no closer than that. Excellent plan. I never imagined the bovine pasture would be so huge. And I believe if you can move the bees closer to the road where those flowers are planted, that would be the perfect solution! Good luck with all of it!
I am so excited for Nugget. He us going to have lots of space to run. I miss seeing him run every morning like he did at the old place. Nugget is going to be so happy.
I love the layout plan! I also love Bovine Bungalo 🥰 Where Mildred and Moo Man can perform the Bovine Bugaloo - or watch Jason perform the Electric Slide 😊🤠🐮🐄
Good morning from Kansas City Missouri I just came in from watering my garden and now I’m going to sit down to my first cup of Cog Hill coffee! Tastes great!
The moooos will love being together in that big area, the feathers babies will love the pond and all that land.. The goats will be happy too… A lot of work fencing I feel for y’all . At the end tho y’all will have happy babies dancing for joy… Moving the bees next to the flowers is a good idea
There are different varieties of serviceberry trees that you might look into for the trees near the barn. The berries also make for good jams and jellies but the birds like them too. Just a suggestion. It’s a four season low maintenance tree.
Yes....Serviceberry! Shadbush, shadwood, shadblow, serviceberry, sarvisberry, sarvis, wild pear, juneberry, saskatoon, sugarplum, wild-plum, and chuckley pear are some other names given to this showy shrub. > Up here in Canada we call them > Sugarplums.
I so look forward to watching your videos. You have such a beautiful piece of property and you guys have made a wonderful place for your animals. What lucky animals. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning 🥰 Everything is going to be perfect! The animals will truly live it! The trees are going to be so beautiful,I can't wait to see them planted.
You could Freeze Dry those beautiful RED tomatoes (which looked so delicious to me) & sell them that way with a note on how to re-hydrate them. Just a thought Jason.
I understand people having concerns about the animals but I believe that you & Brooke have the animals best interest in mind and you 2 are the ones that take care of the animals, The ultimate goal is to make life simpler for you all and the animals. You have a lot invested in this project and I know that your going to do what is best no matter what. People giving suggestions is great but you both are the ones that need to make the final decision.
Hey y’all , that’s gonna be a huge undertaking of fencing for y’all , I pray it goes like clock work and no problems arise during the process !! I know the animals will enjoy all your doing for them , and I think z moody and Mildred will really enjoy being together and if another rescue cow comes up and y’all want to give it a home there will be plenty of room for them also , I know cows like having their own herd and thrive having that family together , much like goats are herd animals and want to be with other goats !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
@@NaNaTT549 so sorry I have visual problem and typing on my phone is hard for me I have trouble seeing very well & I don’t have a computer or iPad ! I meant rescue , I’m sorry !! God bless 🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
@@beckystone7994 Oh! ok, I don't know much about cows. So, I didn't know if there was a such thing as a reduce cow or not, that's why I was asking what it was, I just wanted to know what it was, that's all.
Not sure it ever occurred to a lot of us (me!), just how much W - O - R - K there is in fulfilling a dream. I think back over the last year and a half and it tires me mentally! So thankful that's behind you. Love and prayers.
Love the plans…. So I’m assuming that the pastures where all the animals are now will be for all the chickens and peacocks when all the pads are fenced and animals moved. Love seeing all the videos, can’t wait to watch the process. Have a blessed weekend ☺️🥰
I wish I had your knowledge Jason. That is why your animals are doing so well you know what you are doing. If you don't know you find out. Thanks for letting us in to your daily routine with the animals.
Having the barn will probably keep everyone (Furry & Feathered babies) safe from predators. I agree you won't know if Mildred & Moody will like being together if u don't try. But I think they will be happy 😊 Nugget will also be happy with her new Pad🛖😁. Heck everyone is going to think they are in Paradise Thanks to you & Brooke taking such good care of them & really caring & concerned for their happiness & comfort 🤗 Y'all are AWESOME animal parents 🐕🐈⬛🐈🫏🐄🐃🐖🐐🦃🐓🐣🦢🦆🪿🦚
