It’s a mazing how accustomed I’ve become to “automatically” receiving the newest weekly video from America’s favorite “pioneer spirit” family... Trusting all is well.
Again, Kinsey's laughter and sense of humor made me giggle while Spencer's kindness and patience made me smile. You two are so fun to watch! Congrats on the new container!
@@jeffkushen5586 Hahahaha! That's too funny! I don't think she sounds baked but even if she is, good on her and I'm jeallllly if so. HAHA! ;) It HAS been a wonderful journey. It fascinates the hell out of me how Spencer has figured out how to do EVERYTHING in this house with little experience. I guess RU-vid University is the place to learn everything. Hehe!
That was the shortest 12 minutes 🙃. I’m sitting here yelling, “nooooo!” I absolutely love watching this little family as they work together building their home. You make my heart smile and fill me with so much joy. Be well and keep safe. (Your baby girl IS her namesake.)
@@2lazy2bother hey! The couple are not professional engineers, not carpenters, plumbers, electricians, welders, so to speak a few...but through their determinations and efforts their workmanship and struggles are almost done and it's beautiful...so impressive, isn't it?
@@2lazy2bother This channel is not so much a "DIY & Look How Fast We Can Do This" channel - But more of a "Come along on our Journey" channel, and "Life Is Good" channel. So just relax. Enjoy the journey. Life is good.
Me and my little family wait every week for your videos and we watch them together. Haven’t seen this weeks video, hope and pray everything is ok. Please Lord watch over this family❤️ 🌸Aloha from Big Island Hawaii 🌸
You guys have inspired me and my wife to pretty much do the same as you both are doing. Thank God for inspiration from a moral based, valuable family such as you guy... Congrats on the container!
This is important for tiny homes in general.. Another huge problem we had was air quality and in the winter, condensation would form on the windows and drip onto the sills.. A wood burning stove and fan for the summer remedied these things. Vent everything to the outside and make sure to open your windows in the morning and at dusk for 20mins. This helps a lot! Air quality was an issue only when cooking.. however we have a 250sqft tiny... I mentioned before to maybe put some drop down ceiling fans in the high section.. especially when they have clockwise and counter clockwise options.. I have found running the fan in the correct direction for the season helps ALOT with heating and cooling costs. Especially in an energy efficient home..
They move to the middle of nowhere to escape the madness of city life and live more simply with nature. As important as a women's shelter is, it would ad so much stress and complication to their simple life with their child that it would defeat the entire reason for their tremendous effort.
@@ronlheureux7623 I think she ment she is going to build a women's shelter "of her own" next year some time, to the main comment poster. Good luck on your journey 🙏
Keep your eyes on the counter people... these guys are going to hit 1 million subscribers soon. So well deserved! From a random suggestion on my RU-vid page to a weekly experience I wouldn't miss. Greetings from the UK!
The only complaint i have is that your videos are to darn short! ;) Love what you guys do, and i love the way you guys do this together and that you are such good companions in the build. I screamed so load when that... thing.. came down so i actually think it was me waking the baby up! :D Thank you for sharing!
Just lifted my glass of gin and tonic when the snake fell now its all down my blouse and trousers .yes id poured myself a large one .its the waste i cannot take.
Amazing! Years ago you guys walked into a container to start this project and it was just you two. Now you guys have a solid home in the build and have made tremendous progress AND you have baby girl. The home is outstanding! Great work and I hate I work on the days you post and I wait to watch at home! Lol, best part of my week. I love your videos and seeing your progress!
And the Academy Award goes to MacKenzie for her best "make me jump" snake 🐍 falling from the rafters scream. 🤣😂🤣😂 🙋🏼♀️ Yes I'm the one person who believed it was a real snake or at least it was a real scream. 😱 Thanks for LOL guys! And Beau is growing up too fast 😢😍❤💝
@@BlackthorneChronicles I have been reminded of that everytime I see these vids.. I love what these two are doing, but the facts are that evergreen the business and Clinton are very sadly related, just ask the children. that comment may be seen as 'political" but the sad fact is the "children" but I love watching these vids it is llvely to watch and soothing.. seeing this lovely family..regards from New Zealand
me too. lol It flew by so fast it sure looked like a real one. I wish they would handle the snake issue before it's too late and some one gets bitten. Even if the snakes aren't venoms they still bite and that can not only be painful but get infected.
YES Kenz...I believed it, I literally dropped my phone and screamed. You are one brave girl. I would never ever set foot outdoors again for the rest of my life if I even saw ONE snake near my home. Kudos to you girl.
Just a suggestion: We have 6 containers and the first thing that is done, is to put 2' wide shelving along each side, 4ft from the floor, the whole length. The shelving is supported by using diagonal cables to the top edge corners, that way the floor has no legs and no interference.
I’m sad because the end came to quick😭 I could just sit and watch y’all all day!! But then I’d never get anything done LOL!! Your sweet baby did she really wake up after you screamed?? She so cute!! Yeah that snake scared me too!! I noticed the Bear has a cone on his neck what happened to him???? I hope he’s ok love him so much!! I need to get one of those containers for my storage!! That would give me so much needed space!! Well Love you guys stay safe and well💗💗🙏🙏 See y’all in a week geez that’s to long.. can you please either do this twice a week or make these longer please🥰🥰🥰
I've just spent the last few weeks of lunch breaks binge watching your entire story from beginning to end. What you have accomplished so far is nothing short of amazing! I'm so impressed by your commitment to the project, and the way you just 'figure it out' as you go. Amazing. Spenser, I recognize a perfectionist when I see one, so I've got to say I'm most impressed by your attention to detail. Where other people would be fine with letting things like wonky window frames go, you rip it all apart and fix it. All I could do was smile. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey with you, and thank you so much for sharing it with us. And no offense, but I think I love Bear the most. 😁
The wild hogs are a definite problem. They may take care of a few snakes but they'll also run off native wildlife, dig up the ground destroying whatever is growing and can be deadly to pets.
@@rdph6693 Hopefully when Spenser has time, a little hunting to stock the freezer for the coming winter. There are enough hogs to start a side business.
I'd be so afraid of living in the middle of nowhere in worse case scenario. Stay safe "EVERGREEN " should pay you for advertising " there shipping containers
Oh Spencer you are making me nervous with all the roof penetrations. The potential for a leak increases greatly with every hole you cut and those darn steel roofs are so hard to waterproof. Good job climbing up that wall by the way.
I am concerned that a good bit of those containers' torsional strength and rigidity must be lost with every additional hole punched in the skin. I would think that strengthening additional steel either as brace of angle iron within the hole or additional roof sheathing surrounding each hole would be indicated. Any structural engineers have an opinion. Particularly in tornado alley in Texas with no storm shelter so far, I would want all the strength I could depend on in my dwelling!
@@FD-E-St-Fire I'm a general contractor and while silicone sealant has its place I would not use it as my first line of defense against the weather. Sun and temperature change and time degrade every sealant. By the time anybody discovers a leak in the roof its already caused hundreds of dollars in damage.
@@PEI_Guy I installed a metal roof on my house last Fall. Menards included silicone caulk with the flashing kit for the skylight. Also, the instructions for the boot flashing around the sewer vent pipe said to use silicone caulk. Is there a more durable caulk to use with metal roofing?
I raised one daughter and one son and have two granddaughters. My newest one is under one year old. You are not wrong about their little girl. She's a peach.
One day soon, when you are 40, you'll be sitting there looking out having a conversation about how it seems like yesterday that all of this work was being done. You two will look at each other and laugh and say, 'man, we are old!' 🥰
I tell you what, when the exit music started I was yelling at my computer, NOOOOO it can't be over already! I need more! Lovely seeing all of you. Why does Bear have an E collar on?
@@eddiewatson3759 Nah, the house seems really close to being finished. The only way this could go on is if they 1) do another project, 2) they keep upgrading the house 3) they do normal vlogs
Michelle Reyes yes, me too. But I want to see Beau grow up, graduate from high school, college, marry and have grandchildren. This is one of my favorite couples and wait each week for their posts. They are building a beautiful home.
I love the chemistry between you two! Always a joy to watch your work. Great camera work as well. Beau is growing so fast! She will be tearing around the house in no time!
Thank you for letting us see your journey, it’s been very interesting. Love watching your baby grow , so sweet! I’m excited to see what you do with the new container. You could build a wall in the middle and put both doors on one side for two separate spaces. You could also skip the wall and just put like a double sliding door in the middle for better access;)
We have 6 containers and the first thing that is done, is to put 2' wide shelving along each side, 4ft from the floor, the whole length. The shelving is supported by using diagonal cables to the top edge corners, that way the floor has no legs and no interference. Is there a better way, prove me wrong, lol.
IKR and Spencer could not be more convincing with his "Uhh yeah umm hmm" LOL very little enthusiasm but funny as can be...Spencer is a crack up but he does not know it....tee hee
It’s pretty cool to see shipping containers being built into homes, I’ve hauled many everygreen containers out of sealand port out of Longbeach Ca years ago. And what you guys have done with yours is pretty cool as well. Thanks Chuck
I love your family too much! Look for snakes and spiders! I love when I hear the baby talk. Everything is looking so beautiful and I just love how you two have fun together! Sending a basket full of ENERGY and LOVE!
You guys should make longer videos. And the baby how sweet and adorable she's gotten and so big the last time we seen her. Make your home a festive Wonderful CHRISTMAS for the 2020 season. Because it might not be finish by then. LIVE IN NOW. God Bless Y'all.
15 minutes videos are enough, so you dont take all your time as if watching a sitcom. You can have more time to check out other things. Anything after 15 minutes, I wanna fast forward and see the end.
@@debbierabe1756 MayBE 15 minutes is enough for you. And that's your opinion. Not for ME. I'm sure a lot more people who watch the channel would like to watch more than fifteen minutes. There too short.
4:56 The stuff packed away for 2 yrs begs the question, "Since I've gotten by without it for this long, do I really need it?". I found a vid on here that talked about Tool, Treasure, or Trash. It's another take KonMari method but it stuck with me better. This is a struggle I have. 😕
Absolutely insane that I've been watching you for 2.5 years .. You had 33k subscribers at the time.. Now darn near a million.. HOLY COW!! Well y'all are an extremely amazing couple! I started watching cause this was my dream. Now I'm like nope.. I'll just live through y'all!!
You have come a long way. Containers are great for storage. I worked for a company that made 6 storage units in every 40 ft. Container. Some 2 bays, some full 40 ' units. Made a two story storage company with stairs and walkways. It was pretty big when we were done. It is stink and hot working on them. Reflooring is a nightmare.
We use Telephone poles cut in half under ours. About 4, making 8, four on each side. When the container was delivered we had the poles at the time of delivery and were able to place the container on the poles. This was one is able to move the container if and when one wants to. The container rolls on the poles and you can move the back ones to the front as you move/roll the container to the new location and the container is kept off the ground also.
I was thinking about this too. Wild boar can be very dangerous, however it looks like they have an unlimited supply of pork, just need a good rifle or bow.
Can I just say, I’ve never watched any RU-vid series show in my life, but I did it! I watched the entire videos in 2 days! I BINGED!!! Haha! I enjoyed every single episode! I’m a handy woman, and that’s probably what gravitated me to watch you guys through this ongoing journey! Kudos and i can’t wait for more videos to come!!! The house looks AMAZING!!!💚👊🏼😍
SPENCER, mate this is the second video that the camera focused on your ring finger It looks like it won't be to long before it needs to be CUT OFF Remove it now and consider getting it resized, rather than having the hassle of it being cut off. The house is looking brilliant Well done (: Tony from Western Australia
