We are so excited to finally know what we are having! It truly does make it feel more real and we feel connected to the future of this sweet baby! I do think, Lord willing, on a future pregnancy we will wait till birth to find out but this was so special! Speaking of special, let's jump into a quick description devotional that I hope will encourage you!
Did you know that God feels the same way about you, that we feel about this baby? And even more so! God has such a strong, unwavering, unconditional love for you that literally blows any cheap substitute out of the water...the issue is our perceived value of God's love. You see, we can get so caught up in adding value to things of the world, that we have to earn & that we believe make us feel better and then we devalue the love that God freely gives us. I have a point, so stick with me on this... When you see children or a baby... are they worried about having the nicest bottle? Or 100129721 Friends? Or a six figure paying job? No. They just want their mom and dad. (and sometimes that necklace that they can't seem to take their eyes off of lol). Well what happened to us when we replaced our undying love and desire for our parents or aka our Heavenly Father and started just pursuing things of the world that can never offer us the love and acceptance that God does? Let's do our best to recover that child like faith in God, and find wholeness in Him!

My son’s name is Shiloh. It means “Peaceful, Tranquil and God’s Gift”. And let me tell you, my son perfectly fits his name. He is so sweet, gentle, and loving. We are having a baby girl in October and her name will be Raya which means “Friend” in Hebrew. She will definitely be our son’s little best friend.

As soon as I saw that y'all are having a sweet little baby boy, I thought of the name Judah, meaning "praise" or "praised." Your dear son is already bringing the Lord so much praise and both of you are lifting him up through the Holy Spirit so beautifully. He is a miracle from God; he has already been hand-crafted and knit together to bring glory and praise in His Name. This baby is a wonderful blessing and the Lord is worthy of so much praise!! Much love to you both!! (ps - my brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first child who will be born in a month!! This is my first niece/nephew, my parents first grandchild, and my grandmother's first great-grandchild and the Lord has been so good. It's been amazing to see you preparing for parenthood while watching two of my best friends doing the same thing alongside you

Ahhh so sweet!!🥺I just want to say you guys have been such a sweet example to me of loving and praying over your child even though he hasn’t even been born yet. I am not close to having a baby of my own yet, but I am already learning so much from you guys about what it looks like to pray for and prepare for your children. Every step along this journey has been such an example to me of joy and genuine trust in the Lord and wanting to give him glory for every part of this pregnancy. Its hard to believe it's possible lol...but this video is literally one of my favorites ever. I have a true love for this channel and adore every video, but wow... hearing Tori talk about praying over baby boy's future wife just hit me. I've done the same thing with my own son and its so humbling to know that the words you're speaking now, are creating pillars of strength and a hedge of protection around your child's future. I’m sharing my sons name as an option! My son is due on September 5th and his name is Rhett which means “advisor, speaker, counselor” I wasn’t going to share at first cause it felt weird saying “hey use my sons name for your little boy” lol but with the meaning- i just couldn’t help myself when I heard you guys share how you are praying for this baby boy to be a leader, protector, and an example to your future children. We have two beautiful boys, Theodore (who we call Teddy) which means “God’s gift” and Asher which means happy fortunate and blessed. Ash’s middle name is Seth which means appointed and placed which we love! Choosing a name that is prophetic over your bubs life is such a special and exciting moment. With our Ted we choose that name because it was the closest thing to “God answered our prayer” and we love it because we feel like every time that He says his name he will be speaking out and knowing that he was so desired, loved and cherished both by us and by God. ♥️

Theodore was the name I thought of too! My youth pastor and his wife had been trying for a baby for a longgg time and finally had a baby boy, and they named it Theodore for Gods gift! I think Theo is also a cute nickname

My first is a boy my second is a girl and let me tell you there is something SPECIAL about having a son especially as your first. It’s such a way god prepares them for leadership and being a protector. Boys are wild for sure but they are so so sweet and tender and they LOVE their mamas and dad is forever their hero. When I was pregnant with my son I was so sure I was having a girl but my partner dreamt of a boy, that he could imagine walking along holding his hand so when we found out it was a shock but exciting as I always wanted a boy and really is that light of my life. We ended up naming him Liam which means strong willed warrior and protector. While he had no siblings yet (fingers crossed) he is the most loving caring child and always making sure people are ok, gives hugs, is a great friend at daycare. He was also born with a heart defect so spent the first year having multiple surgeries and had that strong fighting spirit so I really feel he is the embodiment of his name.

I have 4 children 3 girls 1 son who happens to be the youngest. 2 separate generations apart (16) years. I prayed that my children would never suffer from being from a split or broken home . God heard my prayers and granted me and my second wife the ability to spend as much time as needed to be with all my children. It started with Sunday school to regular school to marching band with all four kids . Then it went to Cub Scouts. In first grade for the son . My wife and youngest daughter and myself all became Scouts leaders. For 12 years. With all that scouts intails. To being Marching Band Parents with the field crew for high school band. All this to say . God granted me 4 great kids and many other kids and their parents as friends as blessings in my life. God speed on your journey with his blessings on both of your lives. We named our 3rd son, Zachary which means “known by God.” It’s timeless and strong. We knew the Lord gave him to us and knew him by name before we did 😍 Raising young men in this generation is a true honour. Congratulations!
