That’s so wonderful that y’all made it through! My parents split up and almost divorced when I was 6 yrs old but thankfully during that time they both started going back to church and got back together. That was 35 years ago! My life would have turned out so differently if they hadn’t have worked it out.

My husband and I went through something very similar to this when I was big and pregnant with our second child. And that very same song I sent to him as my way of saying I think we need to let God lead us to what is right and best. Now started the divorce process but in the process of divorce something sparked between us. Not sure where it’s going since we’re both in a relationship. I know I'm late to the game on this...but Thank you so much for posting these stories. We have a blended family and while we're not married yet its HARD! And so many of the things you talked about resonate with me. I'm a very independent woman and come from a family of STRONG, INDEPENDENT women and it often is very hard for my significant other to put up with me because of it. Praying for restoration and healing in my marriage after my husband’s infidelity and currently being temporarily separated. God will get the glory. Hi Lynn. My wife and I have been separated for 3 months now due to her past infidelity and insecurities in our marriage (noteworthy being lack of communication). We have two boys aged 7 years and 2 years. We are yet to agree on how to move forward since she doesn't want to meet and talk. Lynn - Purposeful Joy Amen sista! We are studying Galatians in Sunday School class, and Paul is heartbroken for his fellow brothers and sisters and their struggle in their weakness, but speaks of us knowing God and God knowing us. The origin of “to know someone” is shown to have a deep intimate understanding and knowing of that person. What a great way to describe how God feels for us and how he exemplifies that within a marriage. What a great story! Similar to ours! We were married for 10 years in the middle of adopting 3 kids at the same time and had similar struggles, my husband moved out for a few months One weekend he came over we too did the same thing and 13 years later here we are happy and strong and 3 amazing kids! For us it was years of infertility and then getting 3 kids all in 15 months that was challenging but with faith and love and determination we made it. We luckily had both families on our side. Good for you guys and love can conquer al! ❤️

Breakups, breaks, etc. aren’t always bad! Everything happens for a reason and God always has a plan. I know it seems like well if he/she doesn’t want me now why would I let them back into my life or why would they want me in 2 years from now? Well movies like The Notebook are a good example of that.. but these “rough patches” and “breakups” happen for a reason, God is telling both people to grow within themselves before they can continue growth with that person again.

They didn’t actually get back together romantically but in this instance my grandparents got divorced 5 years into marriage and then exactly 30 years later they moved in together because they each needed a place to live and my mom was still bringing them together and now they’re best friends who are just roommates as crazy as it sounds :)

Lynn I was married at 17. My husband was in the Navy, had our daughter in May, he left on Med Cruise in July and was gone until June of the following year. Was home for 2 months and left in August for Vietnam was gone 11 months. While he was overseas I stayed and worked with my mother. When he came home, I got pregnant with our son and was born the following May. So now, it is September 2020. October 18 we will be celebrating our 57 Anniversary. We are at our Sickness and Health part now, 2 cancers and is a survivor and this past May went through double bypass surgery, was recesitated 2 times this year and are blessed to have any other years together. We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He just celebrated his 75th birthday and in December I will be 74. I love him more today than I did yesterday. Was it easy, no. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Congratulations to you and Chris. Wishing you to a Happy Life for ever. Enjoy your kids. But, always allow God in your decisions and your life. He is the way.
