Brother your videos put a smile on my face every time i watch one. I'm so glad you went with a Bad Boy for one of your mowers. i hope you have the same experience with yours as i have with mine. mine was bought new in 2007 and is still going strong and i am very rough on my mower. it was the best decision i ever made and you will not find a more robust deck on any other mower. these mowers were built to last not like most stough you buy now that is made to break in a few years. Congrats to you both. Have fun!
Hey Heath and Rachel , I told Heath you got the Bad Boy . The way Rachel raved about the suspension on it . Congratulations on two fine pieces of equipment . I love the bad boy !!!!👍🏻🇺🇸🪵
Congrats Heath and Rachel on the Rogue! Two great mowers. I look forward to future comparisons, even between the Yakta and Bad Boy. Even if they are totally comparable, it tells me a lot! Thanks for sharing and enjoy! Also I like that mowing trick of raising the blade with wet deep grass.
Wow I am so proud of you two finally machines you deserve their awesome and I’m glad Rachel got one just for her it fits her perfect well done and their both super fine looking machines I would certainly take either one thank you for sharing love you both ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Next podcast please ????? lol take care god bless
Great going! Coincidentally - I had tested lots of mowers a little ahead of you guys and had narrowed it down to exactly the same two!! Reasons included same as you found - heavy build quality, YAKTA Innovations and warranty, Rogue overall cut, suspension etc etc. However, I ended up with a dozen year old used front mount Grasshopper diesel 722D with only 420 hours on it in great shape for $8,000. Comparable new one would be around $20k. I love the hydraulic powerfold deck and just couldn’t pass it up. Still I kinda wish I had ALSO bought the Yakta or Bad Boy and I miss all the testing!
You did awesome! Yes, they originally wanted $10k so $8k was a deal. Even the cheapest front mount GH is SO expensive. It was a one owner unit, sold by the same dealer where it was bought new, and serviced there regularly. This Kubota diesel motor will keep going forever. The hydraulic powerfold deck makes it a breeze to clean under the deck, change blades etc. Also it has the handy deck lift button right on the ZT bar to raise the deck over curbs. I really enjoy your videos! Super informative and relatable. You were among the first to show the Yakta actually cutting. I had jumped on the GH already before you revealed your 2 choices. I also could have gone with the Yakta 710 or the BB Rogue. Looking forward to your future videos. Thanks.
Awesome! Y’all sure have been putting in some seat time! I have a Bad Boy zero turn and love it! It’s just the entry level Magnum but it’s still built like a tank minus the suspension! Thanks for the shout Rachel! I only wear my hard-working man T-shirt when the temperatures are cooler😂👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Todd, that we have and we have learned a ton! We have a lot to learn but it’s been fun. Bothe the Bad Boys and the Yakta are well built machines.
I have a badboy 2007 commercial model (PUP) that is still weekly being used to mow almost 10 acres, and it performs flawlessly. I can't believe that any of the current offerings that I have seen could possibly last that long with minimal maintenance.
So... I have a JD 1025 because it is 4-wheel drive and Brakes. Our paved road is 6° and the grass yard is even steeper. How do the zero turns do on steeper terrain, sideways, and straight up and down slopes? FYI - I need a 4x4 for the snow blower on our road.
I live in Georgia and had my mind set on a Revolt last season. Every dealer I contacted couldn't come up with one. I called Bad Boy Superstore in Searcy, Arkansas. Super nice, quick to respond to email, and so helpful. BRAD said he had my mower but had never shipped one. He worked with me until I got it delivered to me. Check them out.
This was awesome Heath and Rachel. I love the video. Both mowers are great but I think I go with Bad Boy Rogue. I love the colour red it looks fantastic. It's not about that what matters it's about are you going to get treated well with the product you got is the main thing. Cannot wait to see more video's of the mowers. Take care.
Thy are really good mowers right up there with Bush Hoge built good I have a 60 inch bush Hoge and a 54 in bad boy and the bad boy and bush Hoge are 19 years old still get any part I need for both mowers.
BIG congrats to both of you on the new mowers! I am officially and unashamedly jealous! I would love to have that Bad Boy, but if I spent 12 large on a mower, I wouldn't have enough cash left for the divorce attorney that I would ultimately need!! 🤑
Thanks, that’s why you have to get the wife on board lol. I never imagined I’d spend that kind of money on a mower but having a Rachel definitely helps!
Great video, I can’t really say anything bad about either one of these mowers, but you have definitely jumped into commercial class now. I know I’m beating a dead horse here with the Toros, but you definitely need to take a look at the Z Master series with my ride.👍🏻
Reminds me of one of my Movies. Clint Eastwood Quote 'True Crime' 1999 American film... "Speed Zoo.." He says. The daughter says, "I want to see the Hippopotamus". Rachael was "Speed lawn mowing". I researched short wave AM/FM/Side band radios. It's good to try to do that! Take care Michigan! It's debate night! Wooo!
@@T_81535 Depends, and my neighbor has a Rouge that he was over 17 grand by adding the Roof and options, 72 inch deck better engine.. When this adventure 1st started over the Husqvarna, I recall hearing " I dont need a 20 grand lawnmower "
@@T_81535 My friend has 1, with 72 inch deck, canopy for the sun, etc 17 grand plus tax. This entire thread started with Heath upset over his MZT52. He stated I don't need a 20 grand lawn mower. So much for that. LOL but when they are free, I guess it's no issue.
I definitely went down a rabbit hole lol. We did buy our Rogue and spent more on it than I ever imagined I would. But we learned a ton about mowers and didn’t realize how nice the higher end mowers were.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I wish you luck, yeah I recall you said you did not need a 20 grand mower. My neighbor has a Rouge, he got with options and a 72 inch deck, the canopy thing etc.. 17 grand plus tax. Sad thing is its in the shop a lot for the deck lift and hydros. Brand new bought a month ago. I never saw it but was talking with him about my Steiner, he said Ill show you my new Badboy when I get it back.
Good video, Ty for sharing. When you change your oil, bend yourself a piece of cardboard & tuck it up under your drain plug & the oil will shoot into your drain pan. No mess over your cross member. That’s what I use & it works great. Happy July 4th.👍🇺🇸
Hi Heath and Heather. We bought a bad boy mower. It has the 72 inch deck. My wife loves it. Cut our mowing time in half. And it's a rogue. She has to wear earplugs or ear muffs because it's so loud. It sounds like a helicopter because it's so loud. Please invest in some it will save your hearing. 👍
Love the content, since you're a man who likes quality things, I recommend Sennheiser wireless headset mic. The current audio you have is mono from one speaker, sounds blown out & tinny when you talk. Comes out poorly on a TV speaker. Audiophiles will like your channel more & will add production quality to everyone. Just wanna help a fellow Michigander. Pricey but worth it.
You'll get the jealousy out there but guess what‼️ You both have EARNED whatever you receive in a positive nature. Don't EVER listen to the the grumblings of those that haven't earned that listening ear. Great work by the both of you. 👍💯👊
Like you two and hope that you keep doing well. I don't get why you need 2 unless you have to give them back or got them both free. I don't need a mower like that but like watching. What does that Bad Boy cost?
Thanks Brad, we bought the bad boy and it was around $13k. We don’t need two but thought it would make for some great comparison videos! The things we do for RU-vid.
@hardworkingmanoutdoors You'll make short work of any mowing with those. I like the old Scag I used to mow with, it had the deck in the front and steered with a tire underneath the seat (3-wheels 5if you count the gage wheels) it was nice to service but long so it wasn't convenient to store or trailer. Have a good one!
The Ferris were awesome too. We both personally likes the Rogue but I don’t think you’d go wrong with a Ferris either. I was a little more concerned with how the Ferris would do after a few years of wear as a few people mentioned the suspension tends to soften up a little and affect the cut more.
I stopped in at the Ray store today and they were supposed to have been delivered but haven’t been yet. They said they got your contact information and will get a hold of you.
It may look a little short on film but it isn’t really all that short. That being said we are getting used to the new mowers and will probably raise them a click.
The only criticism I would have toward the Yakta is the auto parking brakes are not as reliable as a manual one in a commercial setting, also the electronic display and electronic throttle are also not going to hold up as well as mechanical. I get they want to make nice features but this would be more of a headache when it breaks for commercial lawn guys. Seems like they are more entertaining the home owner or guys who are looking for comfort and features vs true commercial durability. Still not a bad mower though a lot of companies are starting to add those features too, because again it’s not about how long it last to the company who sales it, it’s more about the number of units sold, more fancy features, catches people’s attention=more units sold. Also Yakta only sales mowers with the all in 1 transmission, true commercial mowers have a separate pump and wheel motor. These all in 1 systems lifespan is nowhere close to a true commercial drive system.
Yakta has the touchscreen on their higher end units and I have to disagree about the reliability for the commercial guys. Yakta has designed the mower to be able to continue to operate even if the screen fails so you will not be grounded. It also lets you know any faults and if you can keep operating without causing further damage or if you need to shut it down. As far as the all in one transmissions go a lot of the commercial mower’s are now running the 4400 and 5400 hydro gears including Scag and others.
Thanks for the shout out Heath. If you let that clumped grass dry out for a bit and then go over it with the deck up it will look even better! Great series!!!
Nice mowers. Are they gasoline or diesel ? After cutting and you need to go over it again. Let it dry till the next day. Then go over it. The clippings will be all gone. I did that this past weekend with my old mower. Works great. Been doing that trick for years. And you get extra seat time. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤭
You’re funny. If you knew anything about us you wouldn’t make foolish claims like this. I’ve purchased several commercial logs splitters, pieces of equipment, lawn mowers etc to do comparison videos to help others. For the record Yakta pays us $0 and Bad Boy pays us $0 as well. But yeah we’re just over here selling our souls and counting our cash. Thanks for watching.
Bad boy mowers are not a reputable mower and have horrible customer support. They are made here in arkansas and i know the family of the man who invented this mower in his basement. You dont see anyone around here using bad boy mowers commercially and there's a reason for that. They dont have a good reputation and they dont hold up and they cut like crap. . Top 3 mowers ferris, exmark, and john deere is #1. Ive been in lawncare 37 years and have tried numerous mowers including bad boy. Im sure its a good mower for residential since it wouldn't be used alot.
Definitely no yatka for me, apparently all of Canada shut down last week, finally got a response from colby on Monday. To get a quote from him took 3 emails, and only through tell him I am post my experience with him on the channel did he give me pricing. But not on the model I ask for. Insisted on my phone number, absolutely NOT!!! Since they a product of Canada, I Definitely would not recommend. I currently own hustler, bad boy, and grasshopper, all commercial units, I would definitely recommend all three.
