2005 Toyota Prius. In this video we will be diagnosing our shuttle Prius that shut off while one of our people were driving in Jacksonville. It had to get towed in and now it won’t start. We will show step by step how we pinpointed the issue and what needs to be done to get it back on the road. Enjoy!

I’m glad you do these videos, gives people the chance to see what diagnosing their car takes, and your not just plugging in a computer to fix it.

This just helped me get a customer out of heavy traffic. Same issue, 2007 Prius cut out on a main road, blown AM2 fuse. Put a new fuse in and blew straight away. Unplugged the inverter pump and drove it to a side street so a tow truck could take it for repairs.

I'm new to your channel, ao I don't know if you use that format often but I really liked it. It felt more like we were there while it is happening and we are witnessing the thought process as it unravels rather than having an already done diag. explained.

THIS IS WHAT WE REALLY NEED TO SEE,,, I UNDERSTAND EVERY TEST YOU MADE AND EVERY STEP YOU TOOK SERIOUSLY I COULD HAVE THIS SEEM PROBLEM ON A DIFFERENT VEHICLE A FEW MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD AND I STILL WILL BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THIS DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . THAT'S BECAUSE YOU STAYED ON A FOCUSED TRACK AND MADE IT CLEAR WHY YOU WERE MAKING THE TESTS . FOR A DIAGNOSTIC PROCESS THIS GOOD THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN 1080HD OTHERS THEN THAT YOU'VE GOT YOUR SELF A RU-vid WINNER 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Nice work mate. One trick if you only have a 2 channel scope like I do would be to isolate the other things by unplugging them, had you unplugged the coils and injectors and had the pump running with the scantool this video would have only been 15mins long..
@HawaiiFoodAndFun
@HawaiiFoodAndFun 8 месяцев назад
Was it the AM2 fuse? I had the same. Inverter coolant pump went bad blowing the fuse. Disconnect the pump and replace the fuse. Should be able to get a short distance with it. Replacing the pump is a relatively easy process for a DIYer.

depending on the complaint if i feel its possible for a blown fuse to create the problem i check all fuses in all boxes first some of the youtubers say shouldn't be done that way. and yes i understand if its a blown fuse i need to figure out why the fuse blew. like a blower motor if it doesn't work on any speed i check fuses first if it runs on high i know motor is good. lets say i install fuse blower runs then check to see how much motor is drawing to see if thats the reason fuse blew. i see so many test and test to find blown fuse i just start there on most cases.

As we said below. We really had no idea whatsoever. It’s up to you whether you’ll take our word for it. We haven’t said it again since. Keep in mind the person who edits all videos grew up doing service advising and now runs the shops, but isn’t a technician by any means. He doesn’t just sit around and watch videos like Diagnose Dan like techs would.
