Our Smallest Hognose Clutch of the Year 

The great thing about having a huge backlog of egg laying videos is that we'll be in hatching season by the time they're done uploading

i love how every video theyre like "where are we gonna put these eggs?!" [finds a spot] "oh we can do this/they can go here!" "ok well NOW we have NO SPACE left for ANY eggs." [more eggs happen next video and they find a spot] that incubator is like a clown car in there

That tiny incubator is just infinite Everytime you need to put something in, it magically readjusts to make room for all of the containers

If laying season began in early mean, it means that we are very close to hatching season 🥳 so excited to see all the noodles

Yay. More hognoses. Azura tried at least. it always the hognoses this time who keep trying and sometimes fail. I think we had two others who tried at least. Pfff, I love how construction ended up being a season for them. Maybe Azura will finally be lucky with eggs this time. Maybe Azura should be one of the first females paired with the males. Maybe that will finally help Azura out

Could you keep all the containers aside when the eggs hatch? I really want to see how many containers you've managed to put into that tiny incubator!

I'd think the hardest part of breeding is saying bye to all the babies as they go to their new homes. Good job, Azura!

every egg video you release, i wonder "Is this the one? did they finally build the new incubator?"

I have personally noticed that the hognoses push the moss towards the entrance to their lay box. Almost like they might be trying to protect their eggs and themselves from potential predators while laying.

Poor Azura, having a clutch of mostly slugs! At least she safely got all of them out of her

I guess 5/14 was a popular to day for the snakes to lay eggs lol. Considering how many clutches there were on the 14 or shortly before or after I can only imagine how many baby noodles will be hatching around the same time!

The theme of this year’s breeding season is Ed and Emily worrying about space in the incubator for every clutch.

If you ever get three eggs again you should do a pokemon starter theme! (Ex. Charmander, Bulbasaur, & Squirtle) I also wonder if mama is just not a good breeder? She has slugged out before. But then again could be the males too. Do the males have a history of not pairing successfully as well? Regardless great video!

If you guys get another clutch with three eggs, you can do the three original starter pokemon. Love your vids!

I just ordered a het axanthic het toffeebelly hognose!! This will be my first hognose snake and I'm super thankful for you guys because you taught me so much about hognoses and definitely played a part in my love for hognose!

I don’t know if Emily will remember me, but I am the fan that moved from California and finally got to visit the Zoo! I was there on the 26th, after Minnesota Pride It was so pretty! And worth the wait. And we made the drive back safely.

Actually, there might be a way to tell who the dad is. If I remember right, you paired either AD or Farkas with another female, didn't you? Depending on how fertile/what that clutch turns out to be, you'll be able to figure it out. If you didn't, try that next year, pairing the same male you pair with Azura to another female regardless of genetics, ideally one you know to lay fertile eggs often. See if that female has a lot of slugs. If so, you know the male isn't doing it right. If not, try the other male the next year.

I love these 2 so much. Some of the other channels cut open the eggs, when they think they are ready, and pull the babies out and it traumatizes ME. I can’t even imagine what the babies feel.

I’m in Ohio, and there’s a road near me that the city has been working on since before the pandemic. They finally finished it last week, then it got messed up, and it’s like they did nothing. This is standard practice where I live, everyone needs a lot of tire repairs
