Our Top 5 Budget Hotels Around the Disneyland Resort | Anaheim | This video is based off of hotels we have stayed at in the Anaheim Area. There are other great options, we just haven't stayed at all of them yet!
Budget hotel is a loose term since most of the hotels surrounding the Disneyland resort can be expensive. These hotels tend to have cheaper pricing and are generally nice hotels. Please advise that all of these hotels can have price spikes due to conventions or extremely busy times of the year at the Disneyland Resort. There are cheaper options in the Anaheim area but please please please check those reviews.
Before making this video we double checked the reviews of all the hotels we selected for this video. All five of the hotels' reviews are trending positive at the time we published this video. One hotel we were going to put on this list have reviews that are currently trending down.
As always, we encourage you to conduct your own research and double check the reviews of any hotel you are wanting to stay at. Always sort by the newest views and look for positive or negative trends before deciding to book.

Please Note: Kings Inn is now charging a resort fee and a parking fee. From their website:Starting January 1st, 2024, we will implement a Daily Parking Fee of $20+tax per car per night, a 0.195% California Assessment Tax, and $7.88+tax Destination Fee per night. Please take this into account when planning your stay with us. Our disclaimer: This list is based off of hotels/motels that we have stayed in and they generally have fair pricing for the area. Of course, conventions and busy times of the year can significantly increase the cost at these hotels. There are many great budget hotels that we have not stayed in yet. Let us know which is your favorite budget hotel and why. Thank you so much for watching!

How many have you stayed at?
@AnaheimParkTourist
@AnaheimParkTourist Год назад
I had to count, we have filmed 42 hotels in the area at this point, we have all of our hotel tours already filmed for this entire year. We have stayed at more places prior to starting this channel. As far as budget hotels, the list was shorter. This top 5 was based out of 8 hotels. We were going to add Lulu to this list since it is a decent budget hotel. The reviews are mixed again and it is just hard to put a hotel like that on our list. Our plan is to eventually cover 80%-90% of the hotels in the area. There are some hotels we just wont stay at based off of reviews alone. If there is a particular hotel you are interested in, we might have stayed there and can do our best to help you out. .

It was great to hear your budget friendly list. We do not mind budget friendly hotels at all especially when the nicer options are so expensive. On one of our Anaheim trips, we even stayed at the Motel 6 which was ok with us (though these do look nicer). We will keep this list in mind next time we plan a trip. Thanks for sharing!

That sounds like a fantastic trip. We are doing something similar in June. The big benefit for staying at the Cambria is the included breakfast, that does save a ton. We love the short walk from the Tropicana to Disneyland, especially when compared to the distance at the Cambria. Our stay at the Cambria was dead silent, one of the quietest stays we have had in a long time. The overall noise level will be louder at the Tropicana.

Kings Inn is great. we are going there again this November. We did Kings Inn 2 years ago, then we tried Castle Inn, and we kept noting that Kings Inn was a better stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room clean. the water pressure was really good too. I like that you can keep your car there on the day of check out as some places near Disneyland won't let you.. Question; is it worth using the toy story parking bus to go to the Parks or back from the Parks?

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Kings Inn. When I stayed at Kings Inn, I just walked to the parks. I felt like the walk to the parks was about the same as walking over to the Toy Story lot. We have a video of the walk from the JW Marriott to the Toy Story lot. We know the JW is not right next to Kings Inn, but it will give you an idea of the walk to Toy Story. I hope they helps! Budget hotels are always difficult since it is a fine line of keeping the room nice and updated but also keeping the rates affordable. When I stayed at Alamo Inn, it was a decent place for a budget hotel. It looked like the rooms were recently renovated. We have heard a lot of good feedback about King's Inn from our own audience and from our Disney Travel Agent friends. We hope you have a fun trip and a good stay.

Hi Guys, I really love your series! I am coming to DL in Nov with my 11 year old son for two nights. I am super keen on booking Hotel 414 after your reviews but wanted to get your advise on the walk/safety for a Mum/child. We have stayed on Harbor before which was such an easy walk but this time trying to be a little more budget minded. Is it a relatively safe walk back at night? Also, are there shops around to get food after the park closes or would it be better to get something on Harbor before going back to the hotel? Thanks so much!
@AnaheimParkTourist
@AnaheimParkTourist Год назад
Hi! What an exciting trip! When we stayed at 414, we actually took an Uber back at night. It was a long day in the parks and our feet were tired. Since the hotel doesn’t charge for parking, we were ok with paying for an Uber to get back. As a woman, I don’t know if I would feel comfortable walking that far back at night. The walk to the hojo (Howard Johnson Hotel) should be ok, as there will be many other people walking that way. But then to cross over the freeway, I would imagine there would be less people. I think it would be ok….but it would be a situation I would need to feel out a bit better to make a decision. On the corner of Harbor Blvd and Ball Rd (on same side of street as the hotel 414), there is a Taco Bell and a Starbucks. Taco Bell should be open later. Starbucks will be closed late at night. There’s also a gas station on that corner and they have a convenience store for snack type items. When you cross from Disneyland, there will be a McDonald’s on the way to 414 that I imagine would be open later. There is also a Panera and a Mimi’s Cafe. But I’m not sure how late they stay open. I hope that helps! Please reach out if you have any other questions! ☺️

We don't list prices since prices vary widely based on time of year, how far in advance you are booking, and if there are conventions in town. Anaheim Resort Transit, which is public transportation, are the only shuttles that service the area. Only two hotels have been grandfathered into using their own dedicated shuttles. Anaheim Majestic and Candy Cane Inn. Both hotels have a pick up spot in the Disneyland Transportation zone.

Hi Crystal & Jim, any recommendations for the Oct Halloween season? We are planning to travel the 1st week of oct with my 5 year old and 2 yr toddler. According your reviews I’m interested in breakfast and good bed stay. Which ones you can recommend me? Thanks and awesome videos. Greetings from Mexico ❤
@AnaheimParkTourist
@AnaheimParkTourist Год назад
Hello! What a fun time of year to visit the parks! We love seeing the Halloween decorations. Some of our favorites hotels that also include breakfast are the Home2Suites, Element, and Cambria. We have videos on all 3 of these properties and they are all a hotel (indoor corridors). They are also all fairly new properties (less than 5 years old). Home2Suites would probably be the closest in terms of walking distance. For Cambria, we alternated walking to the parks and walking to Disney’s Toy Story parking lot and using the free shuttle to the parks. For motel style properties, you can look into the Best Western Anaheim Inn and the Candy Cane Inn. When we stayed at the Best Western, it was during Covid restrictions so we did not get to try the hot breakfast. We have heard the hot breakfast is back now. This property was a very easy walk to the parks and we had a great stay. We have a video of this property on our channel as well. In terms of comfortable beds, this property probably has the least comfortable bed. It wasn’t terrible, but the newer hotels had nicer beds. Candy Cane Inn has been closed since before we started our channel, so we currently do not have a video for this property. We are hearing they are finally open again after a full renovation of the hotel. We have reservations to stay later this month. Before they shut down, they offered a continental breakfast, meaning no hot items, but lots of variety of other items. Such as toast, bagels, pastries, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. As far as we know, they said they will continue to have the same offerings when they reopen. We will know more once we stay there again, so please check back on the channel later this month. We hope that helps! Please reach out if you have any other questions. Thank you for watching and Happy New Year!

The Candy Cane Inn will be on the higher end of prices for Anaheim area. Candy Cane Inn is a fantastic choice but just doesn't fall into the budget category. When we made this list, we were trying to pick hotels that were still reasonably close to Disneyland and offered rooms below $150 a night. We know prices can be high even at these hotels based on the time of the year.

@AnaheimParkTourist
@AnaheimParkTourist 3 месяца назад
For us the best and closest budget hotel is going to be Alpine Inn. They have decent rates and their rooms are nice for the price point in the Disneyland area. We loved the suite and it was a reasonable rate. We stayed there a second time in a 2 queen room and a very good stay, we haven't published the 2 queen room video yet. Our only complaint is the toilet/shower room is small and the towels are thin. However, you will most likely have thin towels at any budget hotel. A lot of people are fans of the Desert Inn and Suites and the Anaheim Hotel. We did not have good stays at either hotel and have no plans to go there in the next year or two. If you don't mind staying further away, the Sheraton usually has good prices and their rooms were remodeled in 2022. The biggest thing we tell people, look at the most recent reviews on Google or Tripadvisor before deciding. See how the reviews are trending over the last six months. For example, a hotel could have cleanliness or noise issues. You will continually see that in the reviews. Then you can make determination if those complaints bother you or not. -Jim
