This video was cool. You should do more videos of your local area! I also enjoy the videos where you try different foods. You should try international food from countries other than England though. I mean, you definitely have access to it 😂
That Place is so cool. i could spend all day in there, in fact i would apply for a job there so i can be there every day.. That Girl you spoke to was awesome.
Hi I loved the tour of the market out of this world the cake section I would of had two trolleys full of cake thanks for sharing jungle Jim's with us can't wait for the next video from burnley in Lancashire unitedkingdom xx
Such a quirky place! We'd never be able to handle so many choices here in Ireland, there'd be puddles of brains on the floor! Great video! Thanks. Mel x
Hi Natasha and Debbie, Im actually responding to the text overview of this video and Jungle Jim's. Just the way you wrote this shows how proud you are of what you have on your own doorsteps and just how much you want share the best of what you and your country have to offer. Its a nice change instead of American people massaging the egos of us brits. I'd love to see more of what you think makes your country great. Its nice to have some balance. Right time to actually watch and see what jungle jims is actually all about. Apologies for the long comment.
Unfortunately you seem to be one of just a handful of people that think this way as we have such low views on this video. It really makes us stop & think about what, if any future content to create. We spent A LOT of time on this video.
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow oh no I'm so sad for you, I thought this was super interesting. There were some really amazing, weird and wonderful things on sale there and it really put me back in America for a little while. I do like travel vloggers (kara and nate if you've ever come across them) though and maybe thats why I enjoyed this too! Maybe its leaning towards a different demographic?
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow I'm just about to watch this - having expected it today. But I didn't get any kind of notification that this video was up, I just saw it by chance in amongst other recommended videos. So maybe your other subscribers aren't aware it has been posted either, which might explain the low views?
I live 17 miles from Tiptree, it’s the only jam allowed in our house and it’s a tradition to buy my parents a selection every Christmas. They also make special fruit liqueurs, which are delicious (although now I remember you don’t drink, sorry and big congrats on your sobriety).
It’s great to see somewhere local to where you live and to chat to other people like Patti. It gives us an idea of what life us like over there I Ohio. Would love to see more places . What I noticed was how few people were at the store.. all our stores are crammed with people in the U.K.
It makes me happy to see places like this still exist in the US. About 15ish years ago, there was a guy called Dave Gorman - from the UK:c called himself a comedian but was more of a presenter. Anyway, he made a program about small town America and about how the large corporations and big brands were muscling out independently owned stores (I know it's been going on for years, as do we all). He travelled across the States, looking for little family run businesses. It was quite sad and I wondered if he would follow it up, but he hasn't as yet. It's nice to see places like this still operating. Also,Stinking Bishop....😭😭😬😵😵😵
What an amazing Market, it's now on my list of places to visit should I get the chance to visit the USA. Thanks for another great video, I look forward to seeing the next one.
Hi to you both hope you’re both well that store is very impressive no wonder you don’t need any food the British section was massive mini Tesco lots of love ❤️
That store is enormous! I don't think I could cope with that level of choice in my life 😂 Couldn't help notice that you have a massive tea section but I struggled to see any brands that most of us brits buy for our daily cuppas! Fabulous video, more stores please!
The term "bangers"comes from ww2 when food was not wasted and the makers of sausages used a lot of fat making them, and when they were cooked they would explode.hence bangers
Oh wow 👏 I am so jealous me and Christopher would spend hours in there ! Sweet ( candy) section alone !!!! Thankyou for showing us around x( Leicester 🇬🇧
I have been to Jungle Jim's many times but watching this, I saw how MUCH I have missed!!! I have never seen the International section! Of course, it is IMPOSSIBLE to see everything no matter how many visits unless you know exactly how to get to that section. I LOVED your tour & your reactions to everything. I agree about the lobsters & fish! It is a great place. Thanks for a great tour & you are right: Cincinnati people are so friendly!
Hi ladies, what an amazing market. I was enthralled because coming from a small country I'm sometimes blown away by the scale of the stores over there. I've been to America twice and I loved it. I was loving the lollies [sweets]. Thanks😃😃
Re noise in the sweets hall: my mum always told me that there are no quiet happy young children. Not all unhappy small children are quiet, but if they are quiet and awake they are sad.
That place is great. I think you could go all year by cooking 1 meal a week from different countries!! You could really extend your palate. Although with some of the prices in there you could empty your bank account pretty quickly!!
bacon soda!!, can't get my head around that lol. Id spend days here, its amazing, absolutely everything you can think of, and also things you can't even imagine under one roof.
You two could be legitimate presenters. Love you guys. I absolutely adore the prawn cocktail crisps you picked up (the vivid pink packet) i just wish you didn't have to pay 5 bucks for a curly wurly.......and piccalilli I could just eat with a spoon, it's a vinegary condiment that goes well with meat.
Must say I really enjoyed the video, gave me some insight of what your stores looked like, most impressed with the UK section.. please do more like this,, thanks to you both..
Wow, this place is fantastic, a real shopping experience. Thanks for showing us around. I know the viewing count is low but personally I would love to see more of this type of video from you 🤞
I spent a few days in Mason a couple of years ago whilst my son competed in an event nearby. We took a couple of hours off and drove into Cuncinnati and I loved it, a very nice clean place. We didn't go food shoppi ng though :-)
So glad you did this guys. Its easy to look up the sights but nobody lets us limeys look into the more unusual places The cakes looked very naughty. (Although I hate Macaroons) You certainly wont keep your trim figures if you have one of every cake off that counter . Thanks for this facinating look around, no wonder you guys drive huge pickups. The suspension must be on the ground after a days shopping in here. Cheers Natasha and Debbie Lee&Christine 👫
Hiya. Amazing place! I would spend a FORTUNE in there, having first built a larder the size of a house! Actually, I now think it's YOU who should be sending US stuff! LOL. That place brought back SO many food and travel memories, thank you. Hope you take us back there later, on a country at a time basis, maybe? Stay safe. All the best to you.
Had to laugh at the Robin Hood and his merrily suspect accent and dialogue! Wow, though!, What a store. Thanks for this insight. It's really interesting. More of this sort of content would be much appreciated.
Loved the tour of this fun shop. It would be intresting to see short films from your viewer family of their equivelants around the world. Its easy to take for granted that what is normal to us is the same for everyone " crab legs and all that stuff" nope not here very unusual in Britain.
Great video. It’s really interesting to see all that produce and the overwhelming amount of choice. I would find it extremely difficult to just pop in for a few items. It would definitely be a trip out, ideally with breaks for a cuppa and cake! I’m sure there must be cafés there???Managing the perishable goods/sell-by dates must be an absolute nightmare for Jim!!! 😊
I just had to come back to this video (after seeing your live) to leave you both many thanks for all your hard work making this video. I should have commented the first time I watched because I really loved this video. This place is so cool, what a crazy place, I love it! I could spend a very very long time in there. I really like the idea of you making more of this type of video, maybe showing us other interesting things about where you live. 🙂 X
I think most roles in logistics and supply chain are undervalued, picking and packing orders in the warehouse is a very physically demanding job and shouldn't be a minimum wage job.
I think lorry drivers, farmers and everyone in between needs a decent wage and politicians should be paid less to pay for it. I also think we should not be snobby about jobs like picking fruit and harvesting vegetables etc.
WOW!!! What a great store, it makes me want to fly to the US from England just to shop there although I would have to pay out mega for excess bagage when going home. Jungle Jims should have a restaurant where each day serves food from different countries, that will promote their own products and keep people in the store for longer. They could also hand out recipe sheets of the food being cooked
what's amazing is you chatting to these other shoppers so easily. You couldn't really do that in the UK, people are a bit more reserved over here and would be uncomfortable being so easy and friendly to strangers. Especially strangers filming them. USA people are a lot friendlier to strangers than we are. We're not unfriendly but we're a lot more reserved.
Which part of the UK are you from, we up north have no problems taking to anyone/anywhere and most people react in a friendly way, yes we`re reserved but it is still easy to talk to others if your personality allows you.
We are chatty in Devon UK. I've always talked to people and help them if requested... Mostly cat keeping questions in the cat aisle, litters, trays, treats, training !! The older generation over 50s 60s up tend to chat more, we were brought up neighbourly and to look out for eachother. Not the same now. London is different now everyone too busy, stressy, angry, and a lot of languages .... Here people wave from the shopper bus, chat in the shops, older folk say hello if they are sitting in the high st and you walk by "looks like rain" etc ...
Just come across this video. You have a bigger range there of British foods than our local Tesco Superstore. I wouldn't know where to start. You should try the Hobnobs though. They are like a little drop of heaven.
WOW! That's a lot of tea. It's more than we have in one store. To get most of those British items, we have to shop around, but how amazing is it you have every consumable under one roof? I wish there was something similar in scope and size in the UK. P.S. Great vid. 👍
That's a store?? You're 100% correct on it being the most unique store out there. The store were pretty good letting you film as much as they did, some places can be a bit funny about this sort of stuff. Edit: how many of the ingredients in those flavoured sodas do you reckon are banned in the EU 😂
Hi girls Deb from Wales UK here. Wow Jungle Jims is amazing. I love cooking and consequently I love food shopping for new and different ingredients to cook with, I would be all day in that shop, and I would spend a small fortune. I know Debbie loves to cook, so do you spend a lot of time in there? Great video keep up the good work Bye
Thank you! We don't go there often as we have smaller stores closer by and rarely have the need for international items. But we always have fun when we visit!
And to think that I find our supermarkets to be a bit of a challenge because of size and the amount of choice! It must be very tough to stick to your shopping list when faced with so many exotic temptations......................aE.
Wow, the store is incredible - it makes shopping fun. Must admit I wasnt keen on the fish section especially the live tanks with them all crammed in. The British food section was huge. Monster Munch Pickled Onion are yum. I havent heard of piccalilli jam - it sounds gross. Tiptree jams are the best.
Bloody Nora ..( new word for you lol .) What a place. I would need a nap half way round. ..Must admit I have never seen those jams in the store here , or maybe it’s just that I don’t look lol. ..
I am so glad maps are provided. I spotted Irn Bru ( Scotland's other national drink) in the British section, hurrah!.Catherine my partner would never get past the sweet(candy) section. What a brilliant Supermarket! Feel free to open one in Scotland anytime! Great video, well done.
Talking of "jam", have you tried breakfast marmalade, an orange/citrus fruit preserve traditionally eaten for breakfast on toast. "Invented" in Dundee Scotland in 1797. They also do a ginger marmalade which has an interesting flavour. :)
A great video, thanks for a tour of this amazing place! I just LOVE the big sizes you get over there - those giant Tobascos! We probably go through more packaging as a country by not giving us the option of those bulk-buy sizes. I actually like to import Folgers coffee as my 'everyday' cup! 😁 Folgers really needs to come to the UK!
You guys have way more british stuff than I can get in France and after brexit the prices on imports has gone up so most supermarkets are cutting down, one shelf is all we got!!
Got more varieties of tea there than they even have at Betty's, the kind of Mecca of tea rooms in Britain. Was opened by a Swiss orphan Frederick Belmont (was orphaned at the age of 5) who essentially caught the wrong train when he moved to Britain and ended up in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and opened Betty's tea rooms in Harrogate. Has been there since 1919 and is now Betty's and Taylors of Harrogate, they merged with Taylors the tea merchant who make Yorkshire Tea.
Hi Natasha & Debbie , greetings from Scotland 🏴.......you both need to try a Scottish Fry Up......Bacon, Sausages , Black Pudding , White Pudding , Potato Scone , Fried Mushrooms , Baked Beans , Potato Waffle , Fried Bread , Fried Eggs !! Cholesterol Overload but you'll not need any more food for 2 days 😂🤣......Bon Appetite 👍👍
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow 😂🤣😂🤣😂 , you can build up to it . Well you two ladies make me smile, so thanks 👍🤗🤗. Good to see a couple who are having fun & "lightining" the load that folks have to carry . That's a good thing after everyone dealing with life & then having the Pandemic. So , good luck to you & I'll Sub , Why not ??
Wow that's a really cool market. Me personally, I wouldn't use the map, as I'd be to busy looking at all the really cool stuff in there. Thank you to you both for sharing this experience. Look forward to seeing your next video.
Would have loved to see you both put a couple of hundred dollars worth of British food and treats through the register and give us a walk through of what you picked out - possibly with a follow up video of you trying them out.
Love the vid, has a sort of late night infomercial feel to it, but with added extra charm, for me, but I bet that place is creepy as all hell at night with those dead eyed animatronic all over the place !
Hey I absolutely adore you guys. I’m hoping to see a reaction to all the most famous UK Christmas adverts. It’s tradition in the UK for us to have emotional Christmas adverts and we look forward to the John Lewis advert every year. You should watch from John Lewis - The Man on the Moon (2015), Monty the Penguin (2014), Edgar the Dragon (2019), The Bear and the Hare (2013), Elton John (2018). And also Sainsbury’s 2014 Christmas advert called 1914 (which depicts the real Christmas day truce, where German and Brits played football together on the frontline). They are all so beautiful, prepare the tissues.
Hi Natasha & Debbie, recently found your channel and I love your content so far, I spotted Batchelors baked beans in the British section of the store and to the best of my knowledge Batchelors is an Irish food company, at least that's what I always thought growing up on the stuff lol FYI I don't have a problem with Irish produce being in the "British" section of any store, if I was away from home and knew where I could get my goodies I wouldn't care, merely pointing it out as I know you guys like feedback. Mick from Dublin Ireland xxxx PS you guys are an adorable couple!
WOW! First impressions of the outside - okay, we have a few, and by that read not many stores that have that level of "stuff" outside. I suppose that if you have the space then why not! As for inside - no shop in the UK would have as many animatronics as this does unless it was an arcade with slot machines and indoor fair ground attractions. Not saying I disapprove as I don't, until a few years ago the local shopping centre (mall) to me, which may or may not be Europe's largest still had a whole section devoted to indoor attractions and slots/arcade games etc. The amount of products in this shop is insane. It must cost them a fortune to stock the place and one would hope make a profit on each and every item..... It's a shame that you couldn't spend more time there as I'm fairly sure it would have been an excellent watch for people like me who are interested in products that are different from what we have locally. Good job ladies, oh and next time you have your camera girl with you, how's about introducing her to the viewers as, I'm sure they, like me, would like to see her.
