My nana told me before I got married that in her young married life as she did for mine she made down pillows for me. She did for my mum as well. So I don’t find it strange giving pillows as gifts. Bedding has become very popular to do so. I just adore all the things you have shown. At 64 I should be down sizing but I still love beautiful things.
Joerg's grandfather might have been trying to keep Sundays special as was the tradition by only using the beautiful room on Sunday. Sort of like the saying, dressing in our "Sunday best." But alas, Sunday has become another day to get work, shopping done. I put aside all that for this one day, it is wonderful to make Sundays special.
I love the way you two " live life ", the joy you so obviously get from even the simplest things and the fact that you are selective and deliberate with your purchases is wonderful ! thanks again Cherryl from Canada
I've seen many gift guides, but none were like yours. Your's are not only imaginative, but practical and useful and can be used all year round. Thank you for another detailed and beautiful presentation. 😊
Ideas for beautiful and useful gifts 🎁👍👏😍 by the way even in my country the beautiful pots, Salon, and even food often for guests perhaps because we are a hospitable countries, and my opinion is people should enjoy their things befor others 😉😊 تحياتي
I was so looking forward to this episode! It's nice to know that I'm not the only person who gives pillows as gifts! It's kind of a tradition in our family. Whenever I give homemade "bed-in-a-box" (quilt, knitted throw, pillowcases), I include good quality down pillows. Thank you for the nice selection of gift options.
Hello Kirsten & Joerg, No matter, how far back I go, into your video library, it is always wonderful!! It is only, after 6:30 AM now & I feel warm n cozy!! Your gift ideas, are lovely!! Love, them all!! Funny, you mentioned growing up, w/ rooms or things, not being used, because it was off limits or saved, for special occasions. I grew up, in a Portuguese, household & my mother, wouldn't allow us kids, in the Living Room! Only for holidays & special guests. The kitchen, also was saved, from frying foods, because my mother, didn't want the oil smell or grease, on her tiled walls. My mother, had a small kitchen set up, in our garage! It was funny, to me, growing up that my mother, did this. God Bless You Both!! In 2023!! Thank you, again for a high quality, video!! Cheers!!
YAY🎄Now to see your gifts Kirsten...Great fun. Jöerg, you cracked me up laughing! Love your copper pot! 👍🏼Totally agree: use your items, don't store them away. LOVELY SUGGESTIONS! xoxo
dear Kirsten and Joerg are my favorite couple thank so much for this beautiful vid now i have more ideas for my chistmas presents greetings from Mexico city!!!!!!
I am not sure I would ever have found you guys without the pandemic restrictions of the past two+ years but I am delighted that I did and in a strange way feel like you have become “friends” and I so enjoy our weekly visits. Love these gift updates and really how much thought you put into each purchase 👍 Thanks so much for sharing 🥰
What wonderful gift ideas! I think anything for the home and to keep one warm and comfortable make great presents. My favorite gifts to give and receive are books, provided I know the person well to know what they’d like to read, and vice versa. It’s so heartwarming to see you two as always. I feel quite happy whenever I watch your RU-vid channel. Thank you for sharing a bit of your life with your fans. The best gift we can give to the world is to spread joy and positivity, which you both do so well. Thank you for that. Stay dry and warm. Take care.
So nice that your items are mainly British made. After the enormous expense accrued due to the virus it is very important to support Britain as much as possible.
What wonderful gifts , I enjoyed every one ! It's so interesting to learn about the designers behind the products . And you're wearing my favorite dress Kirsten . Your vlogs are a balm for the soul 💕💕🎄🇨🇦
I'm also so glad I found you guys. I'm an old hippi somewhat and dress accordingly but both you guys have a very sweet spirit. It's hard to find real people out there. I love watching your videos and love watching your trips to antique stores and everywhere you go. I love goose down pillows and blankets. There so warm and cuddly. I made a quilt once out of goose down. I went to thriftstores a long time ago n pulled out the feathers to make a quilt Lol.
Hello lovely couple ! These gifts ideas are so exquisite! Thank you very much for sharing with all of us your suggestions!Bisous from Alsace 😁🤗😘🎁🎁🎁🎁🎅🎅🎅
My parents bought a set of Mauviel copper pans whilst on holiday in Normandy in 1992. It's 29 years later and we're all looking our age but...the Mauviel pans are still in daily use! They are represent excellent value when you think about it that way!
As soon as I saw the hat box, I said I need that as wallpaper!!! 😁🥰. Just beautiful gifts, love them all. You find the best products. Enjoy your weekend, my husband and I are off to see Andrea Bocelli in concert. Doug is not as excited as I. 💜💜💜💜
Oh I love your thinking! This pattern as wallpaper looks absolutely incredible. Just imagine a small castle, it's so perfect. Oh Andrea Bocelli, that's such a treat. Have the best time. Can't wait to hear more about it. I'm sure your husband will love it in the end.
@@KirstenJoerg If you ever get the chance to see Andrea Bocelli in concert, go!!! Absolutely the most beautiful night of my life. We know how fabulous he is, but he’s also a fabulous human. He gave the spotlight to several local performers, amazing. 😍😍😍
Wonderful gift ideas again. You both have very lovely taste. Enjoyed spending a little time with you again. Hope you are enjoying the Advent season. Just love your dress with birds Kirsten.
Aww. You all don't age. I've been watching quite a while and I wish I didn't age. LOL. Really love the wood merry go round looking thing. Thank you and enjoy your holidays. (BTW my family and I still talk about your video of the car on the train to cross the water. Just wow!
My copper pans and pots I use since 41 years. They are used each day for cooking and are like new ones. But you have to clean it by hand, not in the dishwasher. In combination with gas perfect for cooking. 👍👍👍🎄
LG

Kirsten and Joerg, I just wanted to say- I just recently stumbled across your channel, and I enjoy your videos so much! You two are so warm and pleasant; at the end of each video, I feel like I just had a visit with some dear friends! You’ve got a new subscriber from Wisconsin. :) Also, everything you featured is just lovely! I must look into those copper pots…
What exquisite gifts and ones that you can use. We love everything you’ve shown us tonight especially the pillow and the pan. I’ve been looking for a copper pan for my husband as he does all the cooking! I’ll certainly be looking online for these ones. We were given expensive pans when we got married but obviously they have had their day! Always such a pleasure to watch you both, thank you and can’t wait for your next update. 😊 xx Alison & John 🥰
Hi Kristen and Joerg, I made at least 40 of the trees that you showed us quite a while back and I used copies of a vintage music book. Because the book is so old it has the color of tea-stained. I also made angels and garlands using the same paper. I put together a small tree using these three items adding some snow-covered red berries to the branches and also strung a small set of white lights battery operated. I know she will love it as will the teachers love the angels. I feel like I have a little of you in my home, thank you for sharing your ideas. The music teacher at school will love the decorated tree, will let you know what she thinks. Lucille.
Oh my goodness I am so excited . We bought a new dining table from Denmark which extends to seat 20 . I have ordered a table cloth at long last which fits . Oh the excitement in Belfast tonight 😍
Best gift guide - I always look forward to it. I really hope that your channel will grow - you are creating such interesting and good content and you are amazing!
What a wonderful variety of gift suggestions! I loved them all.. the Rosey Posey print, Poisson hatbox and wallpapers, beautiful copper pot.. and especially the carousel pony that coordinates with your toile wallpaper! Such a relaxing video, but also exciting to get such great ideas!! 🎄💗💖💗🎄
Scarf’s would fold beautifully into that box - and be light and not ruin the box. A good quality copper pot should last a lifetime. I love that everything you buy is great quality and well thought out - it makes for a very lovely happy home 🏡

I am so pleased to have found your channel about 2 weeks or so ago. I have watched almost all of your videos so far. You both are so lovely and your videos are put together so well. You have such a great eye and good taste in your decorating. Much love, respect and Holiday wishes from across the pond!❤ Ps. I think I have gained 10 pounds because your food videos make me hungry, lol.
Kirsten and Joerg, such an interesting selection of Christmas idea’s as gifts 🎁 🎄 Christmas Loved every second of your vlog High quality gifts 👏, thanks so much , Mary Canada 🍁
I liked the video, you two make me 😁 smile. Speaking of formal, here in the states, back in the day, everyone had a formal living room, just to pass thru and look at🙄so I can relate as to using nice things. Love the pot, it's a joy cooking in nice pots, thanks for your suggestions. everything tastes better😋
Lovely selection for her gift ideas. I enjoyed your video UK has wonderful items 🌟love your video thank you. I’m in USA San Antonio TX but from San Diego California. Kristen you made me laugh when you said, we ladies buy all the time. Yes, if I want something that I definitely will use I buy it.😆❤️ When $$ is available since I’m 62 yrs old and retired from the Supervisor Court and have 3 beautiful granddaughters who live in California that I love to spoil❤️ My husband is half German Hartl was his mother’s maiden name. He likes to watch your videos Likes when Joerg says Yuep 😁🌟
You gave me a great idea for a gift for my mom tablecloth. I also love the makeup bag I’m going to see if they have something here in the states it’s beautiful, pillows are lovely. Thank you for sharing
kirsten, the dress looks like a print which my grandma used to have or a print that was bing used back in the day for pottery....at least that s what I think...anyway, recently discovered you and I must say you guys are great....I saw that many people commented about how calming your voices are and I agree...it s rare these days to find people like you....apparently all hope on mankind is not lost....you inspire us to relearn what our ancestors did so very well, slow living, in a world where there s nothing but craziness and chaos...so thank you for that....this kind of inspiration is what many of us need...I once saw a documentary about a young man from germany,as well, who redesigned his home so that it would look like a house from his grandparents era with all home appliances and everything...so cool....he even made his own clothes with a traditional sewing machine....I know you don t make your own clothes, but still....your retro style is also something that reminds us of times when life was calm, nice and probably in spite of all lack of technology, a bit more livable than nowadays...
Awesome gift 🎁 guide... absolutely partial as well. I’d love to order from the store in Scotland but @ this time they aren’t shipping overseas.... so wanted the purse similar to yours Kirsten. And Jorge .... your shirt is really nice! Each item is great, I saw an actor in my “Endeavor “Series ( Detective) It’s all filmed in Oxford & surrounding city’s , with a shirt & vest like yours... it’s a good series, available on many programs. Always a joy to watch you both..♥️🤗✨🎄✨ Blessings ~ to you both Take care
Stephanie from the Chateau Diaries just did a lovely video in the shop of Antoinette Poisson. They showcased the process of how the printing is done. The pattern of your hat box is quite prominent in the video. I just love it so much. I think I’m going to have to make a purchase. Thank you for the inspiration.
