It's great that the timings worked out because it's stressful having a lease coming up to expire and not wanting to extend it, but also not wanting to overlap too much with the mortgage. Really helps to have a good relationship with a realtor who has access to places that haven't gone on the market yet!

I was in NYC in 2012 and 2019 and absolutely loved it, would go again. I felt really quite safe but have heard from people who live there that it's not safe anymore? What are your thoughts on that.
I feel safe generally from day to day but I'm always hearing stories of things happening all around that make me second-guess myself...so I don't really know...
Sounds like it would make beautiful sunrise photos, but imagine how early you'd have to get up for a 6:30 wedding. You'd be so tired for the rest of the day!
I also looked into westchester real estate and I find houses closest to the city (an hour or less) are limited or get snatched up quickly!! But it probably means it is a desirable area to live in and everyone loves it!!

Hopefully it’s not too far so you can still come to the city here and there☺️ I lived in Westchester for awhile and it def was different, but a fun different with local places, friendlier people and more land lol. I just moved back to Queens though because the slow paced lifestyle was just a bit too much for me at this point in my life. Congrats!!! 🎉
