That part of the Colombian rooftop chase scene cracked me up when you boundary broke it, just seeing those agents chasing a young Nate down on a rooftop only for him to enter meditating pose and ascend to the heavens and having to explain that to their boss.
Drake is meditating to achieve nirvana outside the map. Extend his mind to understand that he is just character in the game, just a puppet controlled by humooon being
Dude, you need more tags in your video. Like, "Uncharted Secrets" or "Uncharted gameplay". Having one tag just isn't good for the algorithm and you deserve your videos getting more hits.
RU-vid's algorithm doesn't take tag into consideration to the same level that it did in the past. They're almost pointless to put much thought into now.
Not sure where else to put this, but I think the reason they lifted the cruise ship out of the water during the flooding/escape sequence is because ND created a procedural ocean for that level. This means that the waves are randomized in order to make seem more natural, for lack of a better explanation. So, probably due to the more intensely scripted nature of the escape sequence and how the random-ness of the waves and boat rocking would screw around with that, the devs did the most logical thing they could think of, which was to lift the entire ship out of the ocean. Lol that's using your noodle!
The part where Sully’s mirage helps Drake up and then just disappears gives me shivers. There’s something about mind fucks and eerie shit like that in games and films which I really like.
Thank you so much for these videos although I wish if they were a bit longer. I really wanted to see what was inside the EL Dorado before the mummy comes out of it in the cutscene in U1. Keep up the great work!!
Small correction at 1:34 - that's not ambient lighting, at least not in video-game terms. Ambient lighting is soft, non-localized lighting that is typically the result from many different light sources all bouncing around a room (added by a computer to simulate that effect).
I love boundary breaks of video games and Uncharted series has the most impressive environment designs ever. I am hoping and praying that you could boundary break Uncharted 4 soon. Thanks in advance.
Had probably 500+ hours in U3 multiplayer, learned a few glitches on the MP maps so it was cool to watch this video. There was a glitch in co-op where the Drake npc spawned in genie pose, always cracked me up.
Tbh the music is making me kind of emotional bc it brings me back to 8th grade playing Uncharted 3 multiplayer, before high school, or working, or college application stress, not a care in the world except for beating Abduction bc that mission was hard af
Thank you for all these videos. Seeing these games at all kinds of different angles is fascinating and really shows how they were made. I find it incredible what all is done to create the elaborate illusion of vast space and detail! You're one of my favorite content creators on this site. Keep up the fantastic work!
Core memory unlocked: London at night looks almost exactly like old Flight Simulator games I used to watch my father play as a kid. I'd say late 90's to very early 00's.
Imagine you’re kidnapping someone, and you’re threatening them, and then they suddenly go into a meditation pose and fly up into to air and go through the walls and out the building at sufficiently high speeds
Mate, I just wanna go back to super mario galaxy and rewatch all of your old videos like they are new again. I’m so glad that I discovered you so early to adventure so many games with you. Onward and upward. You are a real inspiration, keep going, you are brilliant.
I remember I once sequence broke uncharted 2 where some rubble was supposed to fall down and block my path. Somehow that never happened and I was able to walk back anyway, the level was never rendered back. Then I fell into an infinite abyss and died haha.
I WAS LITERALLY PLAYING UNCHARTED 4 YESTERDAY AND TOLD MY BROTHER I HOPE SHESEZ DOES AN EPISODE OF BOUNDARY BREAK ON UNCHARTED 3.... You really came through. Also thanks for doing that bit with Vinesauce Vinny on Smash Bros... You wanting to show Binyot your Super Mario Bros. Toad voice was the most incredible, wholesome thing to me. It also wasn't bad 🤣 I just wanted to say, thanks again for the Boundary Break episodes, these cutting room floor types of things in video games and boundary breaking in general has always been a special interest of mine. I try to break every game I play, since I can remember, just to see if I can't go out of bounds or find weird glitches. Salud!
Omg, I was just searching for this yesterday after going back and watching the U2 & U1 videos, thought that this was never going to come out but I was just a day early! Thank you to both you and Freako for showing off camera secrets in my favourite gaming franchise!
I reallly like that freako is shoving himself in these videos and having fun with the people talking about his art career. I think him and shesez make a great partner ship with these quality videos!
3:27 "enviroment almost looks like its straight out of a PS2 game" High praise indeed a ps3 game almost reaching the high standarads of ps2 graphics XD
Daniel Rieger You missed his point. Shesez said that this PS3 game has great detail and was praising it while saying it almost looks like a PS2 game, which is far behind the PS3 in terms of graphics.
by FAR the most interesting part was right at the end looking over the city at night, shame it was a bit rushed in places and subjectively put together. I would honestly love to see these videos be even longer, with more time spent doing exploration. I've been watching your vids from the start, and I love your commentary, but it wouldn't really matter if it couldn't be a gap-filler for longer videos.
FINALLY! I already asked about Uncharted 4 when your Uncharted 2 Episode came out and asked about it again on your Crash Bandicoot stream. Glad to see this episode!
Seeing Nathan Fillion.... erm Nathan Drake going absolute Zen Mode and floating through walls is so dang amazing that it almost trumps the rest of a truly great video. #MeditateToLevitate
The amount of detail in this game is amazing, definitely one of my favorite series. Still need to finish Uncharted 4 before I watch the boundry break for that
You should make "where we basically take the camera.... anywhere we want and we try to find secrets to some of our favorite games" quote to return since I always get hyped up hearing you say that every time(and you haven't said that in a while so I hope it returns)
I love this channel but the episodes have become so fast paced. I feel like I need to watch the video at half speed to have time to appreciate the detail you're providing for us.
My parents were watching X-Files as I was watching this and with the part with young Sully teleporting the X-Files theme started playing and I thought it was in the video
Console game graphics are quite fascinating as with limited power they pull this much out with that cell processor. The culling is strategically placed too and reminds me of Source maps that I make.
Gotta say. That the english word for "Fata Morgana" is "Mirage" somewhat shocked me. I'm from germany and "Fata Morgana" is such an odd out there word I assumed it would some international thing based on something arabic or egyptian. I was completely wrong appearantly. Congratulations, Shesez. Yet another Boundary broken. ;)
Another great episode. Love this game, so great to see it's secrets like this. Wish they were longer. Maybe a extended/cut scene sort of thing? Either way, keep up the great work.
