Out of Context Homestar Runner is Best Homestar Runner 

As someone who still religiously watches this show, I recommend showing this to everyone who has never watched this show.

It's weird how well this sums up Homestar Runner as a whole while still also somehow barely scratching the surface.

You don't really appreciate how wacky Homestar Runner is until you've seen it out of context.

I am simultaneously disturbed and elated at how many of these I could recite in real-time

“Throw… Baby!” “I hate that fweakin mawshmellow.” “So… many… sweatpants…” “AND THE DRAGON COMES IN THE *NNNNIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHT!” “Douglas.” “Wanna smoke some candy with me?” “You can’t destroy meee…” “I BROUGHT YOU A CAAKE!” “No two people are not on fire.” If only people quoted this daily.

The best part of the "French long jump champion" bit is that it DOESN'T EVEN HAVE CONTEXT. Apparently it's what inspired Homestar to make donuts but it's clearly unrelated

As someone who watches this show, the weirdness is even weirder IN context.

As someone who hasn't seen it yet and barely knows a few things, these scenes make me feel a feeling I didn't think existed, but i like that feeling

To be fair, everything Marshie says and does is weird/terrifying even in context.

Seeing so many clips laid out like this really makes me realize how much of my humor comes from this show

Honestly, Homsar is the personification of Homestar Runner out of context. Any Homsar clip just feels like he's in a different cartoon with how he talks and what he says

Homestar Runner was my first taste of the internet, shown to me by an older brother while I was pretty young. All these years later, I still think of so many scenes and lines, even just little sound effects are stuck in my head 20 years later. I wanted to watch a "highlight reel" of some HR content, and this was basically the best way to come up with that.

My older brother and sister enjoyed this show, but I haven't seen much of it. This is, without a doubt, bonkers but amazing.

A good mix of classic and more recent stuff. I give you a like for that alone.

Missed one... When he talks about drowning them in 'drowning them' (2:43)... immediately cut to Strong Bad asking "so, what are we doing for breathing down here?" as he sinks into the winter pool filled with red Jello. ... That said, whoever made this is awesome! I watched for new Strong Bad Emails every week while in college. Now my 8 year old daughter and I binge watch them on RU-vid! Classic!
