I as a resident of Southbridge am glad to see someone finally come and shed some light on the way this town operates it's disgusting.

These public servants believe they are above us. This was a good reminder that they are our public servants and they work for us and not the other way around. Great job 👏🏽

Poor guy, almost felt sorry for him when he jumped to try and delete the video when you came back with his supervisor... You can tell he's freaking out and doesn't wanna get in trouble... Kudos to you for stopping him and explaining to him that would be illegal, LITERALLY saving him from getting himself in worse trouble. That other lady is a dumbass for trying to escalate the situation and call the cops AGAIN 🙄 Double Kudos for popping back in on the "supervisor" and calling her out for her obvious unprofessionalism and lack of help with the situation 👍🏽👍🏽

It's incredibly disturbing listening to government employees call 911 and basically say, "Help, there's an American citizen here exercising their constitutional rights." That's literally what it boils down to.

One of very few auditors that are actually real auditors who stand up to tyranny. Thank you.

And yet it’s ok for cities to record regular citizens everywhere. Traffic cameras, police body cameras, ring doorbell cameras, security cameras - but they hate to be filmed .

it's amazing how they can't see the difference between being a private citizen and a public employee. That is just mind blowing.

"Causing a disturbance" is an absurd accusation. The employees were simply easily distracted. If they had ignored PNHN (after he said he didn't need any employee's assistance) there would have been a short video that praised the Southbridge Town Hall employees for doing their jobs. Instead we see lights, sirens, and duck-and-cover.

I love how direct, calm and unwavering you are. I like some of the other well known auditors too, but I think they play dumb too much and others are too obnoxious. You are a perfect mix. You are well versed and quick witted. I’m almost 50 years old and have watched public employees treat the public like shit for decades. I’m praying that your work, and others like you, will eventually put these people in their place while educating other ignorant citizens, like me to some extent, of what our rights actually mean. Excellent audit, please continue to keep all public officials accountable. I love how public servants get all the benefits, pay, etc. paid by our taxes, yet feel they have some special right not to be filmed during the course of their duties. Getting tired of these clowns and their special privileges.

I think they had to learn the hard way. But it was a close call. The kid might have been in violation. No one wanted to step up and take responsibility while the City manager was out doing who knows what. Are we paying him?

This dude is hands down the best auditor. He doesn’t take no bullshit and always speaks his mind and takes action for our rights. Bravo!

It's truly amazing to see officers protecting and serving , this police department should be a model to follow. I believe the officers attitude and knowledge of the law in this video is a direct reflection of good training and management from the top down. These professional officers deserve to be recognized for there professional service to the law.

It amazes me how absolutely clueless so many public employees are of not just their own duties and responsibilities as public employees but also the public's right to observe and document them in the course of their public duties while in public. In addition, as public employees they may be required to voluntarily surrender the ability to exercise certain rights while on duty. If it is due to being clueless, that can be addressed through training. But it's also true that too many of them know all of that full well, but are truly disdainful of the public they're supposed to serve and just don't care. Like some in this video.

I love how the only disturbances that are created in these situations are by the employees themselves and you get that thrown on you every time. As always, thanks Press for doing what you do!!!

Now this is a mission accomplished video. The cops were perfect, and they did their job well. The personal in the building actually LEARNED from this experience. The auditor did an excellent job in educating the people and didn’t antagonize unsuspecting people like another (un-named) auditor does.

One things town halls all have in common is shabbily dressed public employees. Perhaps a formal dress code would encourage them to behave more professionally.

That cop knew it was a call for someone taking pictures!! His excuse that the traffic was bad made it more likely that they could have caused an accident by driving like idiots for no reason!!!!

When you went back in after the police left and everyone was happy and laughing and ignoring a person with a camera, that's how it's supposed to be. Why can't they just act that way to begin with? Why does the town hall have a 10 million-dollar historic building while all the houses around it are middle lower class. That tells you something is wrong right there. The town hall should be the most simple and humble building in the county

I follow several 1st Amendment auditors and I really like yours. My only suggestion would be is while filming and looking at certain material, instead of just scanning over material maybe stay for a second longer cause to some it may seem like your just there to stir the pot or cause friction. I believe in what you do and agree with what you do 100%. Just a suggestion 💜

It is amazing how OBLIVIOUS most Americans are, including myself, about the Laws and Individual Rights, that dictates our daily lives. The guy that took the video, you would think that after this encounter, he would go home and start studying or brushing up on what the Laws are, especially as it relates to him being a public official. But, he probably won't.😔

These officers have been educated on the laws and did a great job. Nice to see officers doing it right. They made their selves and department look great.
