Out There: Bobby Worrest 

I’m getting ready to turn 40 this year. Skateboarding used to be rebellious af. No skateparks anywhere. I remember getting kicked out of stores just for having a skateboard in my hands because it was considered a weapon in the nineties in Florida. Haha. I remember the first day I wore a chain wallet to school with my studded belt, kids bullied me and tried beating me up just for wearing those two things. Much different time. You used to have to commit your whole lifestyle because there was no other option. It was everything. Even if it meant losing all support from family and peers . As long as you had like five/six friends that skated too, y’all were invincible. We skated the same courthouse stairs and the same bank curbs every single day for years. No cell phones, no internet. After school, first thing in the morning on the weekends, you went to where the homies were and you posted up all dang day. We’d have to feed five dudes with five bucks sometimes.

@@macflow14 Not as often as I'd like. I mostly play music but have loved skateboarding for my entire life. I can't get hurt right now because I'm recording an album (also covid), but when I was going out more I liked the Union Market bowl.
