Very suspenseful! Don't listen late at night. Enjoyed it. Very creepy werewolf story. Glad there's a part 4. Troy Durant is my new favorite voice actor, looking for more books read by him. Thanks!
Im at 1:13:17 and I swear tom is so stupidly trusting to new people when he knows they can easily be a werewolf he should have gotten him self eaten like 5 times over by now like seriously hey new people that i just ran into here's one of my guns especially when the werewolves are not breaking the door down for some reason so he should be even more suspicious of those around him
This has had me gripped, I work nights and plug my headphones in listen as i snooze, ive not been able to snooze!! I’ve been too gripped by this wanting to know what happens next!! Tom is he gonna make it! Rosemary will she? Her kids? Are the wearwolf now?
I am currently at 1:10:18 in the book and seriously, Tom is a STUPID, annoying character. With all of the repeated foolishly altruistic decisions he has made throughout this crisis, it is a wonder that he is still alive because, in the real world, he would be DEAD. If Rosemary insisted on going out to look for her children in that chaos, AFTER he saved her life (and she NEVER thanked him), he should have told her to go on her way. Instead, he allowed her ungrateful ass to brazenly help herself to his weapons and then caved to her demands like an idiot. Now, he is trapped with some unreliable and mentally unstable survivors, of which one steals his gun and wastes all of the bullets and almost kills everyone in the room, and Tom's response is to sigh, shake his head and ask the man who almost killed him to go guard the backdoor with him and proceeds to make small-talk?! This is NOT how real people react to these types of situations. Honestly, I am not emotionally invested in ANY of these characters thus far. As far as I am concerned, they can ALL die.
It was good up until he met Rosemary. Couldn't continue after that. That decision to leave the basement was just to stupid. Don't know how it ended but couldn't go any further after such a stupid emotional decision.
That along with a few other signals really put a spotlight on a woman author. Its not a bad thing but can be pretty jarring when things don't seem to flow naturally (from a guys perspective)
