Visually perhaps, but it plays a lot different. Where Elex corrals you with the leveling mechanic, Outcast sets you free from the start. The enjoyment to frustration curve is switched around.

I played the demo but it didn't grab me. My biggest issue is with the controls. They just don't feel right.

This game is for outcast fans, not you, clearly. No offense intended. WE have waited over 20 years for this. I dont expect mainstream AAA fans to get it.

The question is, is it worth £50? Around the same price as Dragons Dogma 2 and Baldurs Gate 3.... Outcast Second Contact on ps4 was the jankiest game i've ever played, did they add the jet pack from elex? I dont remember that in the previous game........

I get ye brother, tbf you can get this on disk for £44.99 and seem one at £39.99 as well, just shop around or wait for a sale mate, all the best from Ireland, ngl I just find this game refreshing due to lack of SBI types being involved so I've bought just to support it and to my surprise I think it's bloody great, you are right though, charging 58.99 digitally is a bit much, £49.99 is a fair price.

If you focus solely on the main story, it will take approximately 18 hours to complete. However, if you choose to explore side quests as well, the total gameplay time extends to around 25 hours.

I don't know what THQ was thinking charging $70 for a indie game. There's no way I'm paying $70. I find it absolutely surprising nobody's talking about this.

Cause we work and have money. If it’s worth 70 bucks why not charge 70 bucks ? Looks better than most AAA nowadays

By charging 70,- you can put the game down 50% half the time and pull more people into your shop. You probably would pay 70,- if a big red logo tells you that the normal price is 90,- .. today its on sale, so be quick: Buy! ;)

@@Cenot4ph deff not over priced …. AAA games are over priced this game is perfectly priced for what it offers I’m having a blast . Get a better job and it wouldn’t be “Overpriced “ they actually care about their game how is it over priced …. I even got it on sale on steam ….
