i very much appreciate the in depth recap. an absolute must when there’s been a large gap of time between seasons, it’s been so long since i watched season 1 and i didn’t expect to get a season 2 so i’m very excited.

I think most of the comments come from critical feedback about the quality of the voice over. It feels unrehearsed, rushed and poorly enunciated. I can’t pay attention to the content because there’s zero engagement in it. A paid read through is different than a practiced voice actor.

This is an accent used by certain cultures. Do you tell Texans to pronounce better and get rid of their drawl, do you tell Louisianans to get rid of their Creole words and accents, do you ask Bostonians to pronounce their R's better? Me thinks you are showing your racist side.

No, it's not an "accent used by certain cultures". You're using a stereotype. It's not even an accent, it's a mispronunciation. I wouldn't think much of it in casual conversation or a non-professional video, but this is not up to standards for professional content. This is posted under Amazon's official account. And yes, if a Louisianan or a Creole speaker (which you assume means the same thing?), or Texan, Bostonian, etc is a professional narrator, newscaster, etc and mispronounces a common word, I would be annoyed by that too and would expect better. Btw I grew up in Boston until late childhood, and have lived in the South for decades, and yes I'd expect the same from a narrator (or newscaster, etc) from Southie as one from the Palmetto State. Mispronunciation is not the same as an accent. Aksed, real-a-tor, nuc-u-lar, jewel-er-y, li-berry, etc. are mispronunciations. [p.s. I wouldn't have even replied here if you weren't invoking a cultural stereotype(s) yourself.]

Welp, I tried to find a recap video but i can't listen to this. I would rather just read the words myself than listen to someone else read them to me so poorly. It is such an inefficient way to receive information. Guess I need to just rewatch season 1.

The pronunciation should be the traditional ‘asked’ not the altered ‘axed’ as is used today by some cultures. Kept it as PC as possible for ‘y’all’ but let the comments come as they will 😂

Voiceover choice is excruciatingly painful. Voice overs are meant to be transparent as if not there. There also isn’t any attention to cadence or enunciation. The sentences are rushed through. The voice over sounds read without practice. I watch recaps to have an immersive summary, not a reading rainbow episode.
