I watched the first race and as far as this one imo the outlaw was much quicker on top end and acceleration in the first race, this time around the outlaw is still clearly faster on both aspects but not as drastic of a pull away! My analysis is this time around the 525 is faster off of the line they are about even (525 has small edge) through the midrange and 525 has higher top speed or atleast final gear is taller
The reason the Outlaw seemed much faster in the previous video than the YFZ is because it was. The YFZ was pretty much stock besides it being jetted. In this video, the 450 received an upgraded exhaust, intake, and re-jetted. It made a big difference but still not enough to beat the 525 as you can see. However, you are correct in where the 525 beats the 450. 525 is stronger off the line, midrange is about even, and top end is all 525.
525 all around is better yours seems slower idk I beat yfzs by miles well im,not stock I just have a piston and no air box lol and exhaust with fat jetting it is an animal I have both my 450 will never touch it unless we are on a super curvy place ...if I get any room im,gone lol...that's stock outlaw vs modded yfz
@@pottnah6152 Both quads run strong. On the cleanest run, the 525 was a good 2-3 quads up front. That's about what it should be both only being basic bolt-ons. If you're beating yfz's by "miles", then you're than likely beating the rider more than the quad. Seeing as though you have an upgraded piston, you probably have more compression which means more power than your normal exhaust, intake, and jetted 525. I will say that if we were able to find a long dirt road to do runs from a dead stop, the 525 would have put a few more lengths since they accelerate quick.
The 450 does have that intake, It literally says the mods at beginning. I was planning on doing the cam mod to it next but sold both long ago. I doubt it would have made enough of a difference to take the 525. But who knows. These roll races were the yfz's best bet for a win though. The outlaw is very hard to beat from a stop, it got out of the hole faaast.
@@tooslow9981 yeah do that cam mod, that one shocked me the most, also make sure you're not running gas with any ethanol, it's a big problem for me in California I have to make my own fuel
That's odd. Maybe the IRS models have a lower mph than the straight axles. Cause 450s are not known to their top speeds, they're made for holeshots and acceleration. The 525 is made for the same thing but it having more CCs should give it the advantage, unless the jetting is off or on a weak/hurt motor.
