Disclaimer: As mentioned in my video, this method worked great for me on some pieces, and not so well on other pieces of wood. This method works differently on different pieces of wood, depending on how the wood is stained and what kind of varnish is covering the stain. If you are using this method on a special item that you are worried about messing up, I recommend you start by trying a tiny piece of wood in a spot that is unnoticeable (ie the back, underneath, side of the item, etc). Also, be extra careful with wood veneer. Do not let the wood sit under water for long amounts of time, and make sure you dry the wood off with a towel when you are done. I am not liable for any damage to your furniture.
Also, the oven cleaner I used is fume free, however I still recommend wearing a mask, as well as gloves and protective glasses. And of course do this outside, away from children and pets. You will want to lay down a tarp or some garbage bags as well, to protect your grass or ground.
Good luck! I can't wait to see what your wood pieces look like! Feel free to send me pics on Instagram @shescraftyandsheknowsit
